夫が会社を辞めました|30代夫婦の新しい生き方と選択|今後の私たちとお知らせ
Now that it’s May, the weather has become more comfortable. At the same time, it’s a season where many people settle into new environments. In our home, there’s also been a big change in our lifestyle. Today, I want to share that change with you. It’s been exactly four years since I started this channel. Looking back, so many things have changed. But among them, this time it’s a major change in our marriage. My husband quit his job. I know hearing that might make you worry, so let me start by saying—it was a positive decision. You might be wondering, “Why did he quit?” or “What will you do now?” To be honest, we really struggled. We weren’t sure whether or not to talk about this publicly. But since we share our daily life here, we didn’t want to hide the truth or pretend. It may be selfish, but we’d like to share the story with you. It all started quite a while ago… My husband was working at an IT company, just a typical office worker. He worked very hard at his previous job. He has a strong sense of responsibility, so after just a few years, he was promoted to a managerial role. That meant even more pressure and responsibilities. After some time, he started to speak less and looked down a lot. While eating dinner one evening, I asked why he seemed so low. He said, “Maybe this job isn’t the right fit for me…” He was struggling with the gap between his strengths and his role. He was really overwhelmed. After more than six months of thinking things over together, we decided he would leave his job, and we would work together on growing our brand, “BONUQUE.” Of course, running a business together as a couple isn’t easy. So we took our time and made a lot of preparations before he left his job, and he was able to leave on good terms. Thanks to his support, we were able to complete a new diffuser. We do feel nervous, but we want to explore a new way of life together. We had so many discussions before we came to this decision. Honestly, for a couple in their late 30s, it might seem reckless to choose an uncertain path. But I believe that, like a palette of colors, there are many ways to live, each with its own hue. And we want to keep searching for the color that feels right for us. And through this channel, if our efforts to take on new challenges can give someone courage, nothing would make us happier. He said “I want to see more people smile through our brand.” One reason he quit his job was that. When he helped out at a BONUQUE pop-up shop, he told me it made him want to see more happy faces. Maybe that wish reached someone, because we got wonderful news. We were invited to hold an ivent at “ne Quittez pas,” a brand I admire! Pop-up event! Their clothes are so beautiful they make you sigh with joy. I’ve loved this brand ever since I discovered it three years ago. I can’t believe BONUQUE will have a pop-up there… It still feels like I’m dreaming. And not only that— we’ll also be holding one in Osaka at the same time, with the new diffuser! I can’t believe our New Year’s goal is coming true so quickly. This is all thanks to you. Thank you for watching our videos and cheering us on. Truly, thank you from the bottom of my heart. The other day, a viewer who always supports us sent a message. “When my high school son lost his sense of purpose,” “I made the tomato chicken stew NIKO shared.” “Then he said, ‘It’s delicious! I want this for lunch, dinner, and tomorrow too!'” “I was so touched when he started to talk about the future again.” “Meeting NIKO brought light into my life.” That was the message. To think that my small activity could bring such a big change to someone— it brought tears to my eyes. Maybe I saw my husband in that boy who had lost his confidence. When someone is feeling down, what I can do is simple— Make good food and create things that bring joy. Doing it with someone special in mind, using my hands… To fill both the stomach and the heart. That’s how I want to continue creating. That message was a treasure, and it reminded me of my purpose. Today, we’re heading out to Omotesando. We’re having a meeting for the pop-up events in Aoyama and Osaka. I set the illustration inspired by the new fragrance as my phone wallpaper. With the new tote bag and charm, I’m ready to go! “ne Quittez pas” always lifts my spirits like a power spot. Their clothes are like magic that make you feel like the star of your life. Every detail in the store is filled with love, and just being there is healing. I still remember falling in love with their clothes online— I was so nervous, I walked past the store three times before going in. When I finally stepped inside, I was wrapped in pure excitement. And now, I get to place my own creations in that very shop. To the old me, who was too shy to even walk in—I want to say: “It takes time, but if you keep using your hands,” “you’ll get closer to the future you dreamed of.” “You might be crying and struggling now,” “but you’ll meet people who will support you.” That’s what I want to tell her. “So please, never give up.” “Please.” We want it to