SUPER EASY MEATLESS MEATLOAF FILLED WITH CHEESE, SAUSAGE, AND VEGETABLES⎜VEGAN⎜GLUTEN FREE
[Music] hi everyone it’s time it’s time to start the holiday season’s recipes and I am so excited about that you have no idea look at my flowers over there I’m already decorating for Christmas and on this first episode we’re going to make vegan meatless meatloaf filled with some vegetables and a vegan sausage you are going to love because it’s super and expensive I have been researching good recipes but without breaking the bank and this is one of them but before I’m gonna ask you to subscribe to my channel hit the belt button so you got notified every time I make a new video and let’s go to the recipe now what I’m going to use for this recipe are two main ingredients to substitute the meat which is a TVP 2 which I have sauteed with dry as it is to which I have sauteed with tomato sauce any kind of tomato sauce just to rehydrate it while you are on a pot because you know that I don’t like rehydrating the TVP before cooking I like to do it all together because it tastes so much better and also soy sauce and the onions and that’s it and the other ingredient is I know you’re gonna say here comes the crazy banana peel lady but trust me this recipe works so well with both banana peels and the TVP you are not going to believe and here’s my a banana peels they are very Brown because I have put them on my processor post it like a five six seven times and – it was on these consistency and they are very Brown because of oxidation and here is let me show you with a spoon here is my soy protein my TSP already cooked and ready to go so we’re going to we’re going to take it in the oven and super easy all those steps that I did here both the banana peels and also the TVP it can be made ahead so you can make it freezing and not worry about it until the day you want to cook it all right and this recipe is super simple I have simplified it but we haven’t lost the flavor so that’s a very good thing so we’re going to mix they already cooked TVP with the banana peels and we are going to add some spices and the spices our oregano garlic powder it can be crushed garlic like natural garlic if you prefer I like for this recipe better the garlic powder and then quarter teaspoon trust me do this quarter teaspoon of garam masala you don’t have garam masala can beat on duty Mirza masala or you can also be curry powder it’s that kind of ingredient that if it’s not there you miss it but if it’s there you can pinpoint and tell what it is that it’s so delicious so do it and the dried sage onions salt pepper and the smoked paprika some breadcrumbs some cornstarch a teaspoon of our homemade vegan boo-yan remember we made it click there because it’s so delicious you are going to thank me later for that here it goes and flax seeds ground flax seeds with water all the quantities is going to be linked down below and they’re written in the description box also don’t below so don’t worry about that just pay attention and enjoy the video right now we can start by mixing like that with a spoon but we’re not gonna have a choice other than dig in with the hands because what do I say all the time hands are your best tools so let’s go I have been thinking since um July I think about the recipe what kind of recipe I’m going to make and I wanted to make something easy and I wanted to make something gluten free because those breadcrumbs are gluten free and I wanted to make something that it’s easy to put together and away from the good old site on you know and I have here bread loaf lined with a parchment paper as you can see and then I left a lot of the parchment paper so you can lift the meatloaf when it’s ready smart even it so here we go now transfer everything or you transfer half because we are going to add some delicious vegetables in between just because and the vegetables that I have here are cooked carrots green beans vegan cheese and those vegan sausages I was sure that I had a regular long ones but I didn’t so I’m using this ones that I use for appetizers because they are so delicious and then what you do you just line them [Music] and here I have some vegan mayonnaise and soy sauce that we’re going to add to give it some extra glazed golden brown color and then you brush it it looks a little bit too watery but it doesn’t really matter and now I’m going to take this baby to the oven and then for approximately 45 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit and then I’m going to show you how beautiful and delicious this is let’s go [Music] [Music] look at these how beautiful this is come on and how easy was it and what I like the most about these meatless meatloaf is that most of it you can make ahead and freeze it how about that and then when you want to put it together you just like put it in in your ball mix it up and voila already and this is it for today now these are barbecue sauce and the vinegar and ketchup glaze that I put last if you’re not going to serve it with the gravy then yachties but if you’re serving with the gravy you skip it because next week I’m gonna I’m going to teach you guys how to make a very easy and very tasty and very affordable gravy as well as a side dish for this and I see you next time Hello, my lovelies!
So here I have the first of many of my Holiday season recipes, made just for you! This year I have decided to recreate the main Thanksgiving and Christmas recipes and make them more affordable and simpler to make that any cook – beginner or advanced – can master and bring smiles to your guests and family faces and tons of compliments! Yes, much simpler and more inexpensive Holiday recipes but packed with gorgeous flavors and so beautifully presented, your friends and family will love you for that!
