Universal Epic Universe Vlog | Day 2 | Universal Orlando Resort Florida Express Passes | Adam Hattan

(magical intro music plays) – Moooorning! Welcome back to the Florida adventure and the Helios Grand. It is currently 6:00 AM
and the Aurora market, which is downstairs in
lobby, has just opened. So I’m gonna get Luke and I
a coffee and some pastries. Holy Mary, mother of God, look at these. They’ve got a spinach
croissant, chocolate croissant, banana nut muffin. Look at those cinnamon rolls. Even though it’s 6:00 AM in the morning, those team members are joyous and smiley and lovely and wonderful. And okay it’s first thing in the morning I’m getting emotional. But the team members here
at Epic in particular are just exceptional. I was just looking at our beds thinking like that was a
comfy sleep, wasn’t it, Luke? – [Luke] Very nice. Very nice. – [Adam] A bit of a state. – Let’s not get bogged down
in the state of the room. And the mess we’re gonna leave it in. Oh, no, I slept well. – Good thing about this hotel though is they do daily housekeeping,
which is really nice. And let’s check out the view. Just go on the iPad, curtains, drapes, sheers open. (sheers whirring) Look at that view! Gorgeous. And guests are already
going in from the Helios. They’re lining up down the bottom. Early entry’s gonna begin
at 9:00 AM this morning. Early entry is available for onsite Universal
Orlando Resort guests. So if you’re staying in a Universal hotel, you will then be able
to get in at 9:00 AM. And today we’ll have access to
Dark Universe, Celestial Park and Super Nintendo World I think. And then How to Train
a Dragon Isle of Berk and Harry Potter, Wizarding World of Harry
Potter Ministry of Magic opens at 10:00. Donkey Kong doesn’t
open ‘til 10:00 either, but we’ve got Express today. We’re putting that to the test. Not cheap, gonna put it out there, but we’ve only got one full day here and we wanna make sure Luke
gets to go and see everything. Don’t we, Luke?
    – I wanna see everything. – Pro tip for you, if you’re coming to
Universal Orlando Resort, I recommend getting a lanyard because then you can have your room key, your annual pass, your park ticket, your Express, everything just at disp… ‘Cause you need to scan
things quite a lot, especially at the legacy parks where you’re going into the
lockers and stuff like that. And you can have these
on the roller coasters. You just have to tuck
it in as you go on them. Are you ready? – I’m ready. – [Adam] Let’s go. – [Luke] My sunglasses. – [Adam] He’s not ready. (laughs) – Okay, let’s jump at the same time. – No, don’t you dare!
    – Whoo! – I had some friends that
jumped in a lift once and then it got stopped for an hour and so that wasn’t gonna happen. That’s cool. So now that they know who you are and what your name is and what your face looks
like on my account- – Yeah. – [Adam] Just go walk straight in. Don’t need actual the tickets. I mean still have them with you ‘cause that would be silly if you didn’t and then they needed it. – [Luke] Oh sunshine! ♪ Sunshine ♪ ♪ Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone ♪ (Luke mutter sings) ♪ And I don’t know the words either ♪ – No I don’t, either. world during early entry, you’ll need to present your room key to the team members at the front. – You’re awesome, thank you. Please have your hotel room key out. – Eek.
    – It’s alive. (electricity crackling) I love this portal. You all right there, Luke? You got this. You all right mate? It’s all right. (Adam laughs) – This is too much. Like Gemma Collins, but she
was on “I’m a Celebrity.” – Oh my Christ. (men laughing) – Whoa! This place has given me

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique type thing here?
    – Yes. It’s called Monster Makeover. That’s Curse of the Werewolf, which is a spinning rollercoaster. Ta da! Right on cue. (riders scream) And then this is Monsters Unchained, The Frankenstein Experiment. – Welcome, volunteers.

the theme park industry to have an attraction
kind of be a hero piece while still maintaining
a low, low wait time. – Yeah. Yeah.
    – It just kind of proved that you can have an amazing attraction without having a long wait time. It doesn’t have to have a long wait time to justify it being good. – [Luke] Yeah, yeah, yeah. – I also recommend not
using your Express Pass in the morning. So you can come through the
line and see everything. (electricity crackling) (guest chattering)

filming this clip in the future. So Luke’s currently having a lie in, but we wanted to include
our thoughts and opinions of Express Pass in this video because that’s the one you’re watching. So overall it was $269.99 per person. It is very expensive, especially compared to the legacy parks and comparable services at
other theme parks, right? Luke’s opinion is, and I agree with it, that Express Pass yesterday allowed us to have that afternoon break. But we definitely could
have done most of the park or at least what we wanted to do without Express based on the crowd levels that we had at the beginning of October. So there’s never a straight answer for whether it’s right for
you or whether it’s not. ‘Cause everybody’s
circumstances is different. It just so happened that we
were staying at the Helios. We thought, you know,
it’s Luke’s first time. We wanna make sure that we can see and do everything that we want to do. And the Express Pass definitely helped. Overall we did enjoy using Express. Will I do it again? I probably won’t based on the fact that, I have ridden the attractions. But if it’s your first
time, take what I’ve said, maybe look at the other time
that I did review Express Pass and build your conclusion. But overall, we’ve had a great day. (bright music) (bright music continues) (bright music continues) (playfully pensive music) (bright music) (bright music continues) (dramatic finale)

