TACOS AL PASTOR MEXICAN STYLE MARINADED PORK WITH PINEAPPLE FOR STREET TACOS
hello and welcome today I’m gonna be showing you how the grizzly and I grill our tacos for tacos al pastor because there’s one thing about these tacos is that yes we can do it on our pan and I’ve showed you several ways on how to do that I’ll link those videos in the description on how to grow your meats on your pan but for this one with the flavor that we want for these tacos we’re gonna be grilling it outside and let me tell you it’s gonna be epic because I’m gonna show you guys how to make a salsa and in the description area I’m gonna leave two videos that are super easy for you on how to make corn tortillas or easy flour tortillas so I’m so excited I am very very hungry we talked about when I eat tacos I eat so I’m hungry almost our cookie well you see here is a pork but hey you know it’s gonna be good so what I do I get a huge pork butt and I put it in the freezer for about 2-3 hours it makes the slice eat a lot thinner and a lot easier and that’s what I usually use I use a little bit of if you want to come a little bit closer we get this what does it pork belly at our Korean market so I use a few of those slices in here and this is how I start the blend for my pork and if you want to make this with pork pork chops you can marinate those just your best piece and slice of pork would work for this marinade don’t overthink it make it comfortable for your home you know if you’re good friends with your butcher then just have them slice your pork really thin like this if you don’t want to slice it the way that I am and as I said that I really don’t have a butcher I am like 2019 but I will live in a town where I get to go and meet my butcher one day it’s gonna be that serious take it straight through if you have some pieces that I just have way too much fat like this these are the pieces where i grill it a little bit differently so that fat pours on the rest of the meats but I don’t dispose of it I keep it in a particular part of the grill you guys will see so just continue getting your slices and if you already have them all sliced up you don’t have to worry about this step you know cloud and I are really sad right now because I was you know going like this and I don’t even have a food baby you guys it would be nice and right about now I had a food baby you know we don’t got any of that going on we got to wait we still got to wait a longer time yes so I’m gonna start pouring my marinade and if you guys have OCD I love you guys but you guys get worked up over things that I do I am gonna put my hands in here I am gonna put all my love into this part of it okay that’s on it so bad ignore me so there are no gloves here they all end up in the waste field yes we’d rather get our hands dirty and then wash them again dirty wash them get are gonna wash them yeah idea yep you know we we we like soap take showers we like to wash our hands so you want to make sure you massage that well okay the point here is to coat all of our pork and if mine looks a little bit pink it’s because it’s beautiful okay yeah it does stay but just pick something you’re comfortable with you guys they were gonna come do your hands in here I go you don’t know you don’t know no it smells lovely oh it’s great girl you’re gonna be eating in no time coz your fish is pretty much ready you’ve had me feeling all these I’m so sure they’re gonna be like you don’t give her a break I’m just adding to the narrative most people thinking that you don’t take care of you okay friends what I’m gonna do now is I’m gonna go ahead and marinate this overnight minimum 12 hours for a great flavor 24 hours it gets even better you know it’s kind of like aging the older you get the better things go okay I pushed it so go ahead and make sure you completely cover it move it around to make sure that the marinade gets into all of your pork and then to the refrigerator it goes you thought a while I was gonna go straight to the grill no I’m gonna get all customer they know how to marinate honey all right guys hope you all see you guys tomorrow you know I’m only here with my jar and I run out of space so I’m gonna marinate the remaining in my jar and clouds about to puke what’s more you think of like a scientific driver what I just watched something last night that reminds me of Rami and I know you’re not interested mm-hmm well I don’t want to use another Ziploc I don’t want to use another container well this one’s I could just wipe it up really quick okay good okay I’m gonna take it out [Music] this won’t take like 20 minutes you asked me how to meet back without my store we’re about to girl oh yeah okay we promise not today so we’re gonna be really nice to each other because you know what happens when we have a girly obsession okay I have a whole pineapple I have some chopped onion or sliced onion and then we have our marinade that has been there overnight more than 12 hours I would say and we’re ready to grill okay we’re gonna be putting our pork down there right be very very mister how’s our method is there a method yeah now we just want to grill it so that way it gets that nice char flavor on there so once we get the char on this side then we move it over to the side where it continues to cook without the charring to burn your meat so and then once he lays them all flat we can put the pineapple on here we start moving it around you guys will get to see in a moment but we both love to grow what is it our dude he gives it a good flavor well you were testing me I’m like you already know this we like to our friends do you like that with a charm yeah you initial that flavor to seal in and then you get that good char Chris penis they usually get from the