How to Make Beef Stir Fry
hey everybody Welcome to learn cook.com my name is Chef Fernando moika uh what we’re going to make today is we’re going to make a beef stir fry um really easy to make we’re going to uh at the end of the video we’re going serve it up with a little bit of rice just to accompany the beef uh but it’s really easy to make it’s really fun what we have here as far as ingredients are concerned we have little obviously beef and while we using is we use flank uh you can certainly use seron any other type of beef uh but what you want to do is you want to cut it real real thin and against the grain um what that’s going to make against the grain is basically when you look at a beef uh you look some lines going across it that’s the grain you want to cut across that because that’s going to actually make it easier to chew make it uh more flexible once you’re actually eating it and chewing it so um we have um like say we have flank here we have vegetables for this one we have onions red peppers and green peppers we cut them into Julian or little strips uh we have a little bit of oil a little bit of garlic a little bit of sesame oil we also have a little bit of soy sauce and we’re also going to have a little bit of cilantro now the cilantro we’re going to use it at the end just for uh little bit a little bit of color a little bit of flavor too but you want to cook that at the end so what we have is we have a walk uh an Asian basically an Asian cooking uh sa if you don’t have that you can use use a regular saté pan that’s fine and what we’re going to do is we’re going to warm up the oil um warm up the walk we want to be careful when you do this um you want to make sure that it doesn’t start smoking when you do this so then we’re going to add the the beef and we’re going to let that beef do uh nice and uh Brown on both sides all right want to keep your flame H when you’re doing this I want to keep your flame H at all times but again you want to be careful so that you don’t Brown uh burn the the the meat when you’re doing this you want a a nice brown color all all around it uh but you don’t want it to burn now you want to let it sit there for a little bit until it starts to get nice and caramelized then you want to start steering it a little bit but you don’t want to con constantly steering it because you won’t let that caramelize so you want to stir it every couple of minutes but not you know not very constantly now once that’s about halfway do we’re going to add the vegetables and we’re going to uh let those sear and and uh start to and start saté start to caramelize a little bit oh along with the beef and you’re going to let that go for about 7 minutes until the the vegetables are nice and soft or nice and caramelized um you’re going to add a little bit after that you’re going to add the garlic and the oysters the soy sauce and the um sesame oil to that too to get some of that flavor out okay so the vegetables are starting to get uh nice and cooked the beef is almost there so what we do with this point is you want to very carefully remove all the excess uh fat and excess water that kind of Builds on the bottom of The Walker on the bottom of the pan uh that’s just natural fat that the beef releases so being very careful so that you don’t burn yourself you kind of want to empty that empty that house right so at that point you’re going to add the garlic and then you’re going to add the uh soy sauce and the sesame oil and you’re going to once again steer it up nice and uh even want to make sure the garlic doesn’t burn all right this is going to literally take about a minute or two uh because the garlic is cut so fine and the heat is so high that if you leave it a little too long you’re going to burn that garlic so once that’s ready we’re going to take it off the flame and uh we’re going to go ahead and plate it up with the rice that previously made okay so we have our uh B stir fry we have it took it out of the heat now remember we said we’re going to add a little bit of cilantro just for some flavor so what we’re going to do is just add some of that chopped cilantro Here and Now what we’re going to do is we’re going to add it and we’re going to mix it up a little bit we don’t want to cook the cilantro because it’s a fresh her it’s is going to want to lose his color but then also going to lose his flavor we just want some of that nice Aromas and the nice flavors on it all right so we add this at the very very last minute right before we’re getting ready to play so we’re going to toss it up toss it around with make sure that it’s nice and evenly distributed so once we have that remember we said we’re going to add a little bit of uh rice to our plate so we have our rice we’re just going to go ahead and plate up our our bit stir fry and then we can go ahead and enjoy it right after this so as you can see really simple really easy to make um very enjoyable nice full dinner uh so you can have a nice full dinner uh for the entire family individual so again thanks for joining us today I hope you enjoyed today’s presentation and uh again my name is Che Fernando moika with learnto cook.com and I’ll hope mmmm delicious
With all that smoke coming from the wok, the house is also going to smell like a bad mix of fast food deep fryer and a Chinese food. Everything in the kitchen will have a yucky coat of oil on it.
