season and production area
It is not widely distributed in Japan, but you can sometimes see it at direct sales shops. It is a plant that is often grown at home. The vines are strong and grow steadily, so they are also suitable for green curtains.
Micro cucumbers are plants native to Mexico and are sensitive to cold weather, so they are grown in sunny and well-ventilated areas. It can be harvested from July to September, and the season is August.

マイクロきゅうりについてみていきましょう。
基本情報
マイクロきゅうりとは、メキシコ原産のウリ科メロトリア属の植物です。きゅうりメロンやマウスメロンなどとも呼ばれています。名前にきゅうりやメロンと付いていますが、きゅうりやメロンはウリ科キュウリ属なので分類は異なります。
旬と産地
日本ではあまり流通していませんが、産直ショップなどで見かけることもあります。家庭で栽培されていることが多い植物です。つるが丈夫でどんどん成長するので、グリーンカーテンにも向いています。
マイクロきゅうりはメキシコ原産の植物で寒さに弱いので、日当たりがよく風通しのよい場所で栽培されています。7～9月に収穫でき、旬は8月です。
