【超希少】本物の温泉に入ったことはありますか?加水も加温も循環もしない100%源泉かけ流しの宿に行ってきた。海鮮食べ放題の熱海伊豆旅
I visited Atami, which was a bit early for the autumn leaves. I’ve been to Atami several times, but each time I come, I discover something new. Today, I’ll just enjoy the cityscape of Atami. I’m currently walking along Heiwa-dori Shopping Street, a popular street for eating things like hot spring manju. Today’s destination is Atami Osakana Paradise , the first all-you-can-eat sashimi restaurant in front of the station, where you can enjoy Atami’s seafood to your heart’s content. The restaurant mainly serves fish from Atami and Izu, and you can enjoy as much sashimi as you like, as well as fish soup, fried foods, and curry. Opening hours are from 10:00 to 15:00 , so it’s recommended to make a reservation. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere like a seafood diner, and since I came at opening time, it seems like it won’t be crowded and you can enjoy your meal at your own pace . Here’s the sashimi lineup: bigeye tuna , salmon, Mt. Fuji salmon, croaker bonito, and salmon roe. Each person can scoop up to 100g of salmon roe. Other dishes on the menu include tuna, fried fish, chicken karaage , and more. There were fried potatoes, grilled salmon belly, hot spring eggs, seaweed salad, and pumpkin salad, as well as pickles , fried eggs, seaweed salad, natto, seaweed curry, and miso soup . There was also a curry made with tuna broth, a rich seafood broth, and vinegared rice. I wanted to make a sushi parfait, and apparently it’s the Mt. Fuji Salmon Fair right now. Finished! My older sister used a small bowl for a seafood bowl, and my dad also made a sushi parfait . Finished! It looks great in photos! We also got some side dishes. Toast ! The paper aprons are interesting . There’s only one scoop of salmon roe, but we got a surprising amount. The fish is thick and filling. I made a sushi parfait to look nice, but it would have been easier to eat if it was made in a bowl. It’s quite difficult to scoop up the rice at the bottom. Of the sashimi, the Mt. Fuji salmon was the best. The side dishes were plentiful, so I enjoyed it without getting bored. For dessert, they had a small cake. Thank you for the meal ! Now that my stomach was full, I headed to my lodging for the night , where I was staying at Musoan, a detached inn in the forest cove, in Toi, Nishiizu. Loquat is a traditional Japanese hot spring inn with eight detached buildings, each with its own unique style, nestled in a forest cove overlooking the sea on the west coast of Izu. All rooms are equipped with an open-air bath with natural hot spring water, and the site covers an amazing 20,000m2 (approximately 19,600m2) of land, where nature has been left untouched and flowers of the four seasons can be enjoyed. Parking is right in front of the entrance. Those arriving by train can take the free shuttle bus from the Toi Onsen bus stop. When we arrived, the staff warmly welcomed us. The setting, with its heavy, thick beams, exudes presence , and the high ceilings create a space that exudes warmth and dignity. This is a modern Japanese space created by the warmth of the wood of an old Japanese house. This is the front desk. Check-in procedures are carried out here. We checked in leisurely while enjoying tea and sweets. The lady served us loquat jelly. The sweets I was given were filled with sweet potato paste and had a hearty taste. After checking in, I took a look around the hotel. There was a sweets service in one corner of the lobby. They were available until the morning, so you could have them whenever you wanted. There was a wide variety, from sweet cookies to snacks that go well with alcohol and nostalgic snacks. This inn won first place in the area and triple crown in the open-air bath, spectacular views, and free-flowing hot spring categories in the 2021 “Travel Japan Project.” The gift gallery was lined with sweets and alcohol. There was also a library in the back, with many books available. There were also skincare products from a brand that use human bone marrow stem cell culture fluid. Next , I headed to my guest room. Musoan Biwa has three maisonette-type guest rooms and five single-story guest rooms, for a total of eight detached buildings. There are four rooms on each of the upper and lower levels, and I’m staying in a room on the upper level. There is no elevator in the building. The entrance is quaint with dim lighting, and in keeping with the charm of an old-fashioned Japanese house, cute geta sandals with thongs are provided instead of slippers. The tatami living room with an irori hearth gives the atmosphere of a true adult hideaway. There are hanging hooks, and the wooden ceiling is also tasteful. The weather isn’t great today, but if the weather is good, you can see the sea over the fishing village streets. The changing colors of the sea quietly reflect the day’s travel mood. I ‘m playing hide-and-seek, blending in with the closet. The furnishings that give you a sense of good