【グルメ/コスパ旅】和歌山 那智勝浦温泉 ホテル浦島 / 温泉好きなら一生に一度は行くべき大洞窟温泉、忘帰洞! / なぎさ館に宿泊【アラフォー夫婦二人旅】
Wakayama Nachikatsuura Onsen Hotel Urashima Hello! This is Hozuki. This time’s travelogue is… Wakayama trip (3 days and 2 nights)! This time we will introduce "Nachi Katsuura Onsen Hotel Urashima"! This hotel, Urashima, is famous for its large cavernous hot springs and “Boki Cave, " which “makes you forget to go home." The sulfur spring that flows directly from the source while looking at the Pacific Ocean from a natural cave was amazing! There are 6 types of hot springs in total (one is limited to Sanjokan) and it’s big enough to hold a hot spring stamp rally! It’s a super huge hotel that’s 10 times bigger than you imagined, and there’s even a shrine on the premises! There are also many other attractions such as an escalator with a total length of 154m and an observation deck. This time, I took advantage of the prefectural discount and was able to stay for 12,500 yen per person! If you like hot springs, I think you should visit this hot spring at least once in your life! Thank you for your continued support this time! First, I went to Kushimoto Katsu Ochazuke Manguchi, a famous restaurant that was introduced to me by a person from Wakayama! This shop seems to be famous for its bonito chazuke, which even locals are satisfied with! As soon as I entered the store, I ordered bonito chazuke lol Kushimoto specialty: Katsu Ochazuke You can learn how to eat bonito chazuke. First, make half a bowl of bonito and make the second bowl of ochazuke! Bonito looks delicious. Let’s make a bowl right away! Follow the rules, add more than half of the rice, and top with the bonito! It already looks delicious… Sprinkle with seaweed and it’s done! It looks great! Now, let’s eat. The bonito itself is really delicious! This is the No. 1 bonito in history! This bonito bowl has no fishy smell at all and goes perfectly with the strong flavor of the sesame sauce! The second cup is Katsu Ochazuke! I have high expectations for this too! The rich sauce has become a little milder, making it easy to eat and delicious! It was the most delicious bonito I’ve ever had. I will definitely come to this store again! Thank you for the meal! Drive about 40 minutes from Kushimoto, Arrived at Hotel Urashima’s parking lot. Take this bus to the hotel! You can also be dropped off at the sightseeing pier and take a turtle shuttle boat to your hotel! It was raining this time, so I took the bus… too bad. We traveled by bus, but the journey was really fun! It’s fun to go through many tunnels and feel like you’re infiltrating a secret base! The infiltration tour to the secret base ended in about 10 minutes… Hotel Urashima, we have arrived at the main building! Hotel Urashima is located in Nachikatsuura Town, Wakayama Prefecture. It takes about 3 hours and 40 minutes by car or train from Osaka, and about 1 hour and 40 minutes from Shirahama Airport. Hotel Urashima is located on an extremely large site. Almost all of this peninsula is the site of his Hotel Urashima! It seems that the area is about 4.5 times the size of Tokyo Dome! The plan we chose this time was "a room with a sea view at Nagisakan/Nisshokan". In the end, we ended up staying at Nagisakan, which overlooks the Katsuura Port side! After checking in at the main building, follow this blue line to the Nagisa building. Wow. It’s such a long distance… This hotel is really spacious. The time required from the main building to the Nagisa building is about 2 minutes if you walk quickly! It’s good exercise lol And I still have to walk from the lobby lol The game corner is located on the path to Nagisakan. At night, everyone from families to college students had a great time! This time it was a room on the 6th floor of Nagisa Building. There’s something about the elevator in the atrium that I like. The hallway is bright and carpeted, making it look like a long-established hotel! It was about a 4 minute walk from the main building to the room… Now let’s move in! Nagisakan Standard Japanese Room It’s quite spacious! Especially the wide edge seems to be very easy to use! This might be a space prepared for drinking in the room… Since it’s a seaside hotel, we decided to have a view! You can see Katsuura fishing port! The weather is a bit cloudy, or rather it looks like it’s going to rain… Let me introduce you to the room again. There is a large full-length mirror. Retro. There is a refrigerator next to it. The size is compact. The glass is cold! Next to the refrigerator is a pot and a safe. We have two bottles of Kumano Kodo water! thank you. There is a set of yukata and towels in the closet. There was also a bamboo basket for when you go to the hot springs! The TV is in a strange position lol. It’s about a 26-inch TV, so it’s a little small. Around 40 trying to open the door lol There are tea sweets on the desk. Wakayama tuna rice crackers, Gaufre sandwich with orange cream, Boki-do Monogatari. Both were delicious. There was also a tea set. There is also a closet on the entrance side. There is a futon in here. The futon will be laid out between you and your meal! The air conditioning is air conditioned throughout the building, and