Cambodia, this is the episode for you. We are in Panama Pen, Cambodia, and I’m staying outside of
the High Regency Hotel to try their Sunday lunch seafood buffet. This buffet looks really,
really good as well as really elegant. So,   I’m really excited to show you guys this
buffet and try for myself. So, let’s go inside. [Music] All right, guys. Here we are. We’re inside
of the High Regency Hotel at the Market Cafe uh lounge. And then actually this restaurant
has also inside and outside area. Look at   this area here. This is really cool. So, we’re
kind of stepping out here and it’s covered area, but you have natural light. On top of that,
you have an area over there uh kind of more   fine dining area. So, anyways, I’m really excited
to show you guys this buffet and show you what we get here at the seafood weekend buffet. So, let’s
get started. soda soda and ban inside. Lemons, lemon, lime soda. Welcome drink. All right, guys. Here it is. We’re going to start
off with some uh prawns, which look really good.   Also, down here, they have some crab. Look at
these little crabs. Look really good. Also, we have some chili. We have also the red chili
as well as the green chili. And then we also   have looks like razor clams and some snails.
Also, we have some uh crawfish. Look at that. We haven’t had crawfish in ages. And then we have
some muscles. Look at that. And uh down here, look at that. They call it the lobster, but this is
uh river prawns. Yeah, I think they call it river lobster here. Look at that. That’s a full plate.
Also, we have some calamanci. Yes, calamanci. Seaweed salad. Also, we have some oysters. We got some shallots, too. All right, guys. And then they have these
pre-made salads. We have the wing bean salad with beef. There’s some beef in there, huh?
Yeah. Look at that. [Music] Also, we have this looks like papaya salad almost, huh?
Prawns.  With prawns. Yeah. Look at that. That looks really
good. Also, we have a pomelo salad. Wow. Also, we have another salad here. It’s regular salad.
And then we have some uh peppers. Yeah. Got some cheese stuffed cheese on it.
Stuffed cheese peppers. Oh, wow. Fancy. Also,   we got some mozzarella balls there, too. Also got
some salad dressings. All right. And then we have the charcuterie . Look at that. We have chorizo.
We also have paris ham. Also have pork modalia. Also we have some cheeses and some
nuts. Ooh, we got the kite cheese. Also, I don’t know these cheese. I’ve never
heard them before. Cheese. Yeah, I guess they’re French. That looks like a
bree to me. Tamore. I can’t pronounce the other word. That cheese. Here, guys. This is what
it says. I can’t pronounce that word. Anyways, yeah, we’ll go ahead and give that cheese a
try, too. And then they have some walnuts,   pistachios, cashews, almonds. Look at that.
Is that a mascot grape? Oh my gosh. I’m going to pick up a few olives. Look at this. Look at
this spread, guys. All right, guys. And also, we’re going to pick up some roast beef
here. Nice roast beef. Look at that. [Music] Also, we have looks like pepper sauce. Always goes
good well with roast beef. Also, looks like we got mango salsa. Look at that. That’s some chili
sauce, tamarind sauce, bean sprout, and tomato. Also, they have some sea bass down here. Whole
baked sea bass. Look at that. [Music] Let’s get some mango salsa for that sea bass. That’s a good
combination. [Music] Nice. All right. Then they also have the eggs benedict. Look at that, guys.
I didn’t expect to see eggs bended on the menu. And then they also have creamy
mushroom soup. There you go. All right, guys. We are inside of the High Regi
Hotel to try their Sunday seafood buffet. And here it is. Take a look. As you can see,
guys, we have an assortment of wonderful   seafood here along with some sauce. On top of
that, we also have some fresh salad over here. And then we also have oysters on a half shell.
Look at that. Looks amazing. And also we got   some charuri and also we have our wonderful
roast beef and also eggs bendig. All right, here we go guys. We’re going to get start with
this roast beef. Look at that roast beef looks a   little bit more medium. I’m going go ahead and get
this a cut and then we’re going to go ahead and um get some of this uh pepper beef. I’m
sorry, pepper gravy on here. There we go, guys. There it is. This is the roast beef. I’ll
do a quick dip here in the pepper gravy. That looks really thick. All right, guys. First
bite here. Roast beef with pepper gravy. Wo, that pepper gravy. Spicy. That’s like
the first time I’ve had like spicy pepper gravy. Also, the roast beef is has a
good firm chew. I definitely like my um roast beef a little bit more on the medium
rare side. This is a little bit more medium. Well,   so that’s why a little bit tougher, but
still good flavor though. All right, guys. Here it is. Sea bass with mango salsa.
