It’s Wee here Today, I’ve taken on a special challenge: creating a “Western-Style Osechi 7-Dish Platter” Perfect for New Year celebrations, these recipes are not only easy to make but also beautifully presented They’re sure to be a hit with your family and friends! Be sure to stick around until the end Let’s take a quick look at 1st dish! 1st dish: Colorful Meatloaf Let’s take a look at the ingredients. Yeah! First 400g minced beef and pork 8 pieces of long bacon Soft bread crumbs and milk Cheese, mixed cheese or your favorite type of cheese ok! And Onion, egg Bell pepper and paprika Boiled quail eggs we will use 9 here And the seasoning is Salt and pepper and nutmeg Yes! That’s all Look, this is magic. Ta-da onion We will use half. finely chop Soak the finely chopped onions in water for about 15 minutes to remove spiciness And finely chop the paprika and green peppers. Alright! Now the preparation is complete. Next, put all the ground meat into a bowl. Then add the chopped green peppers, paprika, and onion. Add about 5 tablespoons of bread crumbs. Next, add about 20 grams of cheese, mixed cheese. Add an egg Season with salt and pepper. After adding all the ingredients, gently mix them together with a rubber spatula. Once you’ve mixed it lightly with the spatula, Yeah sprinkle a bit of salt and pepper. Then, add two tablespoons of milk, and add nutmeg to your preferred amount. Okay, all the ingredients are in. From here, mix well until it becomes sticky. Alright, this is good. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 200 degrees for about 5 minutes. Next, spread out a cooking sheet and lay the bacon down, overlapping slightly. Leave about 3 cm open at the back, and spread the meat mixture N once you’ve spread the meat mixture nicely, place the quail eggs in a row in the center of the meat mixture. Alright, that’s good. Now, take the front of the cooking sheet and start rolling from the front. Then wrap it in the cooking sheet. Place it on the baking tray with the seam side down. This is good. Now let’s bake it! Bake at 200 degrees for about 30 minutes until cooked through. Okay, set to 200 degrees for 30 minutes? Let’s go! After baking for 30 minutes, poke it with a toothpick or skewer, and if clear juices come out, it’s a sign that it’s done. I didn’t film this part of the video, but for the sauce, you can mix ketchup and Worcestershire sauce, or if you like it spicy, adding mustard is also delicious. Look! It’s baked nicely, isn’t it? Since this is the first time I made it, it turned out surprisingly easy. Yes! Wrap the remaining meatloaf in plastic wrap and store it in the fridge, and when you want to eat it, just cut it and warm it up in the microwave. And that completes the first dish! 2nd Dish: we have Bell Pepper Tamagoyaki (Japanese Omelette) We will use 1/4 of an onion, 1/4 of a paprika, one green pepper, and three eggs along with salt, pepper, and kombu dashi. Crack the three eggs into a bowl, and season with kombu dashi, salt, and pepper. Stir the eggs with chopsticks to mix them well. Then add the onion, green pepper, and paprika, and mix everything together. Alright, that’s good! Let’s start cooking. I don’t have an omelet maker, so I’ll use a frying pan. First, add some oil. Pour the egg mixture into the pan in 4 or 5 batches using a ladle. Cook over medium-low heat. When it starts to become semi-cooked, fold the edges in with chopsticks and roll it from the front to the back. Leave the rolled omelet at the back, pour in 1/5 of the remaining egg mixture, and tilt the pan so the egg mixture spreads underneath the omelet. Yes! Once the egg is semi-cooked, fold in the edges and roll it from the back to the front this time. Then, move the omelet to the back of the pan. Repeat the same process about three more times, then remove from heat and cut into bite-sized pieces to finish. Hmm Alright! It’s done! Just cut it into bite-sized pieces, and it will be complete. Now, let’s add in a bento box. Next, we have Sliced Duck Breast with Orange Sauce Alright! The ingredients are one pack of duck breast, honey, orange juice, 3 cloves of garlic, rosemary, and lemon zest or orange zest. That’s it! Once the frying pan is heated, place the sliced duck breast directly on it and saute for about 2 to 3 minutes until it gets a nice color. In the meantime, season with salt and pepper. Once the duck breast slices are cooked, transfer them to a plate. Then, in the same frying pan where you cooked the duck, add garlic, rosemary, and orange juice. Once the orange juice starts to boil, add honey and simmer until it thickens. Adding the orange zest or lemon zest will enhance the aroma even more. Alright, it’s complete! Now, let’s pack it into the bento box. Yes! Once all the duck is plated, drizzle the orange sauce on top to finish. 4th Dish: Grilled Scallops with Lemon Garlic Butter Alright! The ingredients are one pack of scallops, butter, garlic, parsley, Italian parsley, and lemon. Season the scallops with salt and pepper. Then, finely chop the garlic. Stack the parsley and Italian parsley together and roughly chop them. Next, we’ll use half a lemon, cutting it in half for lemon juice. In a frying pan, add olive oil and cook the scallops for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until they are browned. Once cooked, transfer the scallops to a plate. In the same frying pan, melt one piece of butter. Once the butter is melted, add in the garlic and sauté until fragrant. Once it’s browned, add white wine and simmer for about 2 to 3 minutes. Then, continue to simmer by adding salt, lemon juice, and the remaining butter. Once the butter is melted, return the scallops to the frying pan and simmer further. Finally, top with Italian parsley to complete the dish. Alright! Let’s pack this into the bento box! Yes! The 4th dish is ready! 5th Dish: Prosciutto and Tomato Skewers Alright! The ingredients are one pack of prosciutto, mini tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella cheese. Cut 4 mini tomatoes in half. Then take the prosciutto, fold it in half, and wrap it around from the front. Yes! Like this. Skewer in the order of prosciutto, basil, mozzarella cheese, and mini tomato using a toothpick. The 5th dish is complete! 6th Dish: Smoked Salmon Summer Rolls The ingredients are lettuce, crab sticks, smoked salmon, rice paper, and sweet chili sauce. First, dip one sheet of rice paper in water or lukewarm water, then place it on a cutting board. Next, place the lettuce on top, followed by the crab sticks. Finally, add the smoked salmon and start rolling it up. Yes! Cut the rolled summer rolls in half with a knife, serve with chili sauce, and you’re all set! Alright, the 6th dish is complete! 7th Dish: Marinated Octopus and Tomatoes Alright! The ingredients are one pack of boiled octopus, approximately 80g. You will also need olive oil, white wine vinegar or regular vinegar salt, pepper, and finally, mustard. You can use your preferred type of mustard. Additionally, mini tomatoes are required. Yes! First, slice the octopus thinly. In a container (Tupperware), Then, and add 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of white wine vinegar or regular vinegar. Next, add half a tablespoon of mustard. Then, add salt and pepper and mix well. After mixing the sauce thoroughly, add the octopus and mix it together. If you like, add some coarsely ground black pepper for extra flavor. Cut all four mini tomatoes in half. Add the tomatoes to the container and mix them with the sauce. You can also add parsley if you like. Yes! That’s it. Mmm~ Mmm~ Delicious! And yes, the 7th dish is complete! Wow, it’s done! My impression of making this for the first time is that each dish was surprisingly simple and easy to prepare, but putting together all seven dishes did take some time. However, the sense of accomplishment and how festive everything looked once it was complete were truly special The Meatloaf and Japanese Omelette, in particular, were visually stunning and absolutely delicious!
