Onion Rolls 🧅
2 large yellow onions (boiled ~4 mins)
Onion Mixture:
2 tbs olive oil 🫒
½ cup chopped onions (use the inner layers of boiled onions)
4 garlic cloves, chopped🧄
½ lb ground beef
2 tbs tomato paste 🍅
⅓ cup rice
⅓ cup pine nuts
¼ cup golden raisins
⅓ cup finely chopped mint leaves
⅓ cup finely chopped dill
⅓ cup finely chopped cilantro
2 tbs pomegranate molasses
1 tbs salt🧂
½ tbs pepper
½ tbs smoked paprika
Simmering Sauce:
2 small tomatoes, grated 🍅
1 cup reserved onion broth
¼ cup olive oil
¼ cup date syrup
¼ cup pomegranate molasses
⏲️ cook rolled onions covered in oven at 350°F for ~45mins.