toggle set bus dog that’s on the pit is that one the spit what do you call that from 400 throw I don’t understand Spanish it’s a throne boy you slice it off but I mean to do it here it’s just so much work when I can just grill it get the charge move it to the side and get the job done all right Mitch this smell is probably gonna drive our neighbors crazy but we’ll start putting the pineapple over and maybe that around like to soften up and get the juices and the juices come on the pineapple yeah everybody needs one everybody needs a grandma and then what I do with the onion well I’ll show you guys what I do with the onions if you have the onions in here they’re gonna fall straight through you can probably add a few to give it a little bit of a flavor but I do them a little bit different what are you do to a pineapple all right just like that okay yeah you could probably move it over here a little bit forgetting all the little flavored secret pick this one out and reflect on it what are you checking for for that particular thing so now when he turns it over that’s going to start giving that charm then just move it to the side oh well that one’s really high now we got to move it quickly because you don’t need to start all of it just certain parts of it like you would get so I see that okay let me hold that for you [Music] you see that char so when you’re slicing them up on your cutting board for the taco you get a little bit of the chart you get the good thickness that you want once and Harvey like it good part of the growing Trotter right we’re all the kind of centers that but kind of like right here in the center and they want to eat that nice char on it disabilities are adding more of our what’s there even for bundling up their meat like that oh these are really thinly sliced no if it be careful it’ll slide straight through the grill and then because we did put some of the Korean pork belly that’s sliced thinly what are you doing this up at the other you had a wonderful my man links to girl in sandals but he forgot his Asian socks with it but that way your meat doesn’t fall through the grill and and you get like scattered pieces of char regular you get all the flavors in here that’s the whole point of it now wasn’t there a debate going on with you two about buying a fancier grill well we’ve been debating for a while what’s a while though but if the public loves to do and firing mine so many years you know people don’t may not get that Koreans are very stubborn as well as Mexican oh yeah you know what Mexicans can hold a grudge and write that kind of stuff and we really don’t and day to day but it’s all I’m passionate about the yeah it’s all good fun you’re generalizing good fun what you’re doing right now okay so I’ll let your handle that over there baby so the ones that are ready I like to keep the onions on the bottom and since it’s gonna be warm I’m gonna start layering it with the meats that are done and the heat from it it’s gonna start helping the heat from the onions hmm because I want a little better and I’ll put a little foil over it not tight but I want it to steam I just put it over it and it continues the heating process with the onions so depending on how hot your girl is it should take you about 10 15 minutes to maneuver your meat around your pork so that you can get that good crisp and that good delicious meatiness so as soon as some of these are done I’m gonna go inside and make us some tacos whoa I’m doing a facial do you kind of line it up like that’s like a actual throne pole on the grill like I’m rubber wheels the first time you have a couple done one over here babe Carano a season to me to click over there so if you guys see this piece I cut it a little bit thicker so you just want to put it where the heats not hitting a direct but it’s gonna continue the cooking process so that way it doesn’t get burnt with the direct heat but you’re still cooking down the side because it’s a thicker piece mori-san says oh I just want to know when was the first time he had thought that was 200 years ago a gazillion years ago that’s how she secured the bag she made in my bustle buckles I don’t think people realize how much people don’t know all our foodie whether they like rice for chicken people our foodie if you make it right oh yeah so that’s how you want them over babe one meal or what they’re gonna like she want me over with food all the juicer bar no the camera should keep a bump to send him the t-shirt but I wasn’t too sure until I witnessed that first a omelette that fork yo hmm you know I get asked a lot how do you know how to cook all these pieces I’ve been in my kitchen like you’ve been doing recipes with you guys I am only seven kitchen and it doesn’t always come from our mother or a grandmother it’s like inspiration strikes when it that’s right yeah because Roberts always sending me things that he wants to try an E or whatever you have somewhere and you know me I’m like I’m jealous a little bit I can make it better you know that I’ll say your mother had a similar story like that too with our father yeah to get it that’s awesome you both were determined me I’m like very much yeah I’m kidding I’m kidding when I loved hello you know it’s funny kind of deeply well like we say that if the smoke is following you I mean that you’re beautiful so the smokes always following me and then when I come out here with Robert it’s following him so we always put it all with that I don’t want on stage you guys but the smoke was literally well we knew a minute I’m really worried I’m looking going on here it was a nice char these are Roberts favorite right there so it’s gonna be up to you guys if you want to char it enough like the grizzly does well but we