INGREDIENTS:
FOR THE TVP:
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
2 cups of TVP (textured vegetable protein)
1 small onion, minced
1/2 green bell peppers and 1/2 red bell pepper, minced
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
2 cups of tomato sauce
Water if needed
FOR THE MEATLESS MEATLOAF:
2 cups of greenish banana peels, finely minced or processed in a food processor (the pells of approx. about 6 large bananas)
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1 teaspoon of dry sage
1/2 teaspoon of dry oregano or dry thyme
1/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon of garam masala, or tandoori masala, or curry powder
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
4 tablespoons of ground flaxseeds diluted in 9 tablespoons of water
1 tablespoon of homemade vegan bouillon (recipe below)
1 cup of breadcrumbs
1/4 cup of cornstarch
Salt to taste
1 large carrot, cooked and cut lengthwise
Green beans, blanched
Vegan sausage
Vegan cheese cut lengthwise
Oil for greasing the loaf pan
FOR THE MAYO GLAZE:
3 tablespoons of vegan mayonnaise
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
FOR THE KETCHUP GLAZE:
3 tablespoons of ketchup
1/2 tablespoon of barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
METHOD:
Add the onions and the green and red peppers to a skillet with a tablespoon of vegetable oil, sauté for 2 minutes, add the TVP and the tomato sauce and cook until the TVP is soft and the tomato sauce water is gone, you should end up with a moist mixture, and not a wet and watery one. Reserve.
Add the remainder of the ingredients up until the salt, mix well until all is incorporated.
Grease a loaf pan, add the parchment paper with some extra paper left on the sides so you can lift the meatless loaf when it’s ready to be removed from the loaf pan.
Add half of your meatless meatloaf mixture
Add the vegan cheese, the green beans, the vegan sausages, and the carrots very tightly, preferably on top of each other
Cover with the rest of the mixture, be careful not to dislocate the vegetable filling.
Brush it with the mayo glaze mixture, then put the meatless meatloaf in a 375℉ preheated oven for 35 to 45 minutes.
Remove from the oven, then add the ketchup glaze. Wait about 15 minutes before removing the meatless loaf from the pan then place it onto a serving plate.
Garnish with the herbs of your preference and either grape, cherry tomatoes, prune, peaches, just use your creativity and make it pretty!
NOTES:
You can add a little bit of water or olive oil if you think your meatless meatloaf is too tough or too dry. If adding olive oil, do not exceed one tablespoon, if you think it is still dry, add some water.
I save the banana peels by freezing them every time I eat or use bananas for recipes, so that’s why I never waste any bananas
I have used greenish bananas for this recipe and, for this reason, I have not scraped the peel’s inner part, however, if you using yellow bananas, I advise you to scrape the peels white inner part to avoid the risk of any unwanted sweetness in your meatless meatloaf.
If you don’t want to use banana peels, you can easily substitute for cooked beans, cooked chickpeas, cooked lentils or even firm tofu. Just remember to drain the aforementioned legumes very well and to squeeze the water from the tofu so your meatless meatloaf don’t end up too soft and falling apart due to the excess water.

Hi jana can i omit mayo glaze and the soy sauce from this recipe
Do you have a link for us to make the TVP?
I am wondering if I can freeze the peels as I collect enough for the recipe and then defrost them a day before making this recipe?
Hi nana this is a amazing meatloaf hope you are doing well our beautiful friend thanks for sharing this with be awesome for Xmas like from us as always xxx
i love banana peel..
thank you for your recipe chef jana, i love it
Nailed the pronunciation on tandoori and garam masala 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
This can easily become "meatballs" in spaghetti, a stew, etc
Hi Jana awesome recipe!!! The vegan sausages you used did you make them or are they store bought?
TVP ? What's that ?
It holds together so well! I can't wait to try this recipe, I love sandwiches made from meatlessloaf.
Could you make a meatloaf with only the banana peels, bread crumbs, and flour?
I didn't read everyones comments but did she said what we can do with 6 bananas without the peel ?
What is a "meatless meatloaf"? – If you want to eat something that looks and tastes like meat, eat MEAT.
Thanks 🙂
Made it and loved it. So delicious! Thank you very much for all the great input. 🤗
I’m I correct with what I heard? I can freeze the banana peels?
You’re my favorite YouTube chef, Jana!
I do not know if poinsettias in Bazil are poison-free. Here in Germany poinsettias are poisonous for cats and dogs, one of my in-laws pets nearly died last year. So I would never have them near the pets.
❤️😋What is the name of your vegan sausages? What brand did you use ?
I think this one is good for "NOCHE VUENA" my dear Jana?
