Natto (納豆) is a traditional Japanese food made from soybeans fermented with Bacillus subtilis. It is popular especially as a breakfast food. As a rich source of protein and good bacteria, nattō and the soybean paste miso formed a vital source of nutrition in feudal Japan. @vinidivici cook spaghetti according to package directions,
while noodles are cooking, mix 2 packages of natto together, then mix into 4-5 egg yolks. drain pasta well and mix with the natto/egg yolks. top with scallions, soy sauce, and seaweed if you wish.
Not sure if the portions are right, this is all by eyeing it (the portions arent written in japanese either)

@sugarnspice2k1 it's complicated to explain… if i try, somewhat cheesy or chicken. But smells like soybeans gone bad lol XD…. believe me natto is not 4 everyone, i mean d taste… so def try out is it 4 u or not 🙂 but it's really good 4 ur health!

I absolutely adore Japanese food and would eat it morning, noon and night but natto is where my tastebuds stop working…..(!) – good idea for a recipe though – perhaps replace with other beans…? 😀

i think this is a really ingenious form of fusion. taking japanese natto as the flavour component to replace parmesan or romano cheese in the traditional italian carbonara
