    清晨六点,红专南路早市已热气升腾,豆浆油条、三鲜米线唤醒冬日的街头;一路向东,焦岱古镇的大集人声鼎沸,腊牛肉饸饹、羊杂热汤在铁锅与土灶间翻滚;午后的西仓门,酸辣小炒泡馍与油泼面的香气交织在狭长巷陌;城墙根下的东仓门,现炸牛肉饼金黄酥脆,是西安人雷打不动的早餐记忆。

    In this episode, we explore six iconic local markets and morning bazaars across Xi’an, Shaanxi Province—from neighborhoods beneath the ancient city walls to bustling markets in surrounding towns. This is a slow walk through the city’s rhythms, guided by food and fire.

    At 6 a.m., Hongzhuan South Road Morning Market comes alive with steaming soy milk, fried dough sticks, and rice noodles. Heading east, the vibrant Jiaodai Ancient Town Market fills the air with sizzling lamb offal noodles and cured beef. In the afternoon, the narrow alleys of Xicangmen offer sour-spicy stir-fried paomo and chili-splashed noodles. Beneath the city walls at Dongcangmen, freshly fried beef pastries remain a timeless breakfast tradition.

    As dusk falls, the Textile City 715 Market glows with charcoal heat—clay-pot cumin sandwiches, egg crepes, and hot rice jelly. At night, Weiqu Old Street shines under warm lights, where walnut buns and bubbling rice noodles carry flavors shaped by the Qinba Mountains.
