Here’s how this dish goes! Open the Spam, drain the liquid, take out the contents, and cut it into 3 or 4 pieces. Use the opened can as a guide to shape the rice into a Spam-like block. About 120g is just right. Mass-produce them. Once you make one, just follow the same method for the rest. Make a band out of nori (seaweed). Start frying the Spam. The level of browning depends on your preference. Keep frying continuously. Simmer soy sauce, sugar, and the drained liquid until slightly thickened. Add the Spam and coat it. Place the Spam on the rice and wrap it with nori (seaweed). Wrap it with plastic wrap. Spread some mayonnaise and add the sweet-and-spicy topping to make it teriyaki-style. Place it on top if possible. Let’s eat! I want to take a lot of these around Kagoshima. Try making Spam onigiri yourself!
