Bus tickets are cheaper than here. There’s a bus stop right here, but they made it look like one . Hello, Jeon Hyun-moo. Somebody’s here. Since celebrities stay here for 20 minutes, they can eat here and it’s really nicely decorated. It’s really cool. It’s hard to believe it’s a rest area. How could they make it so beautiful? I could live here. They made sculptures out of old trees. Wow, it has an artistic sense. Wow, it’s really well done. The roads here are always at right angles, but here they’re winding and hilly. If they built a city on this mountainous terrain , wouldn’t they get lost? What’s this? It’s a snail. Should I buy some snails to eat later? A snail? Oh, it’s alive and moving. If I buy that alive, I can’t eat it. It would be nice if you boiled it right away. Is the GPS signal weak? The map is moving. Oh, I should go to Ilro. This time, I had to go straight to the house without passing by , but I almost passed by and then I looked at the map and it’s right here. Ah , here it is. I almost passed by and finally made it. Should I go to Mr. Happy Homestay? Why won’t he come out? Oh, I called him until my throat was hoarse, but he didn’t come out. And what’s this? There’s no place like home. There’s no place like home during a homestay. He put that up. So does that mean I should go home? It’s telling me not to sleep here and go home. That’s why he won’t come out. Why won’t he come out? Here, ramen, instant noodles, ramen is 25,000 dong. Fried rice is 70,000 dong. Oh, it’s expensive. Fried noodles here are 70,000 dong. It’s expensive. Rice noodle soup, so things like pho are 70,000 dong. Oh, I have to go out and eat. This bland guy. No matter how much I called, he wouldn’t come out, so this wasn’t going to work. So he had a WhatsApp account. When I called him on WhatsApp, he didn’t even say he was coming, he just called me to his room and bed and that was it. Oh man… I ‘ve never seen anything like this before. The owner left the door open. And it’s cool here, so there’s no air conditioning in the room. They just left the door wide open. Oh, the weather is nice. It’s perfect for smoking a cigarette. Let ‘s have a cup of coffee. If I eat now, I won’t be able to eat dinner, but I’m still hungry. I came to eat bun cha. Bun cha, what the heck, is this all the meat? It’s a bit cheap. The vegetables are also a bit like that, and it’s not really like this. Bun cha is barbecued, so the pork (chicken) barbecue should be served separately, but this is all, and these are the vegetables. Oh, I’m disappointed. I’ll try it once and then order. That’s not possible . It’s hard to wrap this with vegetables cut into these pieces. That’s why I don’t eat it like that. And the noodles are tightly clumped together like this, and if you cut them and eat them, the portion is huge. But this is crumbly, so the portion is not that big. I came to the Dalat market. I wondered if there were many delicious Omani restaurants near the market, so I went to Strawberry Heaven. The strawberries are ripe, so I wonder if they’ll be sweet and delicious. I’ll have to taste them and buy some later. And there are persimmons. Where are those persimmons? I saw them there and in Ninh Binh, but they were really small. Oh, strawberries here too. It’s strawberry heaven. Oh, and even the small persimmons are ripe . They’re ripe like persimmons. Those seeds aren’t that big. Why are the persimmons small, but the dried persimmons are so big? That’s strange. Oh, that’s an imported flower persimmon. I don’t know about this one, but the biggest dried persimmon here is about this size, right? Since the persimmons here are this big, that big, flat thing is imported from China. Google Maps says it’s open 24 hours. Is that true? Since it’s open until evening, it usually closes around this time in the evening. There’s a market here too , somewhere else . How big is it? It would take all day just to walk around the market . There’s also fish, and it looks like octopus, not baby squid. There are a lot of clams and shrimp everywhere, and there’s meat here and there, and they sell a lot of meat, and there’s a lot of pork and beef. Wow, it’s really big and there’s a lot . I’m already here and it’s turn right. Oh, here they also sell blood sausage boiled like this. This raw meat. Skip this. Is this really open 24 hours? They even have food stalls here. Trying to sell. They’re going here and there and that. I