必比登神話還是真話?爆食姐妹直擊35道新竹入選美食!真有這麼神?
Their soft-boiled eggs are truly amazing; every yolk is so beautiful , I’m enjoying it so much! And the taro they give us is huge! This is the ultimate way to eat taro – stewed until it can be easily cut open! Try some first, I’m ready to order this bowl! The taro is delicious, the shrimp balls are delicious , the broth is delicious, and the rice noodles are delicious! The latest 2025 Bib Gourmand list has been released! That’s right, a total of 144 restaurants across Taiwan, from south to north, are on the list , and 7 of them are in Hsinchu, where we are right now ! Wow, this year’s Bib Gourmand has really produced many dark horses ! Today, we, the food-loving sisters, will be checking out 4 of them for you. Are you as excited as we are? Then let’s get started! Go , this is the Bib Gourmand award-winning item this year, the Sunny Side Up Rice . Below it is braised pork rice. The braised pork is amazing ; it’s hand-cut, freshly cut, warm pork that’s braised for over ten hours, making it incredibly tender and flavorful. And the way you eat it is the best way— the yolk should run into the rice! I’m going to dig in now . Can you tell me more? I’ll finish eating first. Okay, okay, okay . I think their frying technique is amazing! Don’t you think their sunny- side-up egg is fried so perfectly white and tender? Because some eggs are fried until there are crumbs on the edges. The bits and pieces of fatty meat were so hot and delicious! They were really enjoyable to eat! Their soft- boiled eggs were truly amazing; every yolk was so beautiful and tasty. But actually, the restaurant was very thoughtful, as not everyone eats soft-boiled eggs, so they also offered both soft-boiled and fully cooked options . The hand-cut pork, while fatty , wasn’t greasy at all. And its sweetness, I felt, was n’t quite as intensely sweet as in Tainan or southern Taiwan. The soy sauce flavor was a bit stronger. It had a gelatinous texture on the lips; it had been braised for over ten hours until it developed a gelatinous texture . All the essence is braised in that pot. And it’s not just in our rice, even the meat we order separately is so beautiful ! Wow, this leg meat is so gorgeous! As long as I say the lean meat is okay, this bowl is fine. Add some bamboo shoots and eat it . This feels like I could order it to take home for the New Year . Besides rice, we also ordered…wait, what’s that bowl of yours? Meat soup rice noodles. But the meat soup isn’t quite what I expected. When I eat rice noodles, I prefer the soup kind, with the broth on top; I think it tastes better that way. I find rice noodles too dry. The only difference is… wow ! The meat broth was really big; the meat broth we usually eat is small, not like these giant chunks. But this meat broth didn’t seem to have a very high coating ratio. It really felt like the meat chunks were stewed together, because I saw that there wasn’t much coating on the surface. It was very substantial. One bite of meat… And the rice noodles… let me check if they’re dry. Speaking of rice noodles, Hsinchu rice noodles are delicious , so I think they must use local Hsinchu rice noodles to make this special dish. I think that’s good, because we just sat in the soup for a while, so it absorbed a lot of the broth . My bowl is supposed to be wonton noodles, but I ordered the pasta section. I do n’t know why, but I’ve been really into pasta lately. This pasta is quite different from what I imagined. It’s thinner , and the other side is a little wider and a bit chewy. It’s more upright . It looks like regular thin noodles , but the texture and taste are like a thinner version of plain noodles. The broth is pretty good, quite refreshing, with a rich fried shallot flavor, similar to my bowl. I’ve noticed that the food in Hsinchu is quite different from what we usually eat. Same name, different ingredients, different presentation. But we have to get used to their eating habits. So we have to get used to the eating habits of the wealthy. Let me give a shout-out to this one I have now . This is similar to what we eat at those black and white cut snack shops. It’s either very powdery or very white, with less color. And this one is chewier, somewhere between meat jelly and rice noodle rolls. It’s mostly starchy . Even the rice noodle rolls in Qishan have this texture . I also ordered fried meat. The powder on the outside is a bit like the old-fashioned sweet potato starch noodles . And this one… yeah, why… The name we got was completely different from what we expected. The meat and noodles were in a clear broth , and the chicken roll we thought would be like the tempura we had in Chiayi, the kind with a diaphragm inside . But it turned out to be something completely different from what we imagined! It totally changed our perception of food. We thought we ordered this, but it came in a completely different way. This “sun rice” was so delicious that we finished it in no time ! I even saved the egg for last. No worries, we can savor it slowly. After this place, we have another Bib Gourmand restaurant waiting for us. That ‘s right , let’s go ! Wow, Dongmen Market looks so