This time I will make a delicious potato salad using plenty of readily available pork chops. There are some pointers on how to make this dish, so please enjoy it to the end. Please have a look at it. Easy recipes at home Let’s start by introducing today’s ingredients. Here are the ingredients.
Potatoes, pork chops, onions, garlic, mayonnaise, soy sauce, mirin, cooking sake, sugar, dashi stock, salad oil, and this time I will use these ingredients. First of all, regarding the variety of potatoes, we will use baron potatoes this time.
The Baron potato is a good choice for potato salad because it is very soft and chewy. And pork chops. This one is also ok as pork cutlets. And as for garlic, we will use fresh garlic this time. If you don’t have any, you can substitute a tube of garlic.
In that case, try adding 1/2 teaspoon. And here is the seasoning point. I will use dashi stock this time. The addition of this dashi will give a very tasty finish. And as for the amount of mayonnaise, adjust to your taste. I will make it with these ingredients right away. Easy recipes at home
Now let’s start making them. First I will peel the potatoes. Be careful not to injure your hands when peeling. And be sure to remove the potato sprouts. By the way, I’m using two of them this time, and the total weight of the two is about 300 grams. Please use this as a guide.
Peel and remove the shoots like this. Now peel the other one in the same way and remove the buds. Peeled. Then I cut the potatoes into bite-size pieces. This is just a rough approximation. Please cut it as you see fit. And when you cut it, put it in a bowl.
And then soak them in water like this for 10 minutes to remove the scum. Next is onions. Onions are sliced thinly along the fibers. Cut off this core. The onions are now ok. Next, I cut the garlic. The garlic is first cut in half. Then remove the garlic sprouts.
This is the part that tends to become soggy and burn easily, so be sure to remove it. Then the garlic is chopped. Coarsely chopped is ok. The garlic is now ready. Next is the meat. Please spread out the pork slices a little bit like this and cut them into pieces.
Please spread out the pork chops like this and cut the rest as you see fit. I’m going to use small pieces of meat this time, but you can also use offcuts or minced pork. Cut the meat appropriately like this. Then please put this pork in the bowl. Then season this pork.
First rub the sugar with the first two sweeteners of mirin. This sweetness must be added first, or it will be too sweet and rustic, so be sure to rub it in like this first. OK. Rub it in for roughly 30 seconds. Then add the cooking sake and soy sauce. Then, rub it in.
OK. Season the pork this way. Then cover the surface with plastic wrap. And leave the meat like this until you are ready to use it. Easy recipes at home Now, please rinse and drain the water once 10 minutes have passed. Then put this one in the pot.
Then add water until the potatoes are soaked. This time the potatoes will be boiled from the water. This will bring out the sweetness of the potatoes. Once the water is added in this way, here is the key. Here is where we add the dashi stock.
Boiling the potatoes in this soup stock will season the potatoes and give them an overall flavorful finish. Now let’s put it in. And let’s mix it lightly. OK. So now going to put this one on the fire. Then I will put it on the gas stove and put it on the fire.
The heat is medium. Let boil once at this point. Now it has come to a boil. Then turn the heat down to low to medium-low. And continue to boil the potatoes until they are tender, roughly 10 minutes. 10 minutes have passed.
Then once it’s done, check if the potatoes are properly softened by piercing them with a bamboo skewer. I think it would be a good idea to stab a few of them. If the bamboo skewer goes in easily, it’s OK. Then turn off the heat.
Then once you have done that, put these potatoes in a colander. Once they are in the colander, put them back in the pot. The broth can be served as soup as it is, so please add some ingredients individually and adjust the taste with salt. Then I will lightly fry these potatoes.
Then I let the water escape. This makes the product more tender and tasty. Now I put it on the fire. Heat is about medium. It will continue to heat up. Try to let the water escape for roughly 1 minute. OK. Turn off the heat when the potatoes are in powder wipe like this.
Then, please put these potatoes in a bowl. And once in the bowl, mash the potatoes while they are hot. Can mash them as much or as little as you like. I crushed it a little coarsely this time. After mashing the potatoes like this, cover the surface of the potato with plastic wrap.
This will prevent them from drying out. And once this is done, the potatoes are thoroughly heated and cooled. Then I fry the meat and other ingredients. Add a little salad oil to the frying pan. Then put it on the fire. Medium heat. Heat once for about 30 seconds.
Spread the oil all over like this. Warm it up for 30 seconds and then add the garlic here. And also add onions. And then fry these two first. The heat level is medium. When the onions are half cooked, add the meat here. Then let’s fry it. Stir-fry the meat while breaking it up.
Now fry the onions while tossing them with the onions. The onions are then stir-fried and mixed with the onions. OK. Turn off fire. Fry the onions until the water is gone and the onions are crumbly like this. Now, this one is going to be put into a bat and let it cool.
Now I will pour it into the bat. And let’s spread it all over. Then, wrap the top of this one tightly with plastic wrap and leave it to cool. Now that both are cooled, I’d like to combine them. First, I will add the ingredients. And let’s put these two together first.
And then add the mayonnaise at the end, which is why we do it after it cools down. If you add mayonnaise while it is hot, it will separate, so be sure to let it cool before adding. Mixed like this. Now the final touch is mayonnaise. And let’s dress it up.
If it is mixed well like this, it is OK. Taste the mixture at the end and adjust the taste to your liking. Easy recipes at home Now you have pork knuckle potato salad. This is how it turned out. It looks delicious with lots of meat like this.
