Tofu (stewed) Hamburg Steak ヘルシーヴィーガン豆腐ハンバーグ

– 1med onion
– vegetables; spinach you want to add (1bell pepper in this video)
– 1Tsp pure olive oil x2
– 1silken Tofu
– 1 1/2 panko(bread crumbs)
– 1Tsp potato starch
– 1/2tsp miso (you choose)
– 1Tsp amazake/koji(if you have)
– 1/4tsp black pepper
– 1cup bean mix

1. Mince onions and veg and sautee on a pan w olive oil w over low to med heat.
2. Cover silken tofu w paper towel and microwave for 2mins.
3. Into a bowl, put 1, 2, panko, potato starch, miso, amazake/koji, black pepper and bean mix then mix well. (if its too soft and not come together, add more panko!)
4. Take a handful mixture and make a round shape by using hands.
5. Grill the Hamburg steak on a pan w olive oil w med heat. When a surface turns crisp and brown, flip and put the lid w over low to med heat. After steam it for a couple mins, take off the lid and grill w med heat until the side gets crispy.
6. When its done, turn off the gas, and serve!

!!tips
Tip for this recipe is to add panko little by little when the mixture is too soft. never add lots at once.
Also, if you don’t have the seasonings; miso, amazake and koji, you can just use some herbs, salt and soy sauce to add flavours.

Recipe for stewed Hamburg steak sauce

– 1Tsp ketchup
– 1Tsp veg broth powder/ 1/4block veg broth/ 1Tsp liquid veg broth
– 1cup water
– 1tsp cane sugar
– 1Tsp vegan bbq sauce
– 1/8tsp nutmeg
– 1/8tsp rosemary
– 1tsp koji/amazake (if you have)

1. Mix all the ingredients well in a small saucepan w med heat and simmer for a few mins w hamburg steaks.