don’t know what they’re talking about. Oh my, what should I do if I stand there? I have to go. [music] Wow, my gosh, my gosh. I’ve never seen such a big market before. Dam Market is just big in area. It can’t keep up with this. Oh, they must be wholesalers too. What’s that over there? They’re even selling sweet potatoes in piles all over the place. So it’s wholesale . Oh, persimmons. This is persimmons. What ‘s with persimmons? Strawberries. They must have a lot of strawberries. Dried persimmons are everywhere. Oh, this sugar-coated one looks delicious. It’s jelly-like and sweet. Should I buy some? Sugar is bad for you. Refined carbohydrates should be avoided as much as possible and only see thank you, thank you, oh my gosh. There’s so much, so much. There’s a place selling food. They make it in the middle and people sit along the stairs . It’s so strangely arranged. There are stairs on both sides. The stairs are really wide, so I don’t know the name of the food. Anyway , I’m passing by and I’m hungry, so I’m just eating whatever. Okay, let’s get ready and eat . Oh, this cilantro is fresh, so it’s nice. It’s the freshest vegetable I’ve ever had. [Music] Yes. I’m going to Ho Chi Minh City to buy a ticket in advance. This is the terminal. This is the intercity terminal . So, there are terminals like this in other cities too. Oh, but the ride here is so boring. The big road keeps going up and down the side, so there’s nothing to see, no people, just watching the cars go by, so it’s so boring. This is Bense. I don’t know how to pronounce it. There are buses that go from Benselentin Dalat to Bense LN TN Ulok, small buses, and large buses. So, here, we take the Huta Huta bus. A lot of Koreans book online, like the Phungjang or Kungjang, but that bus is the Phutta bus. There’s no place cheaper than here. Let’s go into the Phungjang terminal. Let’s see how cheap it is. It takes 8 hours, but it’s really cheap. Ah, 200,000 dong. [Music] The ticket price is not 200, but 290, 290,000 dong. But if you buy it online, it’s a lot more expensive if you buy it through 12go. But if you buy it at your accommodation, it’s 350,000 dong or 60,000 dong. It makes a difference. But even if it’s 350,000 dong, since I’m leaving Gogi, I ‘m more comfortable on my feet. It takes an hour to get here. It takes an hour to get here, so I’m carrying my luggage. Then what’s going on over there? Even if I ride a motorcycle, I’d have to pay at least 50,000 dong . Motorcycles are uncomfortable, and you have to hold on tight for fear of falling off. It’s a real headache. So I’m just going to stay in a hotel and buy 350,000 dong. I’ll just count it as a two-hour round trip today . Don’t follow me. Most cities have their Pungjang terminals on the outskirts. If you have small luggage, you can ride a motorcycle, but if you don’t, you have to take a taxi. Add those up, and it’s the same. So don’t buy tickets online at high prices. Travel agencies in the area are often cheaper than online. It’s much easier to compare prices and buy tickets at a local travel agency . They might even be cheaper, considering the transportation costs to get to Pungjang Terminal. So, do that. Don’t suffer like me, come all this way to save money, and what the heck is this? At first, I was like, “Two hands.” “Oh, 200,000 dong is so cheap.” So I bought a ticket, but it was 290,000 dong. My kid said he couldn’t do it, so I backed out and just came. Don’t do this. Just stay comfortably at your accommodation. If you’re not at your accommodation, buy a ticket at the travel agency right next to your accommodation. That’s more convenient. It doesn’t make much of a difference . Even if it’s expensive in Korean currency, how much more expensive is it? A thousand won isn’t that much of a difference. So, you know what I’m talking about, and I’m like, “Oh my, there’s no shade in this scorching sun , and I have to walk for another hour to get to my accommodation. ” There’s a city bus stop here and there, and then there’s the one across the street. So I asked a pretty woman who looked like a college student , and she said she probably didn’t go there. She told me it would only take five minutes. I should walk. Or take a taxi. Taxis cost money. What’s five minutes?” 