新店オープン!きのとや・札幌農学校 大丸札幌店 NEW OPEN!北海道旅行
Hello from in front of JR Sapporo Station! Today, we are at Daimaru Sapporo, directly connected to Sapporo Station, to introduce the newly opened “Sapporo Agricultural College”. Speaking of “Sapporo Agricultural College”— their signature “Hokkaido Milk Cookies” have sold a total of
350 million pieces! Actually, this number is not even fully counted,
so the real number should be higher. These cookies are truly delicious. And this year marks the 20th anniversary since they were born. To celebrate this special milestone, they opened a specialty shop inside Daimaru Sapporo! And this time, there are limited sweets available only at Daimaru Sapporo. So I’m sure there will be a huge line as always. Alright, let’s go check it out! The familiar lining-up spot— we are now at the basement entrance of Daimaru Sapporo. This line is for the newly released limited sweets called “Harriet”. By the way, for other products, you don’t need to line up here to buy them. “Harriet” is sold three times a day,
at 10:00, 13:00, and 16:00. It seems there is a quantity limit as well. You get a numbered ticket, and wait for your turn. And today is the very first day of opening! There was already a line forming one hour before opening. That means… expectations are definitely high for this item. I’m excited! While waiting, let’s take a look at the history of “Sapporo Agricultural College”. The name comes from “Sapporo Agricultural College”, the predecessor of Hokkaido University, founded in 1876. Dr. Clark and others invited from the United States brought Western knowledge and technology to Hokkaido
and laid the foundation for agriculture here. Many outstanding individuals were trained here and they greatly contributed to the development of dairy farming and agriculture in Hokkaido. Knowing this history makes sightseeing in Sapporo even more interesting! For example, the Sapporo Clock Tower— some people call it a “disappointing spot”, but actually, it was built just two years after the Agricultural College was founded and served as a facility for student drills and academic presentations. When you know the history and background of the building, even the angle and style of how you take photos becomes more fun. And the brand that inherited the spirit of this historic school is the sweets brand “Sapporo Agricultural College” created by Kinotoya. They generously use carefully selected ingredients like milk, wheat,
and butter grown in Hokkaido, and make the sweets with great care. Just by tasting them, you can also enjoy the stories of Hokkaido. Knowing the history and blessings of Hokkaido makes both sightseeing and sweets even more exciting! Now then, from here on— it’s finally time to try the Daimaru Sapporo exclusive sweets! Daimaru Sapporo exclusive sweets “Harriet” This comes in a box of 3 pieces for 972 yen (tax included). It is sold three times a day — at 10:00, 13:00, and 16:00, and because it is popular, there may be purchase limits. Open the retro-designed box and— you will see fluffy sponge cake! It is so delicate that it would collapse if left unprotected. So each one is placed in a protected form. The batter is carefully whipped with eggs and gently mixed and baked to create a fine and light texture. The moment you put it in your mouth, its fluffy softness melts instantly. Inside is plenty of special cream
made by blending homemade custard with fresh cream. The natural flavors of the ingredients stand out,
simple yet luxurious. The balance between the fluffy sponge and cream is perfect— every bite makes you feel happy. Although it is easy to eat in one or two bites, it still gives plenty of satisfaction. Not only for yourself,
but also perfect as a small gift. It is mildly sweet but still rich—
yet refreshing at the same time. The lightness of the sponge and richness of the cream melt together in your mouth…
delicious! Next is this! “Dairy Baked Cheesecake” 3 pieces 1,188 yen (tax included)
6 pieces 2,376 yen (tax included) Fresh milk directly from their own dairy farm in Hokkaido They use plenty of flavorful pasture-raised milk The moment you take a bite The aroma of cheese and the gentle milk flavor spread softly in your mouth The batter is made by carefully mixing selected ingredients with fluffy meringue The melt-in-your-mouth texture is truly a bite of happiness And this cheesecake can be enjoyed differently depending on the temperature At room temperature, it is fluffy and light, and when chilled in the fridge, it becomes moist and rich So you can enjoy both fluffy and moist textures depending on your mood and preference It is light and airy, yet you can really feel the richness of cheese It has a perfectly balanced flavor This is not only for cheesecake lovers But also perfect for those who want to enjoy the taste of Hokkaido milk Next up is this one “Dairy Milk Baumkuchen” It costs 864 yen per piece including tax This also uses plenty of flavorful pasture-raised milk from their own farm The gentle milk aroma spreads softly And adding fermented butter brings a deep richness Perfectly harmonizing with the sweetness of the milk They take time to bake it carefully Which creates its moist and tender texture It melts softly in your mouth With a refined sweetness that gently spreads The layered texture of Baumkuchen is fun to enjoy, and both the look and taste are very satisfying By the way, in Sapporo city, this is available only here

So nice cakes and cookies😊😊😊
Compared to trendy SNS snacks like Dubai Chocolate, these Hokkaido snacks may seem a bit plain and simple.
But it's because of it's simplicity, you can really see and taste the quality of each of them, and that really reflects Japanese culture well.
