Japan Classy Style Say goodbye to bottle frustration!
5 must-have kitchen tools “There’s just nothing good out there…”
That’s what people say about oil bottles. After years of searching, I’ve finally found the perfect one!! For the first time, I’ve found items that truly feel easy to use—
introducing top-tier kitchen tools and new releases! I’ve officially graduated from being an oil bottle wanderer. Details of all items featured are in the description box—check it out! Geerow | Oil Spray Bottle I’ve been searching for ages… …for a good oil spray bottle. I’ve tried so many over the years, but none of them were any good— and I was disappointed every time. But finally! I’ve found one that I genuinely like! Geerow Cooking Oil Spray Bottle – 250ml There are many similar products out there, but this one is made of glass. The top is plastic—stainless steel would’ve been nicer, but… There’s also a white version of this part. There’s no cap—you just squeeze the lever, and it sprays oil like a mist. Cooking with less oil is better for your health, so I’ve been searching for the right tool. It’s also perfect for when you only need a little oil, like for salads. But the ones I’ve tried before either wouldn’t spray at all, dripped, got clogged, or broke halfway through. This one doesn’t clog and sprays consistently. To refill it, just twist off the top. The opening is wide and easy to pour into. Let’s try spraying it. Just pull the lever. Even after four sprays, it only released this much oil. To spray over a wide area, hold it farther away. It’s easy to use, and the spray pressure is just right. Pretty good, right? Let’s try again. When spraying up close, this is about how much comes out in one spray. From a distance, it’s just right in a single spray. It barely drips at all. You want to use as little as possible for salads, right? This lets you spray a very small amount, so I think it’s the best option for salads. It’s also handy for oven cooking. Here’s a salmon sandwich. Put salt, pepper, and mustard on the salmon. Then add spinach or feta cheese to your liking. If you don’t have feta, cottage cheese works, and add some lemon. Top it with another piece of salmon to make the sandwich. Add more lemon, and another dash of salt and pepper. Oops, I forgot to add the dill! Add lots of dill in between. And add more dill on top. I really love dill, so I use a lot—lol But it’s up to your taste! If there’s room, you can add other veggies too. Spray olive oil on top and pop it in the oven. This is another time when the spray bottle comes in handy. Bake at 190°C for about 25 minutes. I’m a bit casual with the timing—lol Adjust the time depending on what you’re using and the thickness. Heating My daughter, who’s a bigger foodie than me, taught me this super easy and tasty recipe. It’s honestly so good. No.2 | Oil Bottle with Measuring Marks Here’s another item— another recommended oil bottle. I was already happy with the last one, but this one had great reviews, so I gave it a try. This one’s also made of glass. The cap is plastic. It holds about 200ml. Remove the cap, and press the top like this. You refill it by twisting it open. This one isn’t a spray type, but it dispenses a precise amount. At the base, there are marks for 0.25ml and 0.5ml, Rotate the top and align the arrow with 0.25 or 0.5 to dispense that exact amount. Let’s try dispensing 0.25ml first. It comes out in a relatively straight stream. Let’s try again, a bit closer. Now let’s try 0.5ml. If you need 1/2 teaspoon, just press it 5 times!!! So convenient to use without measuring! The grip has an indentation, making it less slippery. It’s slim, lightweight, and easy to grab. Let me do it again. For salads, 0.25ml is the perfect amount. There’s one thing to be careful about when using it. After pressing the top, you must quickly release it right away. That part is really important. If you press and hold for a few seconds, it will drip. Now I’ll show you with a quick release. This way, there’s no dripping. Next, I’ll press and hold for a bit before releasing. Can you see a bit of oil coming out here? It ends up overflowing slightly like this. In that case, you can just wipe it with a paper towel—no big deal. Just remember to press and quickly release for a smooth experience. I haven’t used this one for very long yet, so I’ll update you on how it goes later. No.3 | Olive Oil Spray Can Lastly, here’s this one. This type already comes filled with oil. You’ve probably used something like this at least once. This is MANTOVA’s 100% Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It contains 228g. Store at room temperature away from direct sunlight. The slim shape makes it easy to hold. The “spray” feeling is unique and satisfying. Let me show you. It actually has a triple action mechanism. Triple action:
Strong – wide spray
Medium – narrow beam
Weak – drip mode First, I’ll press it lightly. It comes out in drops. Next, press with medium strength. It dispenses in a stream. It takes a bit of practice to get just a small amount, but you’ll get used to it quickly. If you press too hard by mistake, it sprays out. Lastly, the “Strong” mode. It turns into a full spray. On a 16cm pan, it sprays beyond the edges. With the spray, you don’t have to spread oil manually like this— it covers the surface all at once. It’s quick and you can start cooking right away. Compared to refillable options, it’s not as cost-effective. But the advantage of this canned type is— it’s sealed, so it lasts longer and is less prone to oxidation. So if you don’t use oil frequently, this is the best long-lasting option. It may leak a little, but it’s nothing a quick wipe can’t handle. Perfect for those who use it less often. For salads, the spray mode is a bit too strong, so the “Weak” mode is best. Here’s another similar oil spray bottle. You often see this one at COSTCO, right? It’s called OTTAVIO. First, the size is different when you compare them. The white MANTOVA bottle is 24cm tall. This one is about 25.5cm tall. So consider shelf height when storing. The MANTOVA bottle contains about 230g. The COSTCO version has around 370g. It’s over 1.5 times larger—probably twice the value too! You can really see the difference when they’re side by side. Both have the same triple spray functionality. First, let’s try pressing firmly. It’s quite strong, right? It just barely fits on a 26cm frying pan. The spray covers a wide area and has strong pressure. Second setting: a thinner spray. But it’s a bit hard to control. I want it to drip slowly, but it keeps spraying instead—oops. I’m clearly not good at this. The first one I introduced was much easier to control for smaller amounts. The COSTCO one works okay once you get used to it. The trick for less output is to press the green part near the back and push it backward like this. That makes it a lot easier to manage. Since it’s big and thick, it might be hard to control the pressure with one hand. But if you mainly want strong output, the cost performance is excellent— no issues at all using this one. So much oil… Guess I’ll have to make ajillo today. 