ウェンディーズのホットチリソースの真似レシピ – 1パイント分作ろう!

you know Wendy’s hot chili seasoning is mighty tasty and it goes good on way more than just chili the problem is it only comes in these tiny little packets they don’t sell it in stores you can only get it at Wendy’s restaurants well I want to show you how to make a similar version at home by the pint it’s coming up right now on The Cog is Shred hey how’s it going everybody my name is John and I’ve lost over 130 lbs naturally by changing my habits and recipes like the one I’m sharing today have helped me to keep it off so my wife is actually the one that got me into the Wendy’s Hot Chili Seasoning now of course you can put it in chili but she likes to put it on burgers mix it with ketchup and dip fries in it she even uses it as a salad dressing this stuff is really tasty and really versatile and we were going through the packets so quickly she’s like “I wish we had more.” So I decided to start making her the pint bottles so let’s go ahead and get started oh and and by the way the entire bottle is only 36 calories what crazy all right enough talking let’s get cooking so the first thing we’ll do for this chili sauce is take one pint or two cups of water and we’ll put it in the microwave and I’m going to run this on high for 3 minutes while the water is heating we’re going to add some seasonings to this cup and we’re going to add 1 teassp of salt a/ teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper half a teaspoon of ground cumin knockknock cumin half a teaspoon of chili powder 1/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika and 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder so go ahead and take your extremely hot water and pour it in with your spices spicy i’m going to set this measuring cup to the side cuz we’re going to use it again here in a few minutes but for now stir everything together and now just let this sit for 5 minutes a few minutes later all right well now that this has sat for 5 minutes and everything’s had time to soak we’re going to go ahead and strain all the little bits of seasonings out of it so that hopefully all we have left is the liquid as you can see look at all that sludge we want to get the sludge out poison and sn let’s get all that out of there so all we’ve got left is the liquid and now we will add 1 tbsp of white vinegar and 1 tbsp of light corn syrup honestly I could probably go with a lower calorie syrup but since the entire thing is so low in calories and you’re only using a little bit at a time I don’t really mind all right now the final step thickening it up we’re going to pour this into a Neutra Bullet or similar style blender cup so if you have a blender like this really any blender is fine pour that into your blender and we’ll add a half teaspoon of zanthan gum this will thicken it up all right i’m going to add some ice in here because it’s not good to blend hot liquids plus it’ll help cool it down if you want to use it right away shake that up real quick got my blender ready let’s blend it up 12 seconds later and that’s it now you might be wondering why it looks so light that’s just because right now it’s very frothy it’s going to sit and as it settles down these little tiny bubbles are all going to dissipate and it’s going to become much more clear and more of a more of a reddish color instead of this kind of light almost peach color it is right now so what I like to do while it settles is put a lid on here i’ve got one of these lids that’s got a little spout so you can open and close and pour out what you need just let this sit and within 24 hours it’ll be much more cleared up and ready to go but you can use it right now if you want it’ll still taste the same this is just so that that settles plus once these bubbles pop the level is going to go down just a little making it easier to pour into your pint bottle but that’s it so after 24 hours you can pour it into a pint bottle i got this one at Walmart you can leave this stuff out at room temperature it’ll last for quite a while my wife goes through it pretty quickly so um we’ve never had it go bad but there you go that is the Wendy’s chili seasoning knockoff why bother collecting a bunch of these when you could have all this right anyway if you try it I’d love to know what you think let me know i hope you enjoy it and if you enjoyed this video please be sure to like and subscribe to The Cogish Shred i just realized I’m wearing the wrong apron hold on adhd man like and subscribe to The Cogish Shred for more recipes and other videos related to my weight loss and fitness journey and if you have any ideas for other recipes you might like to see me try in the future let me know i would love to hear from you thank you all so much for watching and until next time keep on eating [Music] spicy

I love Wendy’s Hot Chili Seasoning, but it’s only available in little packets at Wendy’s restaurants. This is a copycat recipe that allows you to make a whole pint of a similar style sauce! And the whole pint is only 36 calories!

INGREDIENTS:
1 Pint / 473g Water
1 tsp / 6g Salt
1/2 tsp / 1g Ground Cayenne Pepper
1/2 tsp / 1.1g Ground Cumin
1/2 tsp / 1.2g Chili Powder
1/4 tsp / 0.5g Smoked Paprika
1/4 tsp / 0.8g Garlic Powder
1 tbsp / 15g White Vinegar
1 tbsp / 21g Light Corn Syrup
1/2 tsp / 1.5g Xanthan Gum

RECIPE
Heat 1 pint of water in microwave for 3 minutes or until it just starts to boil. While water is heating combine dry spices into a measuring cup or bowl. When water is hot add it to the spices, stir, and let sit for 5 minutes. Then strain all spices from the sauce liquid and discard the spice sludge. Add vinegar and corn syrup to sauce and stir. Pour into a blender or blender cup and add xanthan gum and some ice cubes to cool. Shake for a moment to cool liquid down, then blend until everything is combined and sauce is thick and frothy. Let sit until sauce has returned to it’s original translucent color and pour into a sauce bottle. Enjoy!

  1. The nice thing is Wendy's sells their canned chili at Walmart so this will go great with it. I'll end up using it in my chili recipe though. It won my company's chili cook-off.

  2. Maybe you could just add some sweetener to a bottle of Franks RedHot Sauce, you would have about the same thing without all the measuring, heating, straining, etc : )

  3. Actually, upon further investigation RedHot makes a sweet version with honey that is probably similar to the Wendys sauce and premade, perhaps your wife would like that sauce.