This vlog begins at the Helios Grand where I grab us breakfast pastries from the Aurora Market. After admiring the theme park view from our room and the early entry queue forming below, we talk through the benefits of staying onsite at Universal Orlando Resort for early park admission.

We start the day in Dark Universe and riding Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment and Curse of the Werewolf. We share our thoughts on the themed merchandise, new designs and prices. I also share a few Universal Orlando pro tips including when to use Express, why a lanyard is essential and where to find the best free water refill spots.

Next we head into How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk for Dragon Racer’s Rally. We test our skills at flipping the ride vehicles upside down, compare spin counts and rate the experience. Afterwards, we browse the Berk merchandise including hats, bags and plush. We move on to Super Nintendo World for lunch at Toadstool Cafe, a ride on Yoshi’s Adventure and Mine Cart Madness, sharing our honest thoughts, Express efficiency and what we love about this world.

In the afternoon, we take a break back at the Helios Grand to relax by the pool. We meet the lovely Olivia, one of the pool hosts, and chat about the poolside food and drinks, cabana pricing and Universal’s policy that allows guests to pool-hop between hotels. After some downtime, we head back into Epic Universe for the evening.

We begin in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic for the Le Cirque Arcanus show, then ride Harry Potter and the Battle of the Ministry of Magic using Express. Luke shares his first reactions and we both compare it to other large-scale attractions like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

For dinner we visit Café L’air de la Sirène, where we order the ratatouille baguette, the turkey and brie baguette, and the butterbeer crepe. We split the dishes to review both options and rate the food out of five. We also share the cost and discuss Universal’s approach to elevated quick service dining.

We finish the night riding Hiccup’s Wing Gliders in How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, explore Dark Universe at night, and end with the Constellation Carousel in Celestial Park. I also give our honest verdict on Universal Express at Epic Universe, the total cost, value, and whether it’s worth it for first-time visitors.

    1. I think it’s looking like you can do it in one day?!
I prefer the scale of 1-10 as per Luke 👍 it allows for more of a range across multiple places

    2. Loving the Adam and Luke combo. My heart belongs to Gary C but Luke is a treasure as well ❤. Cheers Ears is another of my favorite channels. 🫶

    3. I know it’s been said on other vids, but i still appreciate that Adam continues to edit his vids the same way he treated the Japan vlogs 🥰

    4. So it might just be American slang, but whenever Luke says spooky dookey, I am imagining scary poop. Made me chuckle each time.

    5. Loving this video series. So much fun and silliness … I realize that Adam is such a great guide and friend and Luke…. His parents did a good job with him!

    6. When my husband was a team member we got a discount on the express pass. It was still pricey but when his family came for the first time ever to UO and with his free admission we thought it was a good deal. Now that he isn’t one and we have to pay for admission, I don’t think I would do it.

    7. I love how you had to clarify Luke's sarcasm in Dark Universe lol. I never want this series to end! Y'all are amazing! <3

    8. It would be fun to watch you, Gary and Luke visit a theme park together, maybe Disney Paris? Or to a completely different one, like, Dollywood.

    9. One thing I dont enjoy about Universal vlogs is that since they strictly prohibit filming on rides, you only see the before and after. One of my favs is watching the reactions of riders especially first timers .

    10. I love how much you appreciate Epic! Heard so much negativity about it but we did a one day ticket anyway and its just incredible, so glad we did

    11. I love Luke being with you please have more trips together, but what would be even better having Luke and the ever loving Gary C. together on a trip. The Adam trio would be the of both worlds getting our virtual vacation and some comedy entertainment as well. I love you Adam and Thank you for all you do for us. There will be the day we meet at Disney World I will be the blubbering baby because I would be so excited to see you!!!!

    12. I just want to know how Adam has no friends that are duds?!? Every single person he has gone on a trip with, included in a vlog or gets together to spend a day with is a delight. Looks like you accomplished a lot in one day at Epic, looking forward to more dad jokes from this trip!

    13. Lol, the prices! Just got back from one night in Hollywood, nice price at the Roosevelt, had to fly in 24 hours for a family event. But dang $50 for two drinks, ohh la la. Included a tip before paying, wowza.

That said, cannot wait to visit Epic. Saving our pennies (or whatever they’re called these days…)

❤️ to you & Luke & all the💕 to Gary C. Thanks for all the joyful fun, we rly need every second of it.
