#washoku #japanesefoods #bambooshoot

Takenoko or bamboo shoot is one of the most popular spring foods in Japan. Takenoko is picked when the tips stick out from the soil.
The time to eat takenoko is really short because bamboo grows really fast.
For this reason, fresh takenoko is really precious.
Bamboo shoot is delicious when it’s fried. It goes well with sake. Takenoko is rich in potassium which lowers the blood pressure and dietary fiber, which improves the intestinal environment. As a result, you can have a cup of sake with this healthy dish.