50 minutes, but this guy must be using the shrinking technique. He told me to walk. He said it wouldn’t take long. Oh, right. He’s leading me on a strange path back to the inn. I was scared when I came here because it was in the forest, so I just came by the roadside, but I guess I have to go now. Oh, my , my, why is the bridge so high? Is a boat passing by? No, not that. What if I go left again? I hope I’m not coming in the wrong place. Oh, I want to cross this strange bridge, but this doesn’t seem like the right way to go , so he’s telling me to go in a strange place. Oh, maybe that’s right. It’s refreshing. Ah , turn left here. Ah, good. Just a moment ago, I could hear the sound of cars, but now it’s quiet. I ‘m starting to feel a little better. There’s no road. We have to figure it out, now. It’s cut off right here. When I came from that direction earlier, there was no road. It’s a grassy area, and it said to go straight. So I didn’t come, but there it is. I passed by. There’s a mark where my footsteps left. Like this. Oh, that’s right. Sometimes it’s okay to follow the map’s directions. Also , because it’s cut off like that and the grassy area, when you look from that direction, slightly off to the side of the street, you can’t see the road, only the grass. So I thought the map must be wrong, but no. There’s a road. Cars passed by too. Oh, now that I look closely, there’s a pavement block underneath, but it looks like it was flooded or something, and now the dirt has piled up, and the grass has grown. Oh, so when you walk like this, your legs twist and all, so it’s a little easier on your knees. Rather than just walking down the same asphalt and concrete roads, when you take a road, your feet and knees twist side to side like this . That makes it feel a little more comfortable. Okay. I should have come here earlier for work. Okay, so let’s go like this and go out onto the main road. There’s a road like this too. Where? Oh my, why is there so much toilet paper? Did you just take a dump and wipe yourself? Oh, I was n’t here to buy a ticket, but I was looking at the map and found that there’s a Pungjang office right below this lodging . Bus. So I was just wondering, and I saw a review and it was 290,000 dong, the same as the one sold at the terminal over there. But if you tip over here, your nose will touch it, and they’ll come pick you up, so I bought it for 290,000 dong in the morning at the lodging. I made a really good purchase here. If you buy it at the lodging, it’s 350,000 dong, but I made 60,000 dong. As I was passing by, I saw that coconuts were really cheap, one was 6,000 dong. At the rest stop, I saw they were selling it for 40,000 dong. This one’s 6,000 dong, it’s written down. They have to write it down to do well. Whether it’s cheap or expensive, they have to write it down. That’s how they do well. So I tried it once, but I don’t know what it tastes like. It’s so-so. I won’t eat it anymore. Okay, I went out to the lakeside. It’s cooler and better to walk around at night to avoid the hot day . There’s so much to see because of the lights. I asked where the most tourists gather in ChatGPT, and they pointed me to this place. It’s a square that’s 72,000 square meters , and there are two famous sculptures . There’s a kiosk inside, and I think it’s the Highlands Coffee Shop. Oh, it’s the Highlands Mark. That’s right. There are a lot of people at the Highlands Coffee Shop, but they’re from Vietnam , so they ‘re Vietnamese tourists from other regions, not foreign tourists. Where are they all ? The lake is also a place worth walking from Dalat . The lake is a circle . If it’s too hard to do it all in one day when you have time, split it in half and do it over two days . [Music] Once early in the morning and once in the evening . What’s this place? It says “go,” and what’s there when you say “go?” Oh, it’s hot. Oh, [Music] It’s a small shopping mall. Food and all. People usually go there, starting from food, and selling various miscellaneous goods like clothes and hats. It’s different from other tourist spots in the area. There are mostly Vietnamese people and Vietnamese tourists, and it’s hot, so they don’t have to work or drive. Is it because the land is so vast? There’s no rush and it’s quite leisurely. Dalat is a good place to come if you don’t want to be crowded. Oh, the stairs are wide, and they’ve made them from there. People come up from all directions. Look at this place. It’s so wide, so even with all these street vendors, it’s not crowded or anything. So there’s no crackdown, and it’s nice and