【未来の女将】自身の屋台開業を夢見る屋台ガール!!〜屋台修行に密着〜

Misato, 27, works at Nagahama Food Stall Street in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. This time we will introduce you to a food stall girl who is currently training with the aim of opening her own food stall! The setting is a Nagahama food stall with two names: Nagahama Shiminkyujo and Hakata Baribari. Please watch until the end to see her working hard under the kind owner from Osaka. Misato: To today’s encounter! Play ball! (Cheers) JK: How many times have you carried a food stall? Misato: I’ve done it a few times. I practice it occasionally! JK: Good luck Today is the day Misato practices carrying the food stall. The owner carries the stall from the parking lot to the sidewalk so that Misato can easily carry it. It is very hard work to move the food stall on a road with many pedestrians and cars. The owner explains the important points to be careful of when taking the route the stall will take. Owner: You have to go on the right side because you’ll get hit there. Misato: Yes! Owner: Please go to the right side of the yellow block. Misato: I’ll raise it! Owner: OK! Owner: Try raising it a bit more! Owner: Is that okay? Misato: Yes! Owner: Let’s go! Misato: Yes! Misato: Let’s go slowly! The total weight of the float is over 200 kg, which is a difficult task for a woman to pull alone. The owner will push the stall from behind while checking it. Six months after starting work at Nagahama Yatai As I got used to it, my goal gradually became to have my own food stall. To achieve this dream, he is training to run a food stall while experiencing various tasks. Misato: Can I stop? Owner: OK Misato: I’ll lower it. The food stalls start preparation at 5pm, so we waited for a while in a nearby place. As the time for preparing the food stalls approached at 5pm, we started carrying the stalls again. Misato: This is the best position. Owner: Is that the best position? Is it lighter? Misato: It feels lighter. Misato: I wasn’t able to raise it to this position earlier. Next comes the biggest challenge! We have to cross this busy main road. Misato: I’ll raise it! Owner: OK! Owner: Great! Misato: Just a little more! Misato: There are no cars coming from the right. Let’s go. Owner: Can you turn left? Misato: Yes! Misato: OK! Stopping! Owner: OK! Misato: I’ll lower it. Misato: Perfect! Misato: Can I go and bring in the other luggage? The luggage that had been brought to the opposite road in advance was moved to this side. Food stalls carry a lot of luggage. The arduous task of repeatedly crossing this main road continues. At 5pm, other stores began moving to their designated stall locations. Owner: Can you do that? Misato: Yes! Owner: Are you okay? Be careful. Misato: Yes! Misato: Wow! Misato: It’s stopping. Owner: OK! Owner: OK! Misato: I stopped it too far in front of the designated position… Owner: It’s okay, I’ll fix it. Owner: Let’s bring in the luggage first. Misato: Yes! JK: How was it moving your stall today? Misato: It’s heavy, after all. Misato: It’s heavy. It’s hard to carry. Owner: Then let’s jack it up! Misato: Yes! Jacking up the front of the stall and putting in the foundation to keep the stall level Work to expand the roof of the stall Owner: Same on the other side. Owner: Next we’ll install the supporting pillars! JK: Working at a food stall requires a lot of physical work, so it must be tough. Misato: Yes! It’s a battle of stamina! The boundary between the stalls next door is quite close. Misato: The customers left around midnight, Misato: After cleaning up, around 1 o’clock, Owner: When I get home, the first thing I do is drink some alcohol for tomorrow. JK: So instead of preparing, you drink for tomorrow? Owner: Preparation begins after waking up! Owner: I wake up, go shopping, and then do it. JK: So you’re up and running from the morning? Owner: I usually wake up around 10 o’clock. I go shopping around 11am and take a break around 12pm. Owner: We prepare the food from 1pm to 3pm. JK: Do you also want to be able to prepare the food? Misato: Yes! I want to learn it! Misato: I think it’s going to be really hard! There’s also yakitori and stuff! JK: It would be nice if we could gradually become able to do that. Misato: Gradually! Vegetables and things like that… JK: Is there a dish you’re good at? Misato: I’m good at making tonpeiyaki. Misato: I’m good at wrapping the pork for tonpeiyaki in egg. Owner: Great! That’s a good punchline… Misato: I’m better at making tonpeiyaki than the owner!! Owner: What?! JK: How did you meet the owner? Misato: We used to work at the same place. Misato: We met as colleagues working together at the time. Apparently, at his previous workplace, Misato was the owner’s boss. Misato will be in charge of teppanyaki today. Misato: The reason I started working here was… Misato: At first I came here as a customer… Misato: When customers came, I sometimes helped out a little. Misato: After I quit my job, I found out that the store was short-staffed… Misato: That was the trigger for me to start working part-time. The extremely popular chicken paitan ramen soup Now open for business!! JK: Why did you change your shop name from Nagahama Shiminkyujo to Hakata Baribari? Owner: I think we’ve been able to attract more baseball fans over the past two and a half years. Owner: The next two years will be a step up. We changed it to make the stall more accessible to people who aren’t baseball fans. JK: It doesn’t have a plate on it yet? Owner: Yes, we are currently working on it and the front will say “Hakata Baribari” as the new shop name. Owner: When viewed from the road, the shop name “Nagahama Shiminkyujo” will remain. JK: So you have two store names? Owner: That’s right. Owner: Hakata Baribari in front, Nagahama Shiminkyujo in the back Owner: I thought it would be good for a baseball stall to have a front and back. Owner: That’s what I did! Play ball!! JK: Will you be applying for Fukuoka City’s food stall opening next year? Misato: No, I won’t enter next year yet. Misato: A few years from now? I’m thinking of applying someday. Misato: I’ll train here and then apply! JK: Do you have any dreams? Misato: I have a dream! I want to do it! JK: When did you start thinking about opening a food stall? Misato: It’s been gradual since I started working, Misato: The reason is that I’ve become somewhat skilled at cooking at the owner’s food stall. Misato: I think the most fun thing is being able to feel close to the audience. Misato: I thought I’d like to do it! perilla pork Tonpeiyaki (Cheese) cheese Misato: I’m tired… Misato: It took too long… Okonomiyaki sauce mayonnaise Green laver Misato: It’s completely torn… Misato: It’s going to be Tonpeiyaki! 1.
