    Let me introduce how to make kashiwa(oak leave) mochi, Japanese traditional sweet for celebration of Children’s Day, 5th May. We do not eat leaves, only mochi.I have been making Kashiwa mochi since Kei was baby even in India.

    100g joshin ko (Japanese rice powder)
    2 tbsp sugar
    100ml hot water
    8-10 leaves of Kashiwa(oak)

    200g anko(sweet red bean paste)