This looks really good. One thing I noticed, they roast actually whole sea bass in the oven
here in Cambodia. So, here we go. Oh, yeah. Sea bass. Light and flaky. Wonderful. Mango salsa. If
you guys know white fish, right, they just tend to have like less flavor, but with the mango salsa,
it really helps it out a lot. Really good. All right, guys. Here we got the mushroom
soup. Let’s give this mushroom soup a try. Oh, that’s very mild mushroom soup. I
was expecting like a lot of like cream flavor as well as more mushroom flavor, but
this is a very mild mushroom soup. But it’s   good though. All right, here it is, guys. The
eggs benedict and um this has a poached egg as well as some ham and looks like the biscuit on
the bottom. All right, let’s give this a try. Oh, look at that. Has the runny
yolk. Beautiful porch egg. Oh, yeah. Oh, look at that egg. Oh my gosh.
This gets me excited just for this egg, guys. Wonderful poached egg, ham, and a
biscuit in the bottom. Uh, eggs. Here you go. Oh my god, that was a good bite. Wow.
The flavors work so well together. This might be an English muffin. I’m not 100%
certain, but yeah, the flavors of the saltiness   of the ham and this egg is just perfectly
poached. Wow. Oh man, I’m a fan of this one. This is one of those things I would probably go
back and get again on buffet on a normal day. Also, guys, they gave a complimentary
drink here. Some kind of a lemon drink or lime drink. I think it’s lime. Here you go. It has kind of like almost like also like
a floral note to it as well. But yeah,   just kind of refreshing lime drink. Really
nice. All right, we’re going to try some of this shakurerie. All right, and we have some
of this uh Paris ham, I think it was. And I’m actually going to try it with soft cheese.
There you go. All right, here you go. Paris ham. M. That cheese is really good. That Paris ham
combination with cheese. Oh my god. That perfect. Wonderful. I also got black olive. Oh, by the
way, you guys got to let me know when you go to the buffets. Do you guys go to the chakuri board
and get different kinds of meats and cheeses? I   know I think I mentioned this in the buffet
a while back, but these are kind of the more expensive things on the buffet that people don’t
really think about. So, I tried to go to the area   where I get the meats and cheeses on the buffet.
You know what? Let’s try some of this chisso. I got a little bit of cheese over here. A little
bit of chisso. There you go. Big fan of chiso. M. Oh man, that’s so good. Has
a little bit of sweetness to it,   too. So, having this like salty cheese and chiso
together, really good combination. All right, guys. Let’s get this seafood piece started. I’m
going to go ahead and start with this big river   prawn. Guys, this river prawns are huge here,
guys. Look at this river prawn. It’s a beast. All right, let me go ahead and tear it off here.
Got some of the wonderful juice there. Tell you what, I’m the biggest fan of river prawns, guys.
I like these actually more than I do with the shrimp. I think they’re more plump, more juicy,
and have more flavor. So, if you give me a choice between river prawn or shrimp, I’ll go river
prawn every day. And we have the green dipping sauce here. All right, let’s give this river
prawn a try. Green dipping sauce. Here you go. M has kick to it, but also has
a little bit of sweetness to it,   too. This is definitely different from that
the dipping sauce in Thailand. All right, I’m going try this muscle. I’m put a little bit
of this uh green chili sauce here. The muscle.   Give this a try. Muscle is always tricky to
get out. Muscle with the green chili sauce. M. Oh, that’s really good. Wow. That’s one thing
I love about Asia and their seafood here and the buffets. Really fresh seafood. Let’s try some of
this crab. It’s a little crab, but a lot of meat. Let’s see if I can get some of this uh crab meat
out of here. Oh, look at that, guys. See that? All right, let’s just try this by itself. Oh yeah, guys, this crab meat is sweet. It’s
really good. One thing about these crabs, they made it small, but the meat that’s inside is
really sweet and tender. Really yummy. [Music] And it still has more meat in here. [Music] M.
Oh, very nice. If you guys are crab lovers, of course, it’s worth the, you know, effort
to get this crab meat out. All right, let’s   see if I can get one of these snails out of here.
There you go. Little snail. All right. And also, we’re going to dip in some dipping sauce here.
All right. Give this snail a try. One thing about sea snails, guys, the texture is like squid.
Also, it’s a just kind of a neutral flavor. So, you add that with your um seafood sauce, it
tastes really good. All right, guys. Here it is.   We have the oysters on a half shell. Look
at that. Also, we have some red chili sauce. I’m going to put a little bit on there with the
shallots. Fried shallots. There we go. All right, let’s get this uh oyster out of here.
