【滋賀旅】家族で行く滋賀のグランピングが最高でした｜ゆるりと巡る、大人の滋賀旅

Please enable subtitles in the video settings. One sunny July day, my family of three went on a trip to Shiga Prefecture! Our first destination was Hikone Station in Shiga Prefecture. On the way to our hotel, we wanted to stop by a shop, so we went. We visited MICRO-LADY COFFEE STAND, a coffee stand directly connected to Hikone Station! The interior has a chic atmosphere. They roast their own coffee, and their large roaster is beautiful. We bought two types of Ethiopian coffee: a light roast and a dark roast. I usually prefer dark roasts, but light roasts are nice on a hot summer day. ☺️ With a delicious coffee to boot, we resumed driving. We saw signs for the glamping site where we’d be staying. We’d come all the way to Grand Element in Maibara City! It’s a glamping site so popular it’s hard to get reservations. The entrance was stylish! Drinks in the lobby were all-you-can-drink. ☺️ First, let’s drop off our luggage and relax! This glamping site is a former golf course, featuring a beautiful lawn and a large pond. The sunlight reflecting off the pond is dazzling. ☺️ Here’s the cabin where we stayed! It has a beautiful wooden deck, where we can enjoy dinner and breakfast. Here’s the guest room! It’s incredibly spacious!!! And cool… Since we’re staying with our child, we booked the “Baby Plan.” This Baby Plan was truly amazing, so I’ll take a moment to introduce it. First of all, congratulations on your long journey ! The room even has a microwave, and it’s a Balmuda brand! Gran Element is all-inclusive! Drinks from the refrigerator are also free. ☺️ Oh, they even have beer! That’s great! Enjoying a beer in a cool room while overlooking the lawn! How wonderful! Let’s take a look at the bathroom. The Baby Plan includes a baby bottle sterilizer and formula pods! Formula, baby food, and baby juice are also available. 😍 It’s so convenient because it means less luggage. The baby food provided is from Hatake no Mikata, a brand in Konan City, Shiga Prefecture. The products are made with local Shiga ingredients and are focused on the natural flavor and nutritional balance of the ingredients. I even let them know my diaper size in advance. ☺️ They even provided a baby bottle brush! It was also helpful that they provided plenty of fluffy bath towels. Our cabin even had a shower and bathtub. It was like a luxury hotel, with baby body soap and toys! It was so complete I didn’t want to leave. Next, we headed to the lobby, where we enjoyed complimentary juice and coffee. They also had merchandise like the staff aprons. Even better, they had all-you-can -eat Cremia soft serve ice cream! The rich milk flavor melted in my mouth! It was so delicious! 🥹 This is the bar that opens at night. ☺️ I’m looking forward to it. There are restrooms and 24-hour showers. Some cabins don’t have baths, so you can take a bath here. The lounge space. Order a drink at the bar and relax here. There’s also plenty to do, like puttingt-putting golf, canoeing, and a nearby park! When we returned to our cabin, dinner preparations had already begun. ☺️ The concierge took care of all the preparations. ✨ The meat was so tender and delicious! For the appetizer, we had chicken galantine, a tomato and mozzarella caprese with balsamic sauce. Both dishes were perfect with alcohol! The salmon escabeche was refreshing with lemon. It’s the perfect dish for early summer. And here it is: corn ajillo! The corn flavor infused into the oil is absolutely delicious! Dip bread in it and eat it! The duck loin and fig salad was topped with plenty of cheese. It was a salad that went perfectly with alcohol. 🤤 We set the timer for the paella, put it on the stove, and waited patiently for it to finish. The beer just kept flowing. 😍 The paella is ready! 😍 It looks delicious! And we also made this ☺️ White fish and molokheiya aquapazza. It’s packed with the flavor of white fish and shellfish. Truly delicious. It’s delicious and the portion is just right. For dessert, we had mango milk pudding. I was very satisfied. Thank you for the meal! The sun was setting and it was getting dark. It was cooler, so we decided to go canoeing! 🛶 It’s been a while since I last went canoeing! It was so much fun! It was dusk. It was a time that was neither day nor night. It had a nostalgic atmosphere. A bonfire had been prepared. 🔥 The flickering flames. It was so beautiful… It was completely dark. The illuminated building was so pretty. The bar is open from 7pm, so we stopped by. You can enjoy a drink while playing board games in the lounge. 🍸 Looking at the menu, there was an incredible variety! Most of the items can be taken back to your room, so you can enjoy them in the coolness of your room. Of course, you can order cocktails too☺️It ‘s great that this is all-inclusive😍You can even roast marshmallows over the bonfire! The fluffy marshmallows sandwiched between crackers were amazing. Wow, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was such a luxurious time☺️I fell asleep tipsy. Good night😴Day 2 of my Shiga trip. I slept so comfortably! The bed was fluffy! When I woke up, breakfast was ready😍There was a choice of Japanese or Western food, so I ordered one of each. Freshly cooked Omi rice. So delicious! The side dishes were beautifully arranged! I couldn’t decide which one to start with😍It was so colorful, and each one was delicious! Japanese food is definitely the winner… Breakfast on the terrace while enjoying the cool morning breeze. It was amazing. The salmon baked in foil was also done. Miso soup with lots of vegetables. The perfect way to wake up! This is the quiche from the Western menu. It has such a nice crispy texture. It pairs perfectly with bread. The salad was packed with vegetables. The homemade onion dressing was delicious! It had a refreshing, slightly tangy flavor. I’d love to eat it at home too. The three kinds of bread of the day were also reheated and served piping hot. The Western food was delicious, too. Personally, Japanese food is probably the best. I’ll never forget the freshly cooked rice. 😂 I didn’t play putt-putt golf this time due to time constraints, but the greens were beautiful, and I think it’s a great place for golf lovers! I was very satisfied with everything from the food to the service and activities. I definitely want to visit again. 🥹 I relaxed until the last minute before checkout and then headed to Hikone. I went to Club Harie near Hikone Castle. Their signature dish is Baumkuchen. I almost always buy some when I visit Shiga. I love the beautiful architecture of this store! After buying souvenirs, I headed to the nearby shopping district. I stopped by a shop I’d been interested in. The first place we visited was a wonderful Japanese and Western confectionery shop. Apparently it’s a long-established shop that was founded 72 years ago. There was a wide selection of intriguing sweets! Which one should I get…?🤔 They say they carefully handcraft their sweets using seasonal fruits and natural ingredients without any preservatives. I saw some delicious looking Dorayaki so I decided to buy that ☺️ We went to Andan, a shop located next to Kashin Osuga! Opened in 2013 by the owner of “Kashin Oosuga,” this complex shop combines a Western-style pastry shop, bookstore, and exhibition room. They have a wide selection of delicious Western-style pastries! I bought a scone and apple pie, and they were absolutely delicious! The bookstore in the back was also really lovely. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by! 😍 It was past noon. We stopped by this restaurant for lunch! “Hokkoriya” serves chicken dishes made with Hinai Jidori chicken. Their oyakodon (chicken and egg bowl) is absolutely delicious! 🥹 Made with plenty of fresh eggs, the fluffy oyakodon is the best. From our seats at the counter, it’s fun to watch them being made. We ordered a greedy set meal that included an oyakodon and chicken ramen! My wife simply ordered the oyakodon. Look at this beauty! The moment we opened the lid, the delicious aroma of the broth hit us… The combination of the fluffy eggs and the chewy Hinai Jidori chicken was absolutely delicious. The chicken ramen had a light soup and was delicious, and it came with a salad, so I was already full. ☺️ Now that I’m full, it’s early, but I want to head back to Wakayama.
