“Today is Saturday, and there’s an event happening in front of Sakae Station in Nagoya…” “My husband and I are thinking about heading out together.” “The event is called the SOCIAL TOWER MARKET.” “It seems like they hold it in October and December too.” “(For the November) Saturday one, I’m heading out now.” “And what I’m really after is…” “I really want to try this French cruller doughnut from KRULLER KRULLER.” “I’m hoping I can get my hands on one.” “So excited~♪” “I hear there are lots of other food stalls and shops selling goods too, so I plan to enjoy exploring while I’m there.” “Well then, I’m off~” Nagoya TV Tower, which ended its role as a broadcast tower in 2011 The “SOCIAL TOWER PROJECT” running this event was apparently started to propose new value and appeal for this TV tower Numerous food trucks, miscellaneous goods, and fashion Plus, they even hold music events Incidentally, another event is happening underground in the plaza—truly a bustling town! “It’s all sparkly!” “There’s water down there, huh?” “It’s reflecting!” But then it seems water is pooling on the roof! I thought it might be rainwater, but… “No, water is coming out!” “Really? Oh, it is!” “Can you see it? Oh, there it is.” “Water’s coming out! Kind of fancy, huh!” “Hey, it’s real!” “You can walk up! People are (walking).” “It’s true! Wow~!” “There’s an elevator!” “Really? Should we try it?” “Hey! Maybe we should go up later?” “Well, let’s just look around for now!” “Then, later we can go back to the places we want to see again…” The very person who suggested looking around gets immediately caught by the shop… “Would you like a donut?” “Donuts won’t run away…”
Probably the plate won’t either. Finally spotted the food truck selling the desired donuts. Waiting in line for donuts.
“There’s a Hachi.” “Hachi?” “Hachi (bee).” This plant’s flowers must have a lot of nectar, because there are so many honeybees After waiting in line for about 20 minutes, it was finally our turn They prepared some freshly fried ones for us “Looks delicious~♪” “Yeah, it really does~” “Let’s eat!” You can really taste the egg! It was piping hot and delicious♪ After filling our stomachs, we took our time browsing the shops. These are plates called SUQ They’re sturdy plates designed with a focus on being “easy to scoop,” “spill-resistant,” and “easy to hold” Plates that make food look great are wonderful, aren’t they? We also found a cute clothing store. “So cute!” “This red one is kinda cute too.” So many different shops, it’s really fun! Getting hungry, so decided to eat spice curry We got curry from Chikaku Curry, which had a line forming. My husband said, “It’s Anpanman!” about the Curry Pan Man… The sausage really stands out! It was a light and refreshing curry, not too spicy and easy to eat♪ After that, we continued our shop hopping Here, you can have them create a potted arrangement using plants and pots you choose yourself. I absolutely love this kind of playful touch (lol)! The shop that particularly caught my eye was QUILT, which handles vintage goods and interior items. So many unique items with a retro vibe! It reminds me of Parisian flea markets. “Is this a vase too?” “Yeah, I think so. Should we get it?” “This one’s nice too!” “The engraving on the back is pretty cute too.” “Ahh~ Cute…!” Since moving, our passion for tableware has only grown stronger We just can’t stop wanting more (lol) This tray (an ashtray, maybe?) was something I seriously debated buying I regret not buying it while editing (lol) There were also many cups from “Noritake tableware,” which is popular overseas “This is stylish too, huh?” “Oh, definitely.” “Somehow I feel like collecting all kinds of coffee cups now…” Some items were even made in West Germany…! It was such a fun shop. Another shop that caught my eye was “SILVER,” a bag and lifestyle goods store. They make bags and lifestyle goods using canvas, and apparently have a workshop in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. They had bags in truly diverse shapes and sizes, with colorful, cute handles. Mini bags perfect for quick trips to the store. The designs were truly unique, and just browsing the shop was a joy. Before heading back, I took a stroll around Oasis 21’s symbol, “Water Spaceship” The “TV Tower,” also a symbol of Nagoya, is fully reflected in it It’s only been about three months since I moved, but I feel like I’ve already discovered so much charm in Aichi and Nagoya An outing on a rare sunny day—it was such a fun day. The weekend flew by, and now it’s Monday. This morning’s breakfast A giant chocolate croissant, the epitome of indulgence When I went shopping at Costco over the weekend, it was on sale… A breakfast with just a hint of guilt But it made me happy and put me in a good mood “Good morning” “I was just changing the water for the flowers earlier…” “And this flower called a celosia… its stem snapped right off…” “So I’m trying to rescue just one flower separately, sort of… (laughs)” “This flower tends to snap its stem easily (in my experience)… “Is that just how this flower is? Like, it has a short (vibrant period) or something…” “Well, it might not really perk up much…” “But I’m doing it hoping it might recover.” “I have a task I need to finish this morning, so once I focus and get that done…” “…I’m hoping to spend the afternoon doing something I enjoy.” “Well then, I’ll do my best today too!” Starting work at my desk in my room (incidentally, first time showing this…) I’m steadily working on decorating my room, but it’s still far from finished But I’d like to share a progress update soon In the end, the celosia didn’t recover (I looked it up later and found there seem to be various methods, so I’ll try again) “Um… I’m terribly sorry, but it seems the microphone malfunctioned, so there’s no audio from this point onward for a while.” “So, we’ll be delivering this