アスパラ嫌いもやみつき!香ばしいグリルアスパラ【ヘルシー】Easy and Elegant Grilled Asparagus

Today we’re making wonderful grilled asparagus that even kids will love! First rinse the asparagus and trim the bottoms. Since we’ll be grilling them later, we’ll shorten the boiling time by 30 seconds. Add 1% by weight of salt to the water.
(that is about 1 teaspoon of salt per 2 cups of water) Once the water is boiling, let’s add the asparagus. We trimmed off the bottoms earlier, so let’s dip the stems first because they are thicker we’ll leave them for a while Boil for 30 seconds or up to 1 minute for thicker asparagus We’re just par boiling them. And they’re done! Remove from the water. No need to cool them with cold water. Okay, now, make sure to heat the frying pan well. The secret to making them delicious is to sear them in a hot frying pan. If you start cooking them in a low-temperature frying pan, it will take a while to brown and by the time it does, they’ll be limp and not very appetizing, so remember to cook them in a very hot frying pan I recommend using a cast iron skillet because it can get very hot. Okay. Now, the frying pan is hot, so let’s add some oil. You can use vegetable oil canola oil, or even pure olive oil (not extra virgin) for the grilling Spread out the asparagus and press it down a little with your spatula to help it brown. Flip it once and grill the other side. Okay, it’s done. Let’s plate and dress it! (criss-cross the asparagus for more dynamic plating) Already the asparagus is more delicious that just boiling. We’re going to take them up another level by grating a little lemon zest to really enhance the flavor, Use a microplane to sprinkle the zest. The zest of lemons contains more flavor than the juice. Let’s cut some slices of lemon and set them aside. Squeeze some lemon juice over the asparagus to brighten the flavor. Drizzle with olive oil. As a seasoning (not for frying) I recommend using a good extra virgin olive oil. And some delicious salt. I use fleur de sel as a topping salt. Some freshly cracked black pepper. And to finish it off, add some grated Parmesan Reggiano or Pecorino Romano. Any hard cheese will do. Sprinkle generously on top. Our grilled asparagus is done. Fresh asparagus with a refreshing lemon. The richness of the olive oil, and Parmesan cheese make for a delicious dish your family will love. It’s easy to make, so please give it a try.