definitely have our steaks Pittsburgh style that’s our favorite style and yeah I’m gonna have been to a steak house where they didn’t know what that was yes plenty crazy yeah all right baby nice can you put the sign up on this I say we people whoa okay how many tacos can you eat of these you think I can eat like this teeth over your tongues are you gonna be your man homie get down I’m gonna say 20 plus yup I believe it I even say it’s good 30 probably easy stack them up now what size tacos are we talking about yeah all those yeah you want that’s one bite boom okay let me show them something here yeah mm-hmm so the pieces that I showed you that had the the pork fat I kept them in here and marinated them because these are so good to give it a blend with your taco once you chop it up really fine and you add this to your tacos all that smoke is following me girl it helps give it that fatness because you forget it got evil because what happens is you get the flavor from the fat when it’s dripping on the on the throne Pole mhm and I want to do that the same when I chop it up and Robert does he’s really good so all right I’m a little wet yeah excuse my pretty girl though she’s her barking so I notice you’re reeling the pinion not all places have the grill seen you fall for me I like the sweetness that the girl’s pineapple has and my whole family does but if you guys don’t like it you don’t have to do that you can just slice it up really thin and put it in here but I like to slice it up so that way I’m I’ll show you guys in just a moment how how we do it [Music] Trick or Treat in your element over here no we didn’t leave cloud out I have a chicken breast for her like everybody’s concerned about my mom I love how much they love you yeah I really do make me so happy you guys should be saying stop eating there’s gonna get word I mess it around don’t think I go on my detox to lose weight to gain weight yeah I looked at your board and I saw you’ve got something up I can’t wait mm-hmm we’re doing it who wants you gotta eat you gotta enjoy your food I guess people have been punishing too much that you don’t want to eat but there’s way of eating to stay healthy so you can enjoy the good fala days no more play hard yep you just don’t be stressed forgive yourself just like my sister doing right now yeah tacos I can’t wait I got my stretchy pants too girl yeah [Music] all right that’s pretty much how we grow I’m gonna go inside to get our son so started and it’s really hot for me out here I’m sweating so I’m gonna let you do the work me okay okay this salsa is super easy and a lot of the times I just don’t have video specifically for salsa because you guys are going to see them in my taco videos or of a certain recipe requires it because they’re that simple they don’t take that much of your time so the one that I’m going to be making tea today is gonna be avvocato if you’re allergic to avocado keep thank radiance out you can still make the salsa even if you’re allergic to your thumb I just keep them out and add the rest of the ingredients and blend them because that’s pretty much what’s gonna happen I have a huge bunch of cilantro you know how I feel about it it’s wonderful for our bodies my garlic’s apparently are from Texas I think cuz they are large ok big so it’s gonna depend up to you on how you like your garlic I have a little piece of white onion and you don’t want to overpower this particular salsa with too much onion so make sure it’s a little small piece I have two jalapenos and some lime juice you’re gonna need salt to taste but I’ll leave you guys the quantities that I used and the recommended salt that I used and then you guys can go from there so let’s go ahead and start blending okay you’re like what’s all that liquid well that liquid I had to add a little bit of water or else it kind of gets stuck so I’m gonna add my juiciest ingredients first dos tres what [Music] so now that I made some room I’m gonna start blending my other ingredients in here you guys know how I am with these things I overdo it one day I’m gonna learn to overfill yeah always over Philly so yes this sound sounds great for your burrito bowls chips everything so so good I just want to clarify that I’m not gonna blend the lemon the lemon delight just squeeze it in okay the lemon juice cuz I don’t know somebody’s gonna be like did you blend it no I just want to clarify oh yeah all right we’re ready to blend all right so the portions that I’m gonna give you is gonna give you about three cups of Southside I was able to fit two here so I’m gonna make it easy and this is how I usually assemble whenever we grill we have these little Mexican dishes that are super super easy for everybody to just come and top their taco however they want let me show you right here I have some chopped white onions with some cilantro and I showed you guys how to pickle your your purple onions you can do with any kind of onion that you do have like the white yellow or the purple and and then we have our Sun so we just made so with this delicious blend of marinade for the pie without soda you really don’t eat lettuce you don’t need anything else try like this first if you’ve never tried it and then when you want to start you know engaging with other flavors and combos go for it but I would say if you’ve never had these try and like this for the first time so what I’m gonna do now I’m gonna not make the yes today I’m gonna have my husband grill these in the warm em up on the grill and then we’re gonna assemble our taco all right these these are ready you know I can be at the ranch right now but I couldn’t do my wrench laughs right here you’re trying to get out of the grill marks on here yeah just slightly not too much cuz all right