Hello, today I’m having Japanese-style mentaiko pasta. I saw some delicious-looking mentaiko pasta in the frozen food section, so I bought it. 🎶 It’s topped with shiso leaves, seaweed, and mentaiko. The mentaiko is frozen, so I microwaved it a little, and it looks almost like cod roe, lol. It’s spicy and delicious! It says BIG, so I thought it would be a fairly large portion, but I missed the “single serving” part. lol. I eat mentaiko cream pasta all the time, but it’s been a while since I’ve had regular mentaiko pasta without cream! I tried it with the almost cod roe topping. It’s spicy and delicious! Shiso leaves on mentaiko pasta are so tasty! I’ve always disliked shiso leaves, but I love them as a topping on pasta or on top of negitoro rice bowls. Eating them with shiso leaves makes it so refreshing. The frozen pasta was so delicious, I want to buy different types of pasta and try them again ! Since it’s Japanese-style, the flavor is quite strong! After eating mentaiko pasta, I also wanted to eat mentaiko cream pasta. I love frozen foods, so my freezer is full to the brim. I like rich pasta like cream pasta, but I also surprisingly like dry pasta like this. Sometimes I just get a sudden craving for it. I want to add a soft-boiled egg in here. It’s so dry that it doesn’t stick to the fork and I can’t roll it up properly. I wonder if it would have been better to eat it with chopsticks .