familiar! Let’s just film a side story here, okay? I told you, we came here before for a food competition. It’s completely different during the day and at night, and the nighttime is even more unique , like one of those Japanese-style town districts … There are so many people! This crowd… we’ll have to wait until some year in the Republic of China era ! Let me check what time it is… Oh, it’s lunchtime, 12 o’clock! No wonder it’s so crowded . I think we’ll have to wait at least 30 minutes. And it’s expanded from one store to another, and now there’s a seating area… lots of takeout and lots of dine-in too ! And where exactly is the beginning and end of the queue? I think we need to hurry up and join the queue, otherwise we’ll really have to wait too long. It should be this way, right? It should be here , right ? Where do we go? Okay, okay, let’s ask them how to order . This is my first time here. Apparently, you have to order first, then pay. After paying, the staff will show you to a table. That’s right. Right now, many people order and then wait to be seated. There are also many chairs nearby for people to sit and wait . So we need to hurry up. Just now, an auntie said she’d been waiting for a long time. Is that true? It might take half an hour for our stall to wait. Is that true ? Or can we order some food first and then go to the next stall ? Let’s go eat next door, okay? I think that’s fine. Are you being so polite? Because there are two more stalls behind us , and we’re going to have to wait a long time , so let’s order first . Yes, then 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 items , that’s enough ! The 2025 Bib Gourmand food is right in front of us! Yes , and we waited at least half an hour. We came here because so many groups were waiting for the air-conditioned rooms, so we sat outside. But it’s almost autumn, so it wasn’t too hot. Actually , I really wanted to wait for the air-conditioned rooms, haha, but we made do . Okay , so the best thing was the taro and the egg custard! I thought it was a whole piece, but maybe because it’s so popular , each bowl only has a bite or two. Okay , you can really taste the egg flavor, it’s very pronounced and flavorful. The egg flavor has absorbed the soup’s taste, it ‘s quite sweet . But you could give us more, no problem , but it might cost extra. I really think they gave us too much taro. These are huge! Aren’t you worried they won’t cook through? They should be very soft, right ? Cut them open like this… Yes, this is taro, so soft, so soft, so soft! The best way to eat it! It’s been stewed until it’s completely soft enough to cut open. Hey , try some first ! Is it hot? It’s okay, but the taro is so soft and fragrant! It’s super delicious! You have to try their taro! And let me tell you, their prices are usually around 200 NTD per serving . This bowl of fish maw is 200 NTD, but the pieces inside are huge! I have two pieces of fish maw! Two pieces ! I was just thinking, “Two pieces, so 200 NTD is acceptable. ” And the best part is the oily part—that’s the best part! It’s such great value! I’m going to take a bite first, so oily ! Be careful of fish bones! Because it’s milkfish. Milkfish belly is really hard to clean. This belly is so delicious! It doesn’t have too much oil . Some fish maw has a lot of oil, which can be a bit scary. It has more Omega… The fish oil in the third flavor is incredibly flavorful; after absorbing the broth, it ‘s both fresh and sweet. The fish meat is also very tender , cooked just right— not too dry or overcooked . The broth is delicious too! The rice noodles inside are thick rice noodles, the kind we’re familiar with. Remember that rice noodle soup we had at a market in Taipei last time ? Yes , I remember. It ‘s completely different from the rice noodles we just ate. The rice noodles we had were more common ; these look more like thin rice noodles . They’re delicious, very chewy and springy ! The food was amazing ! We just ordered the fried pork ribs , and look how high-quality the meat is! The skin is so thin, and I loved the salt and pepper topping—it was delicious! And I haven’t even mentioned the shrimp balls yet ! I heard their shrimp balls are a must-try here, made by hand and freshly squeezed. They also have them as a side dish, but they’re made with a spicy and numbing flavor. I could totally order this bowl! The taro was delicious, the shrimp balls were delicious, the broth was great, and the rice noodles were delicious too. And if you look closely at the shrimp balls, you can clearly taste the shrimp inside, and the coating is so smooth… The proportions are just right, completely enveloping the shrimp’s sweetness. Every bite is bursting with shrimp juice , and the meat itself feels like it’s bouncing around in your mouth – so bouncy! It doesn’t feel like you’re eating rice flour all at once; it’s very fresh and delicious. And then there’s the Sichuan – style spicy chicken. For those who love spicy food, this is so tender and smooth! I can even see the sheen of oil ! Yes, the Sichuan-style spicy chicken is so delicious. I want to pair it with some peanuts. And it’s not spicy at all! It looks vibrant and