All right, let’s give this oyster a try, guys. That is such a clean flavor. Also, great
combination with the spicy sauce, the shallots. Oh my gosh, that’s a great combination. One
thing about oysters, I like it plump, juicy, and also not too fishy, right? No fishy flavor
whatsoever. It’s a really clean flavor. Good oysters. I’m kind of really impressed with the
oysters here in Cambodia. This is like we’ve had   oysters on different buffets before. And these
oysters really good quality as well. All right, guys. Here it is. Then we got this beef salad
with some herbs. Look at that. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I kind of work backwards on
my birthday eating. I always start with the main   entree and then work my way to the appetizers and
the salad. So, but here you go. A beef a salad. Oh, that is really good. And it’s such a
refreshing salad. But the beef here, guys, more tender. This is like the roast beef, but it’s
more tender than the roast beef I had earlier. Seriously, roast beef salad. Really good. So this
is pomelo. So it’s like a grapefruit. I’ve never had pomelo with squid before. [Applause] All
right. So let’s try this pomelo squid salad. It’s less citrusy than a grapefruit. It’s a
pomelo. So it’s very very a mild and citrus flavor. I think this is probably a perfect
blend so you don’t have that over citrus   power with the squid. And then finally,
we have this papaya salad with some prawn. One thing about this um salad, it’s not like
a typical Thai papaya salad. This is more of a milder flavoring of salad. Less less sauce
I guess to it. So very refreshing salad. Also, you can taste the prawns and you can
also taste the papaya more. Guys,   having a wonderful time here so far. All the
food, top-notch food is really good. And we still have round two to get. So, I’m going to go
ahead and finish this up. But in the meantime,   perfect opportunity to smash the like button,
subscribe, and we’ll see you in round two. [Music] All right, move on to round two, guys. Oh,
let me go ahead and show you this real quick.   This is the kids buffet. So, they have
fresh squeezed juices here and also a carrot juice. On top of that, they
have uh looks like some French fries, salmon teriyaki, some chicken nuggets. You
go. This is the kids area, too. All right, guys. Second round. We’re going to start off with
some pasta. And they had this pasta made. I don’t know what it’s called, but it looks
pasta with the seafood cream. So,   a pasta with seafood cream sauce. Also, they
have looks like they have some other stuff you can put on top of that. Red onions.
Is that cilantro maybe or parsley? Oh,   also they have some parmesan, too. Very nice.
Hi. Hello. Welcome back to our second. And here’s some of the stuff we missed the
first round. We have a little bit of the pork stroganoff. All right. Then also, we have
some of this Norwegian roasted salmon with teriyak sauce. Then we have crispy chicken and
it comes along with some Sriracha ioli. Then we have some roasted sweet potato. And then finally,
we have some of these roasted vegetables. [Music] All right, guys. And also over here,
we’re looking at the Cambodian fried rice.  That’s shrimp.
Oh, there squid and shrimp in there. Yeah. Very nice. Also, we have some uh looks like
gylon. Yep. With garlic and oyster sauce. And then we have some chicken ka. And then over here, we
have some deep fried salmon head with a teriyak. And then we also have some spicy
prawn and coconut h curry. [Music] And then finally, we have some steamed fish down down here, guys. They have some
beef sour soup. There you go. All right, guys. They also have some uh
saté, grilled chicken saté. Also, looks like they have some also chicken down
here as well. Roasted chicken. Over here,   they have some sauce. Tamarind sauce. Uh
non brick. Huh. Happy birthday to you. All right, guys. And they also have some noodles
that you can make here. Can I get some sushimi? There we go. All right, guys. Got some fresh
salmon sushimi. Also look made some mackerel. And also, we got some tuna. Look at that. Thank
you. All right, guys. Look at that. Very nice. All right, guys. Here is the bread station, too. So,
if you want some breads, they have a selection   of different breads. Oh, I love croissant.
That looks really pretty croissant. They also have honeycomb here, guys. Look at that. And then
honey is melting. And it’s coming down here. Oh, look at that. Look at that French pastry. Oh,
chocolate.  Yeah, chocolate croissant. Wow, that looks really
good. Okay, we’ll try that, too. All right, guys. We’re moving on to the second round. And look what
I got. We got selection of Asian food over here.   And also, we have a selection of Western food over
here with some pasta. And also, we got a sashimi. And then we finally had this French croissant,
chocolate croissant. I had to pick it up because you know what? It looks so good. And I typically
don’t have bread on a buffet, but that croissant   was just calling my name, so I had to get it.
But anyways, let’s go ahead and get started with some of this Asian food. All right, guys. I’m
going to go ahead and start off with this salmon   head. Look at this, guys. And the salmon head has
teriyaki sauce on it. Oh my gosh. Look at that, guys. Flaky salmon is all right guys. Here we go.