via post-recording.” “This was lunchtime, we were getting ready to prepare lunch.” “I’d been working straight for about three or four hours that morning and was completely exhausted, so I didn’t have much energy left…” “I decided to keep it simple with steamed vegetables using my Iwaki casserole dish.” “First, I put in the cabbage and potatoes…” “Then, I steam the huge amount of mini tomatoes I bought at Costco.” “When steaming them, I think pricking them a bit with a toothpick or knife prevents them from bursting.” “Then, bell peppers.” “Add them…” “Also, I had some leftover celery in the fridge, so I added that too.” “Then, I pack all this into the casserole dish.” “Oh, I added some chikuwa too.” “This was about to expire today… so I figured I’d use it up and put it in.” “Then I added pork belly, because I thought just this might not be filling enough.” “So I added pork belly as extra animal protein.” “Then I covered it and microwaved it to finish.” “I heated this for about 5 minutes at first, but the pork belly wasn’t cooked through, so I ended up doing a total of 10 minutes.” “Like this, you can easily make steamed vegetables, so I really recommend this casserole dish.” “Oh, the sound’s back now.” “Alright, please continue enjoying the video♪” For the dressing, just mix mustard, mayonnaise, and whatever else you like. Maybe because breakfast was just bread and coffee, the savory flavor and moisture of the vegetables really soak into your body. Adding pork belly was also a great decision. “Um, I think I’ll try making homemade granola now.” “Recently at Costco, I bought this Greek yogurt for the first time…” “I kinda feel like eating Greek yogurt with granola…” “I think I’ll try making some granola.” “I’ll be using Nakashima Shiho’s chocolate granola recipe as a reference.”
The recipe link is in the description box. “Alright, let’s get started!” First, cut the nuts in half. Combine the oats and dry ingredients like flour. (I did it with my ring on…) Add nuts and soy milk to the dry ingredients with oil and mix together Then spread it out on a baking sheet and bake at 170°C for 15 minutes The 15-minute bake time is perfect for finishing the dishes. After removing from the oven, gently loosen the mixture by flipping it over. Bake for an additional 15 minutes to finish. I have one more thing I want to do today. That’s removing pills from knitwear. The tools are a FREDDY LECK lint brush and… an electric lint remover. I mainly use the FREDDY LECK brush, but some fabrics can actually get fuzzier with it… For those, I use the electric lint remover. Honestly, wearing a clean knit just feels better. I tend to procrastinate and let them pile up, but I really need to make it a regular habit. I remove the lint balls that accumulate on the brush using the included metal brush. This is surprisingly fun♪ Ended up only doing two pieces today (lol) Time to make dinner soon, but taking a quick break first Since I drank too much coffee, I’ll have some Manuka honey dissolved in hot water with it. Seasonal changes make it easy to get sick, so I’ll take some easy, early precautions. For my break, I watched the anime “Funeral of Freiren,” recommended by my husband. I tend to prefer battle-oriented or suspense-themed anime. So I thought, “This might not be my cup of tea,” and hadn’t watched it before… But I ended up crying by episode 2… (lol) Once the granola is baked, I let it cool completely before transferring it to a container. Not feeling like making anything too complicated, so I decided on a proper curry that just needs simmering. Chopping all these ingredients is a pain, but after that it’s just simmering – seems like an easy recipe. Finished cutting the ingredients. The chicken needs to be mixed with onion and salt first. Once the aroma rises, add the chicken and onions and stir-fry. My husband is the curry minister in our house; he basically makes all the curry. He’s very particular about curry, so can I make him say “delicious”!? (laugh) Simmer until steam rises. I’ll finish washing the dishes while it simmers. Then pack in the cooled granola. Can’t wait for tomorrow morning♪ Finally, add the bell peppers and butter, simmer briefly, and it’s done. Excluding prep time for the veggies, it took about 40 minutes♪ Quickly prepare a salad with burrata cheese and baby greens bought at Costco. My husband came home, so I started plating everything. “Let’s eat!” “It’s curry.” First, the exciting moment of opening the burrata cheese This creamy, melt-in-your-mouth cheese alone turns the salad into a feast “Mmm, (the curry) is delicious!” “The seasoning is pretty good!” “Is this basically just spices?” “Yeah, just spices, I think? And canned tomatoes.” Glad my husband liked it enough to ask for seconds♪ Looking forward to granola breakfast, I’ll add some apple too Adding the chocolate I forgot to mix in yesterday here Finally, some honey. “Let’s eat~” This crunchy texture is irresistible…! This granola turned out super delicious Next time I might try mixing in some dried fruit – Please give it a thumbs up, hype it, and subscribe to the channel –

    Tasso.

Thank you for your hard work this week as well ☕
As I mentioned in the comments last week, I went out to an event over the weekend and let a little bit of the outside air back into myself 🍂
It was a rare sunny day despite all the rain lately, and I even discovered a new charming spot here in Nagoya—my heart felt warm and full 💓

That said, I still haven’t made any moves on winter clothes yet… (Is it too late?)
I guess it’s just like me to take my time before deciding what to buy.

How have your days been lately?

    Tasso.

  2. Bonjour Tasso, trop sympa la visite du marché, jai bien aimé, cest comme une brocante. Le bassin rempli d'eau qui donne de jolis effets sur le toit, c'est une belle réalisation. Merci pour le partage de cette jolie vidéo.