spicy, but the spiciness is actually quite mild . It’s definitely not spicy. And there’s also a small cucumber… The chicken, cooked until it’s mushy and stringy , is dipped in chili oil as an appetizer. The chicken tastes like it’s been sous-vide, so tender and juicy! Besides the Sichuan-style “saliva chicken,” we also ordered the Sichuan peppercorn chicken. The meat is so thick! Wow, each one is thickly sliced , the skin is so crispy and refreshing! The lemongrass flavor is very pronounced , and the meat is very flavorful . It’s delicious! Those who like strong flavors will love it . There ‘s also a lot of garlic , no doubt about it. And the okra portion is generous too! Wow, the stringy texture of okra! Okra is all about eating that kind of mucilage. I think this place is really good. I heard about rice noodles before … I wasn’t really interested, but it broke my preconceived notions and my impressions. It’s really not bad , but it seems like we haven’t collected enough names yet, right? That ‘s right . We’re going to eat beef noodles later. Sounds good! There’s air conditioning! I can’t wait ! Sorry for making you sweat. Yes… I can’t wait ! Let ‘s hurry to the next place… Let’s hurry to the air-conditioned place! Yes, let’s hurry to the next place! Let’s go ! The beef noodles I was talking about are right here! They smell so good! I could smell them from the doorway! And the important thing is, we walked here. I feel a bit sweaty and hungry. I think I need to replenish my energy. That ‘s right … One is right near the City God Temple , and it only took us 10 minutes to walk here from the second shop . Yes , are you hungry? Very hungry! Look how amazing it is! Let ‘s go in first. Okay, today we’ll just follow this sign. It’s also a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand recommended shop . Wow, it’s so plentiful! And the shop is very thoughtful. It’s very hot outside, but the drinks inside are all- you-can-drink. Oh, why does your bowl look a little different ? I was thinking it would be more environmentally friendly to use this container, but it’s okay. If you can finish it, everyone should try to drink the winter melon tea. It’s super delicious and will help you cool down. Come on, let’s start eating ! We ordered the same items today. This is their award-winning braised beef brisket noodles. Yes, I chose the ramen. Usually, the broth for braised dishes includes fermented soybean paste, but theirs is made with beef brisket, soy sauce, and plenty of vegetables, resulting in a naturally sweet and meaty flavor . If you want a richer, more complex flavor, they also have their own rendered beef tallow to add. What’s even better is their chili peppers – they use chicken heart peppers and ghost peppers, making this dish something to look forward to. I’ll try it later to see how spicy it is. But for now, let’s try the original broth. Okay , it looks delicious! I think the soy sauce flavor is quite pronounced. Its soy sauce aroma and braised soup don’t have the strong herbal flavor we’re used to. This place really leans towards a vegetable and fruit flavor with a sweet soy sauce, going for a refreshing and light taste. Let me try it. I ‘ll dip this in their chili sauce. Let’s see how spicy it is. Is it very spicy? Look at my eyes! It ‘s okay, not spicy at all , but very fragrant. And this tastes like it’s made with fresh chilies, because it’s not as thick as other chilies. But I just ate noodles, and I really liked their noodles—they were very chewy and didn’t get mushy in the soup. They’re very thoughtful; you can get free refills of soup after you finish. Oh, wait a minute, let’s hurry! We’re halfway through, let’s go get some! Heating the soup is fine . I’d like to add some . Yes, because the soup I was drinking earlier was a bit too light for me. I’d like it a little thicker. We both like strong flavors, so it’ll taste better. Is it fragrant ? I want to add butter. It reduces the soy sauce flavor. I think I should add all the butter. Butter is so delicious! Originally, I was just drinking the soup and it felt a little too light . That’s because we usually eat very salty food. It’s really different from the braised soups I’ve had elsewhere. It doesn’t have a medicinal taste. Adding butter is a must. Actually, the restaurant has two types of soup bases : one is clear broth, and the other is braised. They mainly use these two, but I think… We probably prefer braised dishes; I love strong flavors. The risotto seems to have the same base , just with a thickened sauce. Do you like thickened sauce? I like it ! You finally got to try it! Let me try it and see if it tastes the same. It’s the same ! Every grain of rice is coated with a very thick and rich sauce aroma. I think the risotto has a stronger soy sauce flavor. And the braised dishes in their shop are so cute when you’re picking them up, because they use a small food cart with all sorts of braised dishes inside. There’s the large intestine we often see , and the tripe is definitely a must-try. The large intestine looks so tempting! Thank you for the clear stew. What does this clear broth remind me of? It tastes a lot like Vietnamese