unfortunately only the air volume can be adjusted… Next, I will introduce the water area. Amenities such as toothbrushes and combs were provided. The dryer is a wall-mounted type. Please note that the airflow is weak. And this is the bath. It’s a little narrow. ♪There are various hot springs, so I didn’t use them. Next is the toilet. It had been beautifully renovated. There was a washlet and paper towels in the hand washing area. Since the map is too large, I had a strategy meeting with my partner. I would like to go to the shrine now that the rain has stopped! Pass through the main building, take the 154m long space walker to Sanjokan, and head to the shrine. There are a lot of clouds, but good luck with the weather! Walk for about 4 minutes to the main building. Come to think of it, I didn’t look at the front door. If you come by shuttle boat, you will arrive here! (If you come by bus, you will enter from the back side) When you turn right at the main entrance, you will find Sanjokan, Space Walker, and Hoenzan Amusement Park. Now, it’s time for the Space Walker, an escalator with a total length of 154m! Throb. What is this? I can’t see what’s ahead! The difference in height is 77m through four escalators. It is said to be the escalator with the highest height difference in Japan! On the wall next to it are photos of famous places in Wakayama. The total time required is 5 minutes and 45 seconds. Next is the second one! When you get off the second train, there is an observation deck. It looks like you can see the Kumano Sea! And the third one! When you get off the third train, go straight and you will reach Sanjokan, and if you turn right, you will reach Ouenzan Amusement Park (shrine, etc.). We will head to Ouenzan Amusement Park, where Urashima Inari Shrine is located. It’s a nice road, and the scenery along the way is quite nice, as you can see the ocean. First, we came to the Pacific Ocean Observation Deck, where we could see the Pacific Ocean side. On the other side, there is an observation deck that overlooks Katsuura Port. After a short walk from the observation deck, you will see Urashima Inari Shrine. The fact that there is a shrine on the grounds of the hotel is amazing! Well then, please excuse me (pecoli) It’s a shrine so large that you forget it’s inside a hotel. Excuse me (pecoli) I prayed to Inari for a safe trip and good health. Return to the building leading to Sanjokan again… Ride the last space walker. The last one is a little short. At the top of the mountain is the observation deck of Sanjokan. I could see Katsuura Port clearly. You can take the elevator back from Sanjokan, but the Sanjokan front desk is on the 32nd floor! Space Walker is amazing! Next, we will head to the long-awaited Boki Cave! It’s located close to the Sanjokan and the main building. We arrived at the large cave hot spring, Boki Cave. I wanted to come here! Boki Cave has his two shifts from 5:00 to 10:00/13:00 to 23:00. Please note that you cannot enter late at night. This is the view when you go inside! I’m really looking forward to the large cave bath! Boki-do Cave was built during the Taisho period when Lord Tokugawa Yorimichi of the Kishu Tokugawa family visited. It is said that the hot spring was named after the fact that it is “so soothing that you forget to go home." The spring quality is sulfur/sodium/calcium/chloride spring, and it is a wild hot spring with the scent of sulfur and the ocean. Although the smell was wild, the hot water was gentle and made my skin smooth! Anyway, the large cave is amazing, and even the washing area is inside the cave, so this is my first hot spring experience. It was fun to watch the cave while listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. Bokido Onsen is definitely a hot spring that you should visit at least once in your life! I took the opportunity to participate in the hot spring stamp rally. If you collect 3 or more, you will receive a hot spring element! Next, we headed to another cave hot spring, Genbudo Cave. Genbudo Cave is located at the back of Nisshokan. On the way from Boki-do to Genbudo-do, you can also visit Hamayu-no-yu, Taki-no-yu, and Iso-no-yu. This is Hamayu no Yu. After checking in, there is a men’s bath, and in the morning there is a women’s bath. Hamayu no Yu is the closest hot spring from the main building, and although it is a bit compact, it is a nice hot spring. I got my second stamp! This is Taki no Yu. After checking in, there is a women’s bath, and in the morning there is a men’s bath. Taki-no-yu was a wonderful hot spring with hot water flowing like a waterfall on the rock surface of the outdoor bath. There is a Lawson next to Taki no Yu. Convenient for buying ice and other small items! Hamayu no Yu and Taki no Yu are in the main building, but Iso no Yu and Genbudo are at Nisshokan, so I have to move again lol This is Iso no Yu at Nisshokan. Iso no Yu is said to be the most effective hot spring at Hotel Urashima, where the water sways with the waves outside. This is the path to Genbudo Cave. ♪The entrance was omitted as there were other customers. Genbudo Cave, like Boki Cave, is also a cave hot spring created by nature. This hot