feel like a festival— a place where we can enjoy together and see everyone’s smiles. We’re preparing for the pop-up with joyful anticipation. On the way home, I stopped by Mister Donut by the station for a snack. A small reward after a hard day’s work. Let’s enjoy a little chat over tea together. Let’s eat! Let’s eat. This is the best donut ever. Nothing is better than this seasonal menu. Mmm! Mmm!! Mmm, so good! So, this time, we finally decided to tell the viewers that you quit your job, right? Yeah. But maybe… It might be better if you explain yourself why you quit your job. Everyone might be really worried. Well, um… I thought about it a lot, and in the end, I feel really satisfied. Yeah, yeah. For me, it was like— there was no other choice. But when I was at my old job, the work itself, and the projects were really amazing. Still, I just couldn’t shake the feeling that I wasn’t good enough. Like I wasn’t really contributing to what the customers needed. That part was really hard for me. I kept asking myself over and over, “Am I really meant to keep doing this job?” And at the same time, little by little, NIKO LIFE was growing, BONUQUE started, and I began to help out. Seeing the viewers— our roommates— being so happy, that really moved me. I had never felt that way before. Yeah. I didn’t know there was a job that could bring so much joy to so many people. I never expected that. It really pulled me in. I started thinking, “I wish I could do this kind of work.” And also, you were working so hard by yourself. I felt like maybe I needed to support you. Like maybe this is where I belong. That’s true. Like back when your old job was at its busiest— Yeah. You said that you feel busy but don’t sense your own sense of purpose. You looked really distressed at that time. Yeah, that’s right. I guess… I was kind of pushing myself too hard. You’ve always had a strong sense of responsibility. Yeah. I do tend to overthink things sometimes. But yeah, that was a tough time. Feels nostalgic now… Honestly, that time was a big turning point for me, too. I started seriously thinking, If I had succeeded in creating a brand with real potential, Yeah I really wanted you to quit your job and help me with my work. Yeah. But I also always thought— since it’s such a different industry— even though I wanted to help, I wasn’t sure if I could really be useful. So when I found out that you were thinking that way, it made me really happy! Yeah, yeah. It made me feel like, “Wow, I can do this!” Since I’m not good with numbers… Yeah, totally the opposite of me. I’m really not good at strict things like accounting and bookkeeping. Yeah, yeah. But you’re really good at that kind of thing! Yeah, I guess so. Our strengths are totally opposite. So yeah, in that sense, it actually worked out well. Yeah. Now that we’ve actually started working together, it kind of feels like the puzzle pieces are clicking into place. The balance feels pretty good, doesn’t it? I think so. Yeah So, I know this might’ve sounded like something that made our viewers worried… But as a couple, we spent over six months really talking things through, and in the end, we made this decision. We’ll do our best together with the brand for now. Of course, we won’t giving up. But if things don’t go well, then we’ll just stop and think again. Yeah. We’ll stay flexible. But no matter what happens— I won’t give up! Of course not! I’m with you all the way! So yeah… As long as we keep that mindset, I think we can move forward together, step by step. To those who were surprised— we’re really sorry! But we’re enjoying this journey! Yeah, really. Even our friends say stuff like, “You work together all the time?” “Is it really ok for you?” But strangely, we’re doing just fine. We’re fine. Yeah. Now more than ever, we understand what each other is doing. Before, I might’ve thought, “Why isn’t she doing the housework?” But now, that kind of thing doesn’t happen anymore. I just think, “Oh, she must be really busy right now.” So then I feel like I should step in and help instead. And the same goes the other way too. I think that’s one of the perks of working together. Yeah, definitely. Of course, not all couples are a good match for working together. It depends on each person’s personality. Yeah. But for us, since our strengths are so opposite, seeing what each other is doing has helped us keep a good balance at home, too. At least so far! Yeah, I think so. So maybe it was a bit of a surprising announcement, but as a couple, we want to move forward hand in hand. We’d be really happy if you’d cheer us on! Thanks so much! Also, as we mentioned in the main video, guess what? Yeah? We’re officially collaborating again with ne Quitterez pas! Starting May 17th, we’ll have pop-ups in both Tokyo and Osaka! Whoa—amazing! It really is! It feels like a dream. And remember at the start of the year, we talked about doing something in Kansai— and now it’s happening! It’s true! It all just came together so quickly, I was honestly surprised. Yeah ne Quittez pas is the brand of the clothes I’m actually wearing