pho. Actually , I was thinking that when it was served. I think the broth is because it’s clear broth and it has basil in it, and lots of things like onions and bean sprouts. It’s very similar to the Vietnamese pho we’ve had before. Look at all those bean sprouts and vegetables! Oh yes, that sweetness, that feeling… it all feels familiar. Vietnamese pho owner, I’d like to ask, usually when we hear about braised dishes, we hear they have a stronger herbal flavor. Why is yours the opposite ? It has more of a vegetable and fruit flavor. Yes, because we added a lot of vegetables and tomatoes to the broth, and there’s a whole pot of beef in it . Actually, it tastes quite sweet , which I prefer because I researched it myself. I went around eating beef noodles and researched how to make this beef broth with Chinese herbal medicine. It doesn’t have a strong herbal taste . So later I researched how to add beef tallow to the beef noodles. Yes , adding it changes the flavor. People who like strong flavors will like it more. Actually , now it’s the era of the elderly, and most people prefer light flavors. I’ve been in business for a few years. This store has been open for a year, and there’s a store in Miaoli that’s been open for six years. Right? I was just thinking, why does it look so similar? We’ve been there before. No wonder you look familiar, friend. The first store was in Miaoli. This is the second place. How do you recognize the owner? The thing about the owner’s neck is really something else! You eat super fast without even realizing it , and we ate really cleanly, which I thought was great. The restaurant offers free drinks, so you can drink as much as you want, and the soup is also all-you-can-drink. The portions are quite generous, really generous . Our editor said that even one guy could n’t finish it. We were very satisfied and happy . No wonder it’s a Bib Gourmand recommended , super delicious ! There’s one last place waiting for us, of course, we’re not full yet, right? Of course, we’re not full yet . You say you’re full, but you’re not full either, right? I forgot, we’re both big eaters! Okay, let’s go , on to the next place! This bowl of rice is amazing! The English name for duck is… Is this the part about starting English lessons ? I just saw a duck and thought “Duck,” but this duck rice place seems to have a lot of duck dishes. Look, there’s this stir-fried duck intestine and this stir-fried duck blood —that’s quite rare! Stir-fried duck blood is super unusual . Squid is more common, right? And this looks like the stir-fried kind we eat when we have Peking duck prepared two ways. And this one is quite special; it’s a must-order here , a smoked flavor . What I’m most curious about is this one— have you tried it before? No, but as a big eater, how can I say something like that? I really have to be fair. Let me tell you, people with OCD might think, ” How can yellow noodles be mixed with rice noodles? ” No, no, no, you don’t understand. In our Kaohsiung markets in the south, when you order fried noodles, they fry rice noodles on one side and fried noodles on the other. You tell the owner you want a mix, and they’ll give you half from each side , then top it with plenty of minced meat. Okay, you eat first, I’ll eat this duck rice first. This bowl of duck rice is really huge! It’s topped with their chopped duck meat and sprinkled with their own fried shallots. Isn’t it amazing? The duck meat isn’t dry at all because of the… They sprinkle on some of their own pepper seasoning, so you see those little black dots? That’s their pepper salt, it’s very flavorful , and the fried shallots are very fragrant. The rice under the duck sauce is also incredibly flavorful, I think it’s already drizzled with duck oil. Speaking of flavorful, do n’t you think we’ve been to four restaurants in Hsinchu today , and three of them serve rice noodles? Yes , Hsinchu people really love rice noodles ! Let me try this rice noodle dish with sauce and noodles. Does it suit my taste ? I imagine the texture is amazing. One is noodles, and the other is rice noodles. I think the textures of those two shouldn’t be like that— noodles are noodles, rice noodles are rice noodles? Let me tell you, they’re different. It’s quite a unique flavor because the noodles have a more substantial texture. The rice noodles are thin , but what’s special is that they’re moist and soaked up all the sauce. It’s different from what I expected. I always thought these might be a bit dry , but when I pick them up like this, they don’t stick together. Usually, noodles stick together, right? No, they don’t. Actually, when you pick them up like this, they’re loose. Hearing you say that, I want to try one. You can try it. Like my mom says, when you go out to play, you have to try everything. Okay, let’s do it ! Everyone has their own preferences, but I feel like these two don’t really blend together. I guess I’m not used to eating like this since I was little , so I also ordered a duck soup with glass noodles. The noodles soaked up all the broth, which was great ! This bowl was huge! The owner added broth twice, so it must be very juicy, right? And it was