here at this world warm up way more than when we do it inside for all of you that don’t that can’t grill I know some apartments don’t let anybody grill don’t worry I got you guys check out two other videos that will show you how to grill indoors okay so get warmed up pretty quick we’re making a stuff for your man right there all these dudes gonna see the grill marks and you don’t want them to get too too stiff but you start seeing them dry out a little bit and that’s okay that gives you more of your of your flavor something that you take overview I can finish up inside and get ready I’ll give you a shout out to all our friends from what a lahar I wanna look at her my mom brought this lovely little Dorothy a gift for me you put yours off the Oz in there and keep them warm and it’s just so beautiful you know I like pink and flowers and I like stuff like this okay so once your your unfollowed me is ready we’re gonna start chopping it up okay and you can you can cut it if you like thicker ones do it think but for me and the babies I have to do them thin knife club yes I get asked a lot about it make sure you look in the description to the Amazon store that amis store for this knife and a few of the other knifes that I use because I haven’t been able to purchase so much it they or cross it through the border so this will works really good guys okay so I’m gonna cut this one a little bit thinner slices and smaller chunks for the babies and this knife really does does the work it really does and it sharpens as well it keeps and cleans easily and it’s like I should be the spokesperson for this knife apparently yeah I’ll just say because you guys always ask me about my nights either I’m being too extra or you guys really want it all right so you see how you get a little bit of the char you get the variety those pieces right there with the fat are the adults favorites no one gay right alright so I’m gonna just chop these up and then I’m gonna get started on here with my pineapple okay so you can just slice a bit of your Pina but if you guys ever have tacos up a store somewhere you know you never get enough pineapple the best part of making it when you’re at home is that you can get as much as you want oh I see why you slice it that way okay well when you slice it I usually go like this right mm-hmm I’ll just do a little bit more here show you guys and then you come at it with this angle so when you slice it you already have your little timid with this yeah if you don’t want to eat the core don’t but I love the core and then if you get pieces up that you just Boop since I have to put those big ones for the Grizzly you guys know why because it’s go big or go home for him shout out to all our friends from Texas you guys are spoiled with your shoutouts but you know you ded loved you are loved is that Texas pride if not you guys would really have it out for for the gravy he taught me well you guys one of these say Texas don’t call the cops so I’m just gonna continue to do this and then I’ll show your pieces of meat and the best part is that when you make it at home you don’t have to skimp out you load your taco you know pick your pieces of pineapple if you like a lot or a little okay and then we’re gonna come over here and put some of our onion cilantro blend you don’t always have to use a pickled onions but it’s definitely gonna be amazing Oh who wanted that me yep you really did cuz I 1-2 Chiles Pasillas
1 Box of Achiote (3.5 oz)
1 Bay Leaf
1 Tablespoon Mexican Oregano
1/2 Tablespoon Cimin
1 Teaspoon Salt
3-4 Garlic Cloves
1/2 Teaspoon Ginger Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon Clove Powder or 2 Cloves
10 Pepper Corns or 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
3/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar or White Vinegar
1 Cup Orange Juice
1 Can Pineapple juice or 3/4 Cup Pineapple Juice
Optional- Juice of chipotle or a Chipotle Pod
Protein Marinade Time Recommendation
Pork, Beef, and Chicken – Minimum 12- 24 Hrs

Tips
*If your Chiles are small use the larger quantity recommended
*If you run out of marinade you can add 1 cup of orange juice, 1 Can pineapple Juice, 1/4 Apple cider vinegar to your blend.
*I used marinade all marinade for 6 Pounds of Sliced Pork Butt and 3 Chicken Breast

Wow people are super uppity when it comes to how another person conducts themselves in their own home. It’s her home, her family, her life. We are merely guests in her kitchen for a limited amount of time and when she says. People need to start being grateful that we have someone who wants to share her recipes and time online, and if this is not what you are looking for then scootch right along…..
Side note:
The general public have no idea how the restaurant industry works if they think gloves = safe and sanitary. Besides, when you are getting ready to cook an item you don’t need to wear gloves…because you’re cooking it 🙄. As long as your food handling and cleaning practices at home are on point, you are good. If you have questionable standards/practices then gloves won’t save you from getting ill or making other people sick.

Yeah….great on the grill, much better! Beautiful hunk of pork you got there, even without a butcher. Can't cook with love unless you put your hands into the food and work it, baby! If people have issues with that, then they actually have issues with themselves. This is cooking at its best! Love that Kikkoman T-Shirt. OK Steph, WOW!! What an incredible recipe! I have to admit, after making the marinade and mixing the pork into it, I was really concerned. You mentioned the bitter flavor but I could smell the bitterness. After marinating for over 12 hours, I cooked it like a "GRIZZLY". OH MY!! This is a new family favorite.