old life are also a highlight. The walls are made of earthenware with a lot of straw used, giving a sense of warmth and security. There is tea, snacks, a tea set , and a remote control here. There was only one room key. There was even a coloring set provided, with 100 colored pencils and a coloring book . It’s nice to have time to forget about busy everyday life and get absorbed in something. This is the bedroom. The bedroom at the back is a little dark even during the day, so you can sleep soundly at night. There is one reading light and an outlet next to the pillow. There is a loquat mark on the bedspread. There are bath baskets for everyone in the corner of the room, each containing two bath towels and two face towels. The hotel also has samue (work clothes) for children. The bathrobes look comfortable, but the haori are thick, It looks like we’ll be able to stay comfortable even in the coming cold season. There’s a beautiful lapis lazuli sink and a convenient actress mirror. The skincare is from the “MISUZU series” which uses human bone marrow stem cell culture fluid, so it’s great to be able to try out this popular brand in the beauty industry. The hairdryer is ReFa , and the amenities include mouthwash, cotton, a hairbrush, body towel, toothbrush, and everything you need. The shower room soaps are also from the MISUZU series, and have a pleasant, refreshing citrus scent. The weather wasn’t great on this day, but when it’s sunny, there’s an open-air bath where you can bathe while admiring the open view. The cypress bathtub is set on a spacious deck. The charm of this inn is its 100°C hot spring water that flows directly from the source without adding water, heating, or circulating. This genuine hot spring, untouched in any way, is the No. 1 hot spring in Japan. The only hot spring available is calcium-sodium sulfate-chloride hot spring. The temperature can be adjusted with this faucet. The open- air bath is connected to the terrace. There are chairs and garden beds on the terrace, so you can enjoy a comfortable bath after your bath. Because it is located higher than the main house, it offers a spectacular view of Suruga Bay. Next, we went to see the private baths. The private baths are on the third floor. There are two private baths, both of which require a reservation and are available free of charge. From 10 p.m., you can enter without a reservation if there is availability the next day. First, we went to “Kappa’s Order.” Towels and amenities are all provided, so you can come empty-handed. In addition to the water server, milk and coffee milk are also available, which are of course free. The refreshing white granite open-air bath is large enough for three people to comfortably fit in. The view from the hot water is truly spectacular. It’s exceptional to bathe in the open-air bath while gazing at the majestic nature of the sea and mountains. Next, we went to “Tengu’s Gourd,” an open-air rock bath filled with hot spring atmosphere. Toi Onsen is colorless and transparent, soft on the skin, and leaves your skin feeling moisturized after a bath. The chloride spring has excellent heat retention and moisturizing effects, and it is also characterized by the fact that it does not cool down easily . After relaxing in the private bath, it is time to enjoy some milk after the bath. This milk is from Ooki Dairy, a company in Toi, Nishiizu, which has been in business for over 100 years. It is made in a small factory and is a rare drink that can only be enjoyed locally. The coffee milk is an exquisite blend of the aroma of coffee and the gentle sweetness of freshly squeezed milk, and the mellow richness spreads in your mouth when you put it in your mouth, making it very delicious. We also had some sweets that we were given in the lobby. Dinner started at 6pm, which was a little late, so it was a relief that there were some sweets there ! In the end, we decided to eat just the two of us (lol). It was time for dinner. You can choose to start at 6:00 PM or 6:30 PM. You can enjoy a creative kaiseki meal in a semi-private room. You can stretch your legs and relax in a sunken kotatsu room. First, we ordered Shizuoka Beer. The hashisome had walnut tofu and figs. The appetizers were also delicious, with a wide variety of options. The chicken meatballs were wrapped in a chewy skin. It had a subtle yuzu scent and an elegant taste. For our second drink, we also had beer. We chose Numazu Lager and Shuzenji Heritage Helles. The seared Spanish mackerel had a fragrant skin, and the fat melted softly, releasing the rich flavor trapped deep within the flesh. The bluefin tuna was also delicious when eaten with seaweed salt. The high-quality fat melts on your tongue. Adding shiso leaves enhances the aroma, making it even more delicious. Steamed dishes: Lotus root buns, head-on shrimp, and simmered komatsuna. The freshly steamed lotus root buns have the soft, chewy texture that only lotus root can provide. While waiting for the hot pot to be