Haru no nanakusa gayu 春の七草粥 ハルノナナクサガユ Part1 japanese food
in Japan, we have a tradition to eat HARU NO NANAKUSA for breakfast on the 7th of January.
It is cooked within OKAYU (congee/porridge).
NANAKUSA means seven herbs.
It is believed that by having seven herbs on the day, we are prevented from any bad luck. It also to have a little break adjusting yourself by having a light meal from eating a lot during holiday seasons.
OKAYU (congee/porridge: grains cooked in soup) is also famous, as well as being eaten for a long time in a history in Japan.
OKAYU is also eaten when you are feeling sick.
HARU NO NANAKUSA are: SERI (Japanese parsley/Water dropwort), NAZUNA (Shepherd’s Purse), GOGYOU(
Cudweed/Cottonweed), HAKOBERA (Chickweed),HOTOKENOZA (Nipplewort/Lamium amplexicaule), SUZUNA (Small Turnip),
SUZUSHIRO (Small Radish/ Japanese daikon radish). It is consisted of herb looking vegetables of SERI, NAZUNA, GOGYOU, HAKOBERA, HOTOKENOZA , and vegetable
looking of SUZUNA, SUZUSHIRO.
A very healthy line up. The flavor is pretty simple, and lightly-salted. So yum! It is too simple that it might get you hungry soon.
So, added MOCHI (a rice cake) in OKAYU.
Please give a shot for NANAKUSA KAYU when you had a chance to experience the part of a Japanese culture. FYI, there is
AKI NO NANAKUSA (SEVEN AUTMUN HERBS) too! We will explain that later when it gets to the season.

May not be good at cooking. The process could be rough.
It is rather her own way of cooking. Yet, it is real. Real cooking of the Japanese female in her twenties.
Visuals
Willing to show the videos like documentaries. Hoping to broadcast the reality.
Strolling/Taking a walk
Could be blurry, but delivering the fact that Japan is such an awesome place.