😆 This one has a bright white design and is compact. Easy to hold and store with one hand. For spraying or small amounts, this one is really handy. No.4 Recommended Oil Bottles Next up: standard-use oil bottles. What kind of container do you use for oil? This is the one I’ve shown before. The oil bottle from iwaki. I’ve been using this one for many years. The combination of glass and stainless steel is so elegant. Compared to plastic, glass and steel give off a higher-quality feel— they make your kitchen look more refined. I haven’t found anything that compares, so I still use it. It’s easy to open, but there’s a trick. Instead of lifting straight up, tilt the lid slightly as you remove it. Even if you pour oil, it flows back in— it’s been five years since I bought it, and I’ve never had oil build-up around the spout. Just wipe the glass with a little Pastueriser, and it stays sparkling clean and beautiful. I keep olive oil and regular cooking oil in mine. If you store it in a drawer, you don’t necessarily need glass. Here’s another recommendation: Also glass and stainless steel—stylish DULTON. At first, I used it for sauces, but I found a better sauce container, so now it’s for oil. It opens with one touch and closes automatically with a spring. The spout is just the right size—not too wide. It doesn’t pour too quickly. And there’s no dripping. I use it as a refill bottle— leftover oil from iwaki goes in here. Keeping everything in the same type of bottle helps with storage efficiency. It also looks tidy, and you can refill without rushing. This one holds sesame oil. I use Oisix a lot, and I often pick recipes that use sesame oil. That’s why I love how this bottle makes measuring easy. Since I started using this, cooking has gotten easier. Being able to do it with one hand is such a time-saver. A nice feature for oil bottles—dishwasher safe! iwaki is also dishwasher-safe, of course. I store the DULTON bottles in a drawer. By the way, this is the Range Mate I showed before. Someone asked where I store it— since my kitchen has limited storage, I keep it standing next to the pots. Right next to the pots in an upright position. Why don’t I keep it out on the counter? Our kitchen gets a bit of sunlight, so the oil in large bottles might go rancid before we finish them. Even in the iwaki, I only fill it halfway. It’s too big for a household of two, so I use it as backup storage. Great for kitchens with no sunlight or drawer storage fans. No.5 EAトCO | Shibolu Tongs These are the Shibolu Tongs. A super popular item—and now there’s a new version! When it’s a hassle to squeeze out contents from pouches, these make it easy to get every last bit out like this. The V and W shaped interlocking design here— Unlike similar items from 100-yen shops, the interlocking design is unmatched. And it features a beautifully crafted design. It’s strong enough that it won’t bend no matter how hard you try. So just by squeezing the base, you can extract every last bit. Now the tongs are available in a new S size. A much more compact size has been released. This is how different the sizes are. The handle has also been made a bit smaller, and the length is about two-thirds of the original. Of course, MADE IN JAPAN. Even in a smaller size, the interlocking quality is unchanged. Because it’s easier to hold, the S size actually feels even stronger. It fits right in the palm of your hand, which is super convenient. It’s nimble and easy to use. As for the larger tongs, I used to store them like this because of the length. But with the S size being compact, I can just stick it in easily. Small kitchen tools can be stored and retrieved from this Remococo stand. It makes access and storage much easier and more efficient. Since the tips flare out, it’s easier to take them out when stored upright rather than laid flat. You can just insert it as is. Even when it’s open, it’s fine. When storing multiple items, close it and insert it in. It also comes in gray and beige. Originally meant to hold remotes, but it works great like this too. It also works well for food items like wasabi tubes. Normally I’d give up at this point, but when I use the tongs, there’s still more inside—lol. These vinyl tubes are quite stiff, so instead of squeezing once, if you gently press it like this, the contents gather and come out. Still more coming out. I’ve never been able to fully use up a tube before, but look at this. Totally empty—lol. Amazing how cleanly it gets every last drop. Once you use it, you’re hooked—lol. For large packs, I use the original big tongs. But if you squeeze from both sides like this, the S size works too. So flat and thin. These popular MUJI retort pouches are small enough that the S size works perfectly. You can extract them cleanly even with the S size. It’s great for cat treats like Churu or wet food, too. Even supplements for cats’ hydration—this S size is perfect. You can squeeze out every last drop without waste. I might’ve wasted a lot before without realizing it… Super thin again. Churu tubes are narrow, so the bigger type might be overkill, but the S size is just right and easy to grab. Makes me want to use it on the spot. The compact S size is perfect for cosmetics too. The size fits nicely even in a bathroom sink area. Also useful for toothpaste. It fits just right. And it squeezes cleanly. It’s also great for refilling shampoo, lotion, or hair cream. These days everything comes in refills. When it comes to cosmetics, I don’t want to waste a single drop—lol. When there’s “just a bit left” in your shampoo… If you squeeze it with these tongs, you’ll be shocked how much more comes out—lol! There’s more left than you think. Even after dispensing, when you squeeze again… Surprisingly, there’s still this much left! I might’ve been wasting a lot without realizing. Now, there’s truly nothing left! Flat as can be! Even hair serums can be squeezed clean to the last drop. This is a must-have for refilling cosmetics. You should definitely give it a try. This time, it was a highly requested topic, and something I’ve been searching for over many years. I finally found the perfect oil bottle I’ve been looking for. And also introduced the new version of the must-have Shibolu tongs.