really delicious! The pickled cabbage on top was just right , enhancing the overall flavor of the soup . The glass noodles were incredibly smooth and absorbed the broth perfectly. And the duck meat they gave me was from the leg, which was amazing ! The most noticeable difference was the ginger flavor; it was completely different from mine. Mine had a stronger minced meat flavor, while yours had a very rich ginger flavor. But the most special thing was this: when I looked at the menu, I knew I had to order this . Generally speaking… Isn’t this for hot pot? It’s for stir-frying! It ‘s sliced so thinly ! Here’s a side view of it. It’s sliced so thinly! The vinegar flavor is so strong! The black vinegar is so fragrant ! The duck blood has a jelly-like texture, so delicious ! It ‘s soaked up all the black vinegar sauce. You see, it looks spicy, but actually, I don’t think the spiciness is that bad, not that intense . I think this is delicious! Let’s try the duck meat, it’s one of their signature dishes. I just ate some soup noodles, and the duck meat in it was so juicy and not dry at all , it practically fell off the bone! So I was really curious about this one. The smoky flavor of the duck meat alone is amazing , the meat is so tender! It’s not the kind of meat you can’t bite through. Some of the meat is so tender you’ll have to pull it out with your hands. The meat is soft and delicious , and the flavor is incredibly rich. The skin has a wonderfully smoky and salty taste that ‘s fully absorbed. Besides the smoky flavor, it also has a slightly salty taste, but the saltiness is just right, and it’s very juicy. The best part is, I never expected this duck to be so amazing! It’s so delicious ! I never imagined this hidden duck shop in the alleyway would be so amazing and get discovered so easily. And what’s even more amazing is that the owner doesn’t even know which category their duck won the award for. We asked the owner earlier, and he said he didn’t know. I don’t know who came to eat, but I just won an award. I told them I didn’t know who came to eat, and they won an award! They have sauce, and this plate of duck seems to have their own special dipping sauce. Should I dip it in? I personally think it doesn’t need dipping sauce; the saltiness is already enough to make it fragrant. I love their skin! Their skin is so delicious! So amazing! I want to try it! It’s just stir-fried, and the smoked flavor is so delicious. I want to try it! Let’s pick up this piece from the top. I feel like the sauce is perfect with rice. This piece looks beautiful. It has a lot of skin and lots of garlic. I love their skin; it tastes like satay rice. This is so delicious! This is perfect with rice! It can be served with white rice! This is so delicious ! It’s not overcooked because some of the duck meat is… After stir-frying over high heat, the meat shrinks and releases its juices, but it retains its moisture very well, with the aroma of basil locked inside – it’s amazing! You absolutely have to order this. I think they’re experts at handling duck meat, so skilled! It’s so delicious, I have to applaud! Today’s Hsinchu Bib Gourmand food tour was fantastic , and I ate so much and was incredibly satisfied. All four restaurants we ate at today are new additions to the list this year. Our food-loving sisters have already checked them out and are giving you a rundown – see which of the four you like best! And each of them is quite close to the others – really close ! So grab a few friends and try a little something at each stop – it’s incredibly satisfying , don’t miss out! It’s been so long since we’ve had this! Let’s have a review ! Which of these four restaurants is your favorite ? I think they each have their own merits! At the first restaurant, I absolutely love their braised pork rice. As for the noodles, honestly, I didn’t find them quite to my taste. At the second restaurant, everything was delicious. Their rice noodles and fish maw were amazing! The third restaurant was a departure from my usual impression of braised noodles. At the fourth restaurant, I felt their meat was too tender . No, you’re being too neutral! You’re telling me the good points of every restaurant. I want to be a good person! From now on, we can only recommend one good restaurant per person . Okay, then I’ll say the braised pork rice. Okay, no problem . Well, it’s because I’m a taro lover, and honestly, that bowl of taro rice noodles at the second restaurant today was the best I’ve ever had! We had some truly exceptional taro rice noodle soup , and I think the shrimp ball bowl is definitely worth ordering ! Seriously, everything we sampled today was delicious . Remember, if you like it too, be sure to follow along ! Which city or prefecture will we be visiting next to sample more Bib Gourmand food? We don’t know yet , so remember to tune in to our channel! And we hope you ‘ll invite us to future food review programs ! Thank you ! We’ve filmed so many food programs , and we hope to gain even more experience, right ? We’re just asking you all! Okay, we, the Gluttonous Sisters, have to say goodbye now. See you next time! Thank you for watching! Bye-bye !