right now— a brand I truly, truly love. I’ve loved them for about three years now. Yeah. I’ve been wearing their clothes all the time. And I’ve been constantly, constantly sending out love to them. Like, sending signals… I’ve been sending them out for a while now. And now, unbelievably… we’ve been given the chance to do pop-up shops at their Aoyama store and Grand Green Osaka! This really happened because, during our very first pop-up, so many of our viewers actually went to ne Quittez pas. It’s all thanks to you guys. Honestly, it’s not even my signals that got through. It was your support— you were the ones who delivered our hopes. That really means everything to me… It’s making me tear up… Tissue, tissue! No, really… It’s amazing, isn’t it? Yeah. Thank you so much… Seriously, it’s incredible. Even the staff at ne Quittez pas said things like, “Customers often ask me, ‘Is this the outfit NIKO wore in the video?'” Thanks to all of our viewers. You became messengers, like carrier pigeons, who carried our feelings and dreams. That’s how this pop-up became a reality. So if you have the time, even just to drop by for a quick look, we’d be so happy if you could come. We’ll be at the Aoyama store on May 17 and 18, 2025 (11:00–17:00) both NIKO and I will be there in person. And the following week— it’s May 24 and 25! Yeah, May 24 and 25 (11:00–17:00), we’ll be at the ne Quittez pas store inside the Grand Green Osaka shopping center. We’ll both be there too, so please come see us! Yeah We just really want to say thank you to everyone. Definitely! Also… how do I say this… Their clothes can be a bit pricey— each piece is a bit of an investment. But to me, don’t leave clothes are, in one phrase: “Clothes that make you the star of your own life.” They’re the kind of clothes you can wear daily, but especially on days when you’re feeling a bit down— just throwing one on can lift your mood, and make a normal day feel like something truly special. So… when I first discovered ne Quittez pas’s clothes, the Aoyama store felt like “the dream store in Aoyama.” I wanted to go in, but I was so nervous, I just walked past it a couple of times. It wasn’t until the third time I passed by that I finally worked up the courage to go inside. And when I did, the staff were so warm and welcoming— they treated me so kindly. The very first piece I bought that day— I still treasure it and wear it with care. So I really hope this event becomes a special opportunity for people to experience what it’s like to wear a “special outfit.” Of course, we’ll also have our new product— the White Line Diffuser, which smells really good. We had over 1,000 people vote for the scent, and the two that were selected by our Roommates are: “Garden” and “Jasmine Bouquet.” Honestly, anyone who smells them says, “These smell amazing!” So we hope it becomes a special day where you can enjoy the scent while trying on some beautiful clothes. It’s a casual event— no reservations needed. We’d just be really happy if you come by to see us. And again, this pop-up in Kansai only happened because all of you spoke up and shared your voices with ne Quittez pas. Thank you so much! A lot of people came to our first pop-up. And we’re really looking forward to seeing some of you again. We want the event to feel like a festival, so we’re planning some fun surprises, little gifts and perks too! We’ll be sharing the details on the official BONUQUE Instagram and LINE accounts, so please follow us and look forward to it! Alright then— see you in the next video or at the pop-up! Bye-bye! Bye-bye! We’ll be waiting for you! For those who can’t make it to our pop-up event due to distance, we’ve prepared a special seasonal smartphone wallpaper for you to enjoy! We’re also planning fun events, including giveaways like tote bags, charms, and even furniture. As we get everything ready, we’re probably the most excited of all! We can’t wait for the big day. See you in the next video! NIKO

🧑🍳Cooking Recipes
* モッツァレラチーズ…1袋
* ローズマリー…2〜3本
* カルディ「丸め生パスタ リングイネ4食」…1.5食分(A)
* カットトマト缶…1缶
* 水…300㏄
(B)
* 鶏がらスープの素…大さじ2
* みりん…大さじ2
* にんにくチューブ…小さじ2
* 塩…適量
* 粗びき黒こしょう…お好みで
■作り方
* あさり…240 g
* 茹で筍…140 g
* 春キャベツ…340 g

* 水…100 cc
* パスタ…140〜160 g
* 塩麹…大さじ2

■作り方

Niko I wishing you and your husband success in future and prosperity in business ❤❤❤ from Singapore.
I'm a Korean fan of Nico. I admired Nico's lifestyle and sensual house decorations. Above all, I recently found out that mbti was the same, so I felt very similar, and I tried to fit it in, saying that's why they had similar tastes, and sometimes I became a follower and put Nico's items in every corner of my house. If there is anything I want, I hope to see Nico's bounque in Korea and I hope I can see it someday. And I don't think it would have been possible for my husband's decision to quit his job boldly without the trust, understanding, and love for Nico. The healthy thoughts of looking at each other look so pretty in my eyes as a 50-year-old wife and I want to support them~ I will pray for bonuque to prosper in the future. I'm a Korean fan of Nico.