spring is closer to the sea than Boki Cave, and you can feel the sound of the waves even closer. Unlike Boki Cave, this hot spring has a lower ceiling, giving it an even more cave-like feel. Since Genbudo Cave faces east, it is a hot spring where you can see the morning sun beautifully! I found out about it after I got home, so I wanted to go in in the morning (an excuse to go again) This hot spring was just as wonderful as Boki Cave! I also got 4 types of stamps! As expected, I spent too much time in the hot spring… I returned to my room and had a drink after bathing. My throat is dry! This needs to be moisturized! Cheers! Phew, come back to life! The ocean view is also wonderful! The shuttle ship just arrived at the port. I’d like to ride it next time I’m here. During a break··· The time is 18:30. Today’s Dinner Time! The venue is "Evergreen" on the 4th floor of Nagisakan. The seats were non-reserved, so I chose a seat overlooking the courtyard. Put on your gloves and let’s go! First up is the salad. There are shredded cabbage and cherry tomatoes. And there was cauliflower, seaweed. Cauliflower alone is rare. This is a continuation of the salad corner. First, we had the vermicelli salad and marinated octopus. And then there’s chashu and edamame. Is there a snack corner? Next is the sushi corner. This sushi has 3 types randomly placed on it. 3 random selections from tuna, shrimp, squid, salmon, conger eel, and saury. troublesome. Next is fried food. First of all, everyone loves fried chicken. Next was the Wakayama-style tuna minced meat cutlet. There was a nice fried shrimp. Of course there’s tartar sauce too. And next door is roast beef. Luxurious. Next, go to the hot corner. First up is fisherman’s soup. And next door is Yakisoba… There was braised pork and stewed vegetables. Braised braised pork, egg, bamboo shoots, butterbur, and daikon radish. looks delicious. This is the live kitchen corner. I had mushrooms and seafood grilled with butter. Live kitchen continues. First up is the tempura corner. This is squid tempura. Next was sweet potato and green tang tempura, followed by shrimp tempura. Freshly fried food is provided. And here comes the sashimi corner. First of all, raw whitebait, I had salmon. As someone who was a bear in my previous life, I’m really happy lol The last piece of sashimi is tuna that is unique to Wakayama! This looks like yellowfin tuna. Next is the hot corner. First, there was mapo tofu. Next is seafood gratin. Oh, it’s new. Lastly, the beef stew in red wine. The beef was gooey! Last is the rice corner. Lots of pickles. Since we had sushi, we skipped the rice… we had Wakayama ramen. Let’s eat later. And then there’s Urashima Curry. I wonder if I can make it to the curry… And the last dish was seafood Chinese shumai. Hozuki’s Choice ~If you look closely, it’s mostly seafood~ For sushi, choose tuna, salmon, or squid! For sashimi, choose tuna, salmon, and raw whitebait. We also chose tuna minced meat, which is typical of Wakayama. Tartar looks delicious. Try the butter-grilled mushrooms and seafood. The shrimp tempura that is sticking out also looks delicious. This is how I eat it for the first time! After the veggie first, let’s start with raw shirasu! This is delicious! A melt-in-the-mouth texture! Wakayama is also famous for its raw whitebait. Next is raw yellowfin tuna. Top with wasabi and enjoy! Raw tuna is delicious! Tuna from Wakayama is definitely delicious. And it’s delicious no matter where you eat it, it’s salmon that you want to eat anywhere lol Yes, it’s delicious. Salmon is fatty and delicious! Satisfied with the salmon. The butter-grilled seafood and minced tuna were also delicious! First time, it’s over! Urashima-san, the food is delicious too. Let’s replace it. Hozuki’s Choice ~Delicious food and newcomers~ This is roast beef. The pink meat is wonderful. Other newcomers are seafood gratin and shumai! I would like to try the delicious sashimi and go there a second time! First up is the seafood gratin. It’s delicious with plenty of shrimp and scallops! The roast beef was lean meat and he was the meaty type! The seafood buffet at Hotel Urashima is delicious! I think it’s time to head over to Shime! Finally, I tried the forbidden ramen… The ramen from Vikings these days is delicious, isn’t it? Since you came all the way to Wakayama, let’s try some Wakayama ramen! Hozuki’s Choice ~Finish with soup~ Lastly, I would like to finish it off with fisherman’s soup and Wakayama ramen! I would like to try this as well as many other things! (I took tuna, salmon, and whitebait every time) First up is fisherman’s soup. Salmon is delicious. The soup stock was very gentle! Next is Wakayama Ramen. A slightly darker ramen with pork bone soy sauce. It was perfect for my tired body, and I was able to squeeze it hard at the end! The mapo tofu and beef stew in red wine were also delicious! I ate a lot today too… (Maybe I ate a little too much) Now, let’s finish with dessert! (Are you still eating?) At the dessert corner, he had sesame dumplings and ohagi… There was lychee. There are also apples and oranges. We also have fresh cream puffs and soy milk tofu. And rare chocolate cake, I had a