quiet for people out and about. Rather than just completely eradicating all of those things and cracking down on them, If you take it away, it’ll be really chill. Even chillier. Are you actually going to ride it? There are hot air balloons , but they’ve made it look like you’re riding one, but they made it so you can say, “Oh, I rode this one,” and then take fake pictures. It’s not really going to fly. The top is blocked. It doesn’t blast heat, but it’s blocked and continuously pumps air into the balloon with a motor to keep it in that shape . Come out to Dalat at night like this. It’s great. So, if you come a little while before sunset, about 20 or 30 minutes before, it’ll be perfect. I’ll have all the lights on. There are tourist attractions and things like that. Where are the best places to go? Where are the most touristy? If you ask on ChatGP, it’ll give you a list and a detailed explanation . It’s all explained, and you can ask me questions in return. Ask me any questions you might have . Like, “Should I plan a travel itinerary like this?” If you do something like this, it’ll just keep coming up. And the questions will just keep coming. But ChatGPTY answers the questions I wanted to ask. That’s why it’s so great. Before, when I used Gemini, I’d speak. I didn’t know how to insert things like this, but texting was fine, but speaking, if I hesitated a bit before finishing my sentence, it’d just skip right over it . And if I made a spelling mistake or something, it wouldn’t recognize it. But ChatGPTY never skips over it , even if I speak very slowly or hesitate for a few minutes . There’s a send button icon, an arrow. You have to press that to get the question to go up, which is really great. And unlike ChatGPTY, Gemini doesn’t ask questions like, “How should I do this?” or “Can I be more specific? ” So, use ChatGPTY. If I’m writing in Korean, I can do it , but I don’t do it in English. I find it difficult. But if I type in Korean and it spells something wrong or something like that, it figures it out like a ghost. “Isn’t this what you mean? ” you ask it like that. And then it gives you the answer right away. If you use ChatGPT, you can search the internet all day long and do it in just one or two seconds. It’s so great. It does everything in depth, so when I go back to Korea, I have to do that. So, I ask it to recommend a lottery number. Recommend a lottery number that’s definitely likely to win. I should try the lottery once . I won’t come in last, and I might not, but I’ll give it a try for fun . I heard that someone won that year. The great thing about ChatGPT is that I don’t want to make long sentences. It’s annoying. So, even if I just list nouns, it understands them like a charm without having to make sentences. It really understands them well. And when I travel , I use ChatGPT to ask about things like bus tickets, bus schedules, and prices. So, when I buy bus tickets or other things while traveling , I use ChatGPT, 12go, and Google Maps— a mix of all three. I always check prices and bus departure locations on 12go, and I’ve never bought a ticket through 12go. Even when I went to Thailand, I only knew where the train departed, the station location, and the name of the station. Then, I looked up the location on Google Maps and used that information. That’s how I did everything. I’ve never bought a ticket through 12go. It’s expensive, and I have to pay a commission. So, when I buy a ticket, I first go into 12go, then ChatGPT, and ask about general information. For example, I ask about the cheapest bus from Dalat to Ho Chi Minh City. Then, I get information about the travel time and other things. I’ll tell you everything you need to know without you even asking. I’ll tell you everything I need to know. Then, go to 12go. Once you go in, the prices are all over the place. They’re incredibly expensive. Then, the departure and arrival points are listed. There are many departure points. Now, if the departure point is close to your hotel, find that location on Google Maps . Don’t go far. Don’t do crazy things like me, who took an hour to get there and back. It’s close. There are multiple departure points, so the bus departs from the closest one . It’ll take about 10 minutes at most, maybe 20. There’s a bus departure point there, and it’s much cheaper. If you go there and ask for a ticket, there’s a travel agency or the transportation company office. The