Alan Titchmarsh’s First Cake | Mary Berry at 90: A Lifetime of Cooking Episode 5 | Full Episode

Mary Berry at 90: A Lifetime of Cooking E05 Full Episode: If Dame Mary has one passion that comes close to cooking, it’s her lifelong love of gardening. So it’s not surprising that Mary has formed a friendship with one of the country’s most respected gardening experts, Alan Titchmarsh. To celebrate her 90th year, Alan has invited Mary for a very special look behind the walls of his magnificent 4 garden. Alan has spent decades building it, and it is his pride and joy. However his skills in the kitchen have been pushed aside, epically as his wife is also a good cook. In fact, Alan Titchmarsh has never baked a cake in his life. So, always the consummate teacher, Dame Mary Berry is off to change all that.

In the magical backdrop of the gardens, with its Aladdin’s Cave of plants, fruit and veg, Mary shows Alan snippets of her old TV shows – how she used to picnic 50 years ago, and how she made use of the basic veg of the 1970s. Mary and Alan then make some of her most mouth-watering recipes inspired by what we grow. An updated version of a delicious creamy Cauliflower Soup, Mary’s classic creamy Smoked Salmon, Asparagus and Dill Spaghetti, a brand-new salad based around the very popular Burrata cheese and an updated way of serving tuna and salad – Teriyaki Tuna with Ribbon Salad. Finally, its Alan’s chance to make a cake! And what could be better than Mary’s all time favourite classic, Apple Cake served with cream. Delicious.

    1. Happy Birthday to one of the most beautiful ladies. I enjoy every minute of your delicious recipe shows. You certainly make my day.Sending hugs from Wardsville Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 🤗 ❤️

    2. The apple cake reminds me of our german drunken and sunken apple cake… we top it with almonds slices, cinnamon sugar and add rum raisins and zest to the batter, it’s rather an autumn and winter recipe. Now I will taste yours, dear Dame Mary.