prepared, you can choose one of four types of dried fish for breakfast. There was alfonsino, horse mackerel, saury, and barracuda. I chose two alfonsino and saury. I’m looking forward to tomorrow. The spiny lobster hot pot is ready. Adding a spoon gives off a faint shrimp aroma. The soup, which has been infused with the lobster broth, is very delicious. The firm flesh releases sweetness with each bite, and is an exceptional match with the rich soup. Shizuoka beef steak is served with local vegetables. The plate was cooked rare, and the juices oozed out the moment I took a bite, surprising me with its tenderness. The perfect rareness brought out the natural flavor of the ingredients, and paired with the wasabi, it was even more delicious. The fragrant aroma of the sakura shrimp rice wafted through, and the sakura shrimp flavor permeated every grain of rice. The rich, deep flavor of the akamashi miso soup brought out the sakura shrimp’s aroma while calming my mouth. For dessert, we had mango pudding, warabi mochi, pear, and melon. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was filling, and I was completely satisfied. Izu is truly a food paradise, with fresh seafood and even local brand beef. You can take home the chopsticks you used for your meal. It was a great memento of my trip. After the meal, I went to the open-air bath in my room and spent some relaxing time surrounded by the steam. Good night, good morning. It ‘s nice weather today. I soaked in the hot spring while watching the sunrise. Every time the steam rose, the breeze on my skin felt pleasant and I felt like I was one with nature. I could also see ships passing by on the other side of the sea. I had some time before breakfast, so I went for a morning walk. There is a walking path right next to the inn, and you can walk through the forest. Although it is called a walking path, it is a mountain path with many slopes, so I recommend wearing comfortable shoes. The inn as seen from the middle of the path. It’s a great place to feel nature. Musoan Guests can enjoy bamboo shoot picking in spring and loquat picking in early summer, and guests are free to participate. In summer, insect collecting is also possible, which children will enjoy. The ground was muddy due to yesterday’s rain, and it seemed we couldn’t go any further, but after walking for about 10 minutes, we reached an observation deck from which we could see the majestic Suruga Sea. It was breakfast time, so we returned to the inn. We found an acorn , and breakfast was served in the same private room as dinner. We could choose between 8:00 or 8:30. It was dark yesterday, so we didn’t notice, but we could see the beautiful sea. In the morning, we had a carefully prepared Japanese breakfast. The side dishes, each served in a six-corner basket, were a variety of small portions, and were served with Caesar dressing. We started with a crisp, fresh salad to wake up to the flavor of vegetables grown on the inn’s own farm. The inn serves freshly picked vegetables and fruits, cooked and served at the inn. Here we have ginger tsukudani, miso , pickled plums, cucumbers, and tuna. Onsen eggs, whitebait, and the dried fish we chose yesterday have also arrived. In addition to white rice, they also have easy- to-digest porridge. The miso soup is made with clams and dried saury. The dried golden-eyed snapper has a rich, concentrated flavor that only dried fish can offer, and is very delicious. The ganmodoki (tofu dumplings) have a tangy, spicy kick from the mustard, which adds a nice kick to the flavor. The mildly seasoned flavors, using local ingredients, made for a hearty breakfast. The wide variety of side dishes makes the rice go down incredibly easily. The dessert was refreshing , with fruit. It was time to check out. Check-out is at 11:00. Finally, we went to the “Forest Cove Detached Inn.” I’ll be sharing my impressions of my stay at Musoan Biwa and the accommodation fees on their official website. Prices start from 30,210 yen per adult for a room for two people, including two meals per night. Room-only rates start from 16,790 yen, and there are also last-minute discounts and other great deals, so be sure to check out their official website. Musoan Biwa is truly the perfect place for an adult’s hideaway. The detached accommodation, nestled on the side of a mountain, feels special, like you’re in your own private villa. The views are spectacular, and soaking in the hot water while admiring the magnificent sea and mountain scenery is the ultimate relaxation. The bottled milk from the local “Ooki Dairy” that I enjoyed after my bath was a nostalgic and comforting taste. A relaxing inn where the tranquility of nature, high-quality hot springs, and attentive hospitality are in harmony. Along with the sunsets of Nishiizu, this is a place you’ll want to return to. A detached inn in a forest cove. Details of Musoan Biwa are listed in the description section, so please check it out. Thank you for watching until the end.