bus departure point is great. Everyone, adults and children, loves the lights. I really do. I love it too. I also love the restaurant and coffee. They have food for dinner . I drink coffee after eating. And it’s hard to see at night, but Dalat is surrounded by mountains everywhere you look. That means there are a lot of ups and downs. To get somewhere, you often have to go uphill for a long time, then downhill for a long time again. And there are no straight roads. Even the main roads wind and twist. The roads along the main roads aren’t straight either. The city isn’t a perfectly rectangular shape. It’s fun. That’s why you’re less likely to get lost. And on Google Maps, I save locations like the hotel I’m staying at or will be staying at, tourist attractions I want to visit, restaurants I want to visit, and terminals. There’s a “Save Location” feature. Once you save a location, whenever you open the map, you’ll see all the marks you’ve saved, whether they’re hearts or flags . So, even if you lose your way without internet access, you can just look at the map and find your way there. Because you’ve already marked your location . So, when I travel, I always do this . Mark my location. Save my location. If I save it, for example, I’m staying at a certain hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, and I save it, the bus will go straight from Dalat. Then , when it gets close, it tells me how close I am to my hotel, and I can ask the driver to let me off at that location. And they’ll let me off. Some buses will let me off and take me to my hotel, but many don’t. So, when they pass by, I say, “Please stop , I’m in a hurry. I need to pee. I’m dying.” Marking your location has so many advantages. But what if the map is completely dark and unmarked ? I don’t know where the four corners are, and I don’t even know where my hotel is. And the internet doesn’t work. Well. Oh, I don’t think anyone would do that. I do. Because I don’t use data. Most Koreans bring their own SIM cards, so there’s no need to worry about that, but it’s much better if you mark it. I don’t remember the name. Anyway, you have to try anything you’ve never tried before . How do I eat this? The noodles are really unique. The broth is very small, so it doesn’t fill you up, and it’s delicious. It’s incredibly delicious. This one has pork, rice crackers, a little ham, and lots of peanuts. Still, because we’re so high up in the mountains, the bag of crackers is filling . Even this small one is filling. We’re at an altitude of 1,500 meters, so all these crackers filled me up. They charge an entrance fee for the maintenance of Vietnam’s oldest train station . I paid 50. It’s exactly as it was in the old days . People come to take pictures of it, and they all take pictures with this in the background. It’s just as it was in the old days. I think the train runs here three times a day . Some trains run for 30 minutes , stay there for an hour, and then come back. It’s hard for me to schedule them. If I did that, it wouldn’t cost me 50,000 dong. They also sell Arabica coffee. Arabica is delicious. It’s perfect for Korean tastes . They have a lot of coffee-related shops. There’s tea, too. There’s no way they don’t have dried persimmons. This is a local specialty, Dalat. This train station was built in 1932 with French architecture, by a French architect. That kind of thing. And the history is easy to see. It’s laid out like this. The coffee here is n’t that expensive either. Since most of the tourists here are Vietnamese, things like coffee sold at tourist spots aren’t expensive. Not really. This is a train from the 1930s. There weren’t many people back then, so maybe five or six people would ride it, chugging along. Can’t we get in? Oh, the door’s locked. I found something really unusual. These sleepers aren’t cement, they’re iron. Iron. Man, they must have been incredibly heavy. They ‘re all iron. [Music] Oh, it’s all iron. Oh, there’s a huge faucet, and water is clearly dripping down. Oh, there’s a pillar in the middle, and oh, there’s a pipe in the middle, and they raise it and drop it down, but there’s nowhere for the water to go, so I wondered how water would come out. It’s really interesting. Life must have been so nice back then. It must have been so leisurely. Oh, that’s right, back then. If you look at old movies, it was like that. Back then, even when you ride this train, there