新鮮な野菜入りの風味豊かなイワシのパイ
a sardine pie to brighten your weekend. For this recipe, I will need two cleaned and boneless sardines. I am using these, but you can use whichever sardines you prefer, fresh or canned. One large chopped onion that will add flavor and juiciness to the filling. I put everything together. And here I have three small peppers, one chopped tomato, and half a bell pepper cut into small cubes. I do not add much bell pepper because I am already using the small peppers as well. I add parsley to taste which brings freshness and aroma. Parsley is a must. It gives a very special touch. Do not forget to add it because it enhances the flavor of the pie. Here I also add paprika and a little salt. The salt can be adjusted to taste depending on your preference. And now we mix everything very well to combine the flavors. If you want to use more sardines, you can add them with no problem. You can increase the amount if you want a pie with more filling. You can also adjust the seasonings if you like it with more flavor. Feel free to use the spices you have at home. This recipe is very flexible and easily adapts to your taste. In my case, it is already very tasty just like this. But you can taste and adjust if you wish. I like it exactly this way, well seasoned. Now, it is important to mix everything very well. This way, the sardines fully integrate with the seasonings. And while you mix, the large pieces break down, becoming smaller, so everything is evenly distributed. I already mixed everything very well. And look how beautiful the filling looks. Now I bring the bowl closer because I am going to add four eggs. I crack them right in here. And we beat the eggs very well until they are well incorporated. I already beat the eggs until they became foamy and homogeneous. Now I add all the sardine mixture to the bowl with the eggs. We mix everything again until well combined. This mixture is going to give an amazing result. You are going to fall in love with the flavor and texture. The result of this recipe is truly delightful. Once you try it, you will want to make it all the time. It is a quick recipe and very easy to prepare. Carefully pour all the mixture into the skillet. Level it a bit with a spoon so it spreads evenly. Then cover the skillet and turn on the heat. Remember, it should be low heat. I let it cook for 5 minutes with the lid on. Now I carefully turn off the heat. And we are going to flip our sardine pie. We use the same skillet so we do not dirty more dishes. Flip it carefully to cook the other side. Do it slowly so it does not break. We want it to stay whole and well presented. We put it back in the skillet carefully. Cover it again to finish cooking and leave it for three more minutes. That time is enough to brown the other side. This way it will be perfectly cooked inside and out. Now we can remove the pie from the skillet. I carefully place it on a large plate carefully so it does not break when transferring. And now I’m going to cut a good slice to serve. Look at this. It is delicious. I love making sardine pie here at home. It is a total hit. It is quick, delicious, and everyone likes it.