double berry cake! Hozuki’s Choice ~A little dessert~ The cakes were delicious as usual. Sometimes I feel like eating… Are cream puffs and soy milk tofu normal? I am full! ♪It may be a different dish outside of Nagisakan. Well, I think I’ll have a drink in my room for the last time. Thank you for the meal! When I returned to the room, it was completely dark. The night view of Katsuura Port is beautiful… The sea at night is scary but mysterious, and I quite like seeing it at night. Today’s drink is Black Nikka Highball, and the sweetness is Kagero Ice Cream (¥250) that I bought at the store! Today was another good day. Well then, Kanpai. It’s interesting that Kagero, a famous confectionery from Wakayama, has ice cream in it… Hmm, it comes with 2 pieces. Individually wrapped? It seems that there is cream in it that is not ice cream. On this trip, I enjoyed fresh kagero and ice cream kagero. My partner gave me a bite to eat lol It looks delicious! Well then, let’s have it! Yes, it’s mysteriously creamy and delicious! A sweet cream that goes well with the fluffy Busse dough, making it the perfect cold sweet for summer! It was a sweet that goes well with whiskey! But after this, I felt unwell and down… It was delicious, but I think I ate too much. So I couldn’t take a bath at night. I was looking forward to the cave bath at night… but… I have no choice but to go to bed… good night. A little revival! I’m going to take a bath in the morning! It is an amazing 350m from Nagisakan to Boki Cave! When I measured it, it took about 6 minutes. Therefore, if you want to enjoy hot springs, If you stay at the main building or Sanjokan, you will be close to Boki Cave. It looks like it would be a good idea to stay there. I said to the front desk, “You must be tired after taking a hot spring." What you said was impressive. It’s so vast that many people find it tiring to move around. So, it was on the way to Boki Cave! Boki Cave is open for men and women at night and in the morning, so you can enter a different cave than you did the day before. I thought it would be a little different, but when I went on the other side, it was a completely different cave! Please come and experience both days! I fell in love with the hot springs at Hotel Urashima lol After the morning bath, it’s time for breakfast! The venue is the same as last night, Evergreen on the 3rd floor. Secure the same location as yesterday and let’s start! However, I’m still not feeling well today… so I’d like to go modestly. First, grated radish and kettle-fried whitebait. This looks good for your stomach too! Next is kamaboko and red kidney beans. Kamaboko at hot spring inns is delicious, isn’t it? Next up was Karashi Mentaiko (not available), miso stewed eggplant, and simmered hijiki. Lastly, we had spicy konnyaku and koya tofu. The salad corner is a little small. Onions, tuna, and broccoli It was corn, cherry tomatoes, and cabbage. Next is the hot corner. First up is takoyaki. Next is bacon, And it was a wiener! Next is the cold chicken, There are grilled salmon and salt-grilled mackerel. The last one is grilled kibinago. This is my first time seeing this. Next is the Western food corner. There was egg salad and cheese bread. Next was the croissant. The croissants at the hotel are delicious. Lastly, donuts and mini breads. And this is the hot corner. First of all, it’s Chikuzenni. Speaking of hot spring inns, this is also his standard dashimaki tamago. The last dish in the hot corner was meat and potatoes, a staple of Japanese cuisine. From here is the rice corner. With rice accompaniments such as pickles… There is porridge and rice, There was also miso soup. There was also Urashima curry (I wanted to try it but couldn’t…), seaweed and natto! Hozuki’s Choice ~ Something that is gentle on the stomach ~ This time, I chose something that seemed to be good for digestion. So, this time I will just introduce it. Thank you for the meal! Well, I’m sorry to leave you with this, but let’s check out! It was a truly amazing hot spring inn! After receiving the hot spring stamp rally prize bath salts, we headed to the shuttle bus stop for the parking lot! Hotel Urashima was a truly amazing hot spring that overwhelmed me with its amazing scale! Thank you, Hotel Urashima! The fun trip to Wakayama has finally come to an end. It was the best! I was able to stay at Hotel Urashima for 13,700 yen per person using the prefectural discount! Finally, I used a prefectural discount coupon (4000 yen) at Toretore Market, which I visited yesterday! Now, let’s introduce the loot and announce the cost! I took the opportunity to buy local sea bream, bluefin tuna, and delicious bonito! I also bought two types of Yuasa soy sauce, and some pickled plums! (All coupons) We also have 4,000 yen worth of souvenirs, which is an incredible deal considering you can stay at that hot spring! Hotel Urashima is a hotel that you should visit at least once if you like hot springs! Boki Cave and Genbudo Cave were both fantastic, and I want you to experience those wild hot springs! I hope to introduce another place next time. Thank you for your comments and likes. (It’s encouraging!) Thank you for your viewing!