was a documentary screening room, so they reviewed documents. So, like today’s passports , they did it here. It was a screening room. There was something like that. Yes. You see that in old movies. They check things like travel permits. They give out free tea. And there’s this snack here. I saw it at the market the day before yesterday. I thought it was jelly , but it’s a bit hard when I tried it. And it’s really sweet. The free tea tastes delicious. It’s unique. And that jelly-like thing from before, no, it’s not jelly. You can eat as much as you want for free, and I ate a lot. There’s also a horse ride like this. You pay for a ride . Judging by the way it’s talking to me, it’s a horse you pay for. This horse is big and nice-looking. That rich guy’s horse must be expensive . Okay, I ‘ve come to the mural village . The residents didn’t create it in the city. They came together and created it with the artists here. Oh, it’s raining. The rain has let up a lot. Oh, it suddenly started raining. There ‘s a hamburger shop, a cafe, a neighborhood tea shop, and a beauty salon . There are so many beauty salons. Oh, they’re doing nails here. Oh, a motorcycle is coming. Here in Dalat, most tourists are Vietnamese, so restaurants aren’t particularly expensive or anything . Coffee, too, is similar everywhere. It’s pretty much the same. So there’s nothing to choose from. It looks delicious, but if you go in and try it, it’s always expensive. It costs 40,000 or 50,000 dong. Coffee is almost always 20,000 dong. Whether it’s expensive or cheap, there are places that cost 12,000 dong. I came here to eat something called Bun Bo Nyeo. Bun Bo Nyeo has beef in it and it looks delicious. Should I try it? It’s beef gom-guk. It’s a bit different from the rice noodles we eat. It tastes exactly like beef gom-guk. They even have the garnishes and everything else prepared. This is Mi Quang, a noodle soup. This is the one I had . I forgot the name . It looks really delicious. This is another soup. The food is really good. I’ve come to the Cho Dem Dem Market night market. It’s just opened, so there aren’t many people. There’s a ton of food. A ton of food. There’s rice arranged by type, from strangely colored rice to all sorts of different types of skewers. There are so many, so many, so much to eat. Here’s a skewer too . Is that octopus? Is that a fish? This looks really delicious. But seafood is expensive wherever you go, in every country. More so than other things. Strawberries are a specialty here. The strawberries look really sparkly and delicious. Yogurt. Oh, this soup is boiling deliciously. There’s also dried squid, dried squid. They sell clothes over there. Oh, it’s clearly divided. They sell clothes over there and eat here. There’s a restaurant up there. Bread. Bread is a little expensive in any country. Compared to other foods, they asked me to advertise this on YouTube. Who is this? Are there any famous people here? Hello, Jeon Hyun-moo. Who’s here? I don’t know many young celebrities, but around 7 o’clock, the crowd gets really crazy. There are a lot of them. Roasted chestnuts. There are quite a few things that come out roasted inside the chestnuts. There are quite a lot in a box, but they are cheap at 20,000 dong. They are so cheap that they only cost 20,000 dong each. They are in two layers in one box . One, two, three, four, there are more than ten in total. I have about 10 of the big ones. [Music] Give me 5 dollars. They look exactly like Korean fish cakes. If you miss fish cakes, you can eat fish cakes here. Are these strawberries dried? What do these look like? Why are they so big? Those strawberries are imported from China . The big strawberries don’t grow big here. So the big strawberries and those, they are processed. The big ones and the persimmons are imported from China. As you know, the small ones like this are local strawberries. It looks delicious. There are also very, very small ones like this . There are an overwhelming number of strawberries. The fruit vendors are selling chestnuts and strawberries . I guess they grow a lot here in the highlands. The climate must be just right. What is this? What is this? At the entrance over there, it says “Dem Market.” This is the Cho Dalat Market. When you come in, it’s Dalat Market. Dalat Market is huge. Oh. Where are we going? Persimmon, persimmon, strawberry Dalat. That’s all for today’s night market tour.