Salmon head. Oh wow. That’s really good. Wonderful teriyak flavor. The salmon also very flaky. Oh,
really good. Next, I’m try this chicken saté. I put some of this green chili sauce on it. [Music]
Oh wow, guys. This is really good. The chicken saté, it’s freshly grilled and it’s super tender.
Typically, you know, with satates or skewers, it’s hard to get off the skewer. This is so
easy to get off the skewer. Oh my gosh, so good. See that? All right, let’s try some of this
kungpow chicken. Look at that, guys. I have yet to see kungpow chicken here in Asia, so when I
saw it, I had to give it a try. Here you go. Wow. All right. It’s really good. One thing about
kungpow chicken, guys, for me, you have to   have it spicy, right? And this kungpow chicken is
spicy. Great, great kungpow chicken. Oh my god, that was so good. So glad I picked up this
kungpow chicken. All right, guys. We also had some coconut curry with this prawn. Also,
we have some of the fried rice. And this fried rice is Cambodian fried rice. Comes with squid and
shrimp. So, I’m going to go ahead and mix up some of this curry sauce. See the squid? That’s squid.
I’m going to mix up some curry sauce with this um Cambodian fried rice. There you go. All right.
Fried rice. [Music] That curry have coconut curry, but also has kind of the lemongrass
flavor, too. So, wonderful curry drink. Also guys, this place really really elegant. Also,
the ambiance here is so nice. It feels so luxury, right? But seriously guys, I came to the high
regency and a tuk tuk and I’m here in kind of like a t-shirt and also flip-flops. It’s kind of like a
really relaxed environment, but at the same time, it’s a really high class kind of restaurant, too.
Also, this hotel, guys, is really family friendly. They have a separate section over there. they have
for the children’s buffet and they have the kind   the little French fries and chicken nuggets and
whatnot. Also, they have face painting over there, guys. So, they’re actually have someone out
here doing face painting and also they have   this gentleman that’s dressed up like clown also
doing like um balloons, balloon figures and also they have live music and I’m sure you can probably
hear in the background these artists are really   good singers. On top of that, the staff here,
they’re very friendly. They treat us really well and inviting and also we got a chance to
come here first and take a video of the place   before they opened up. So, it was really nice to
get an opportunity to kind of get a clean shot of the buffet. But, um, let’s go ahead and move on to
my second plate here. Okay, guys. I think this is   a seafood pasta. Has some shrimp. Look at that. It
kind of reminds me of a kind of maca cream sauce. All right, guys. Here it goes. Pasta. [Music] Very
similar to a vodka cream sauce flavor. And we know this flavor well because we used to make vodka
cream sauce a lot back when we live in the states.   Really good. [Music] All right, guys. Let’s go
ahead and try some of this uh pork stroganov. You see that mushroom there? You got some
onions. Yeah, this pork stroganov looks really   good. [Music] The sauce, the stroganoff sauce
tastes really good. At the same time, I think I prefer beef stroen off. All right, we have fried
chicken with Sriracha aioli. Let’s give it a try. Oh, you hear that crunching chicken?
Very crunchy. This is not your typical fried chicken. It’s more like um more cream fried
chicken. Really crunchy batter. The chicken side, really tender. Really good. All right, guys.
Here we go. We got some uh baked salmon. Oh, it’s pretty flaky. Here you go, guys. Salmon
teriyaki. [Music] Oh, that’s super tender. Yeah, their seafood here is really good. All right,
guys. And let’s go ahead and try some of sashimi. Now, they had the sushi rolls there earlier,
but uh we went there in the second round,   so a lot of the sushi rolls were gone. But the
same time, I typically don’t eat sushi rolls. I eat sashimi anyway, so it’s perfectly fine. All
right. So, take some of this uh wasabi here and look at this big cuts of tuna sashimi. Dip it in
some of this soy sauce. All right, guys. This is a big cut of tuna sushi right here. Oh. Oh, wasabi
strong. You think I learned by now? Whoa. Yeah, that was kind of overpowered the sushimi.
Woo. Really strong. I think I’m going to not use it next time. Let’s go ahead and try
some of this uh salmon jashimi. Oh my gosh, that wasabi just went up my nose. Here you go. No,
that’s better. Wasabi way too strong. All right, guys. Here it is. Chocolate croissant. Now,
typically don’t get bread on my buffets,   but this chocolate croissant was calling my name.
And also, if you guys are familiar with Cambodia, it was colonized by the French. So, they have
a lot of French pastries here that are really   good. So, I couldn’t pass this up. Let me
go ahead and show you guys this chocolate croissant. Flaky that croissant looks. See that?
Oh my gosh. Looks so good. So good. There it is, guys. Look at that. This is beautiful chocolate
croissant, right? Give it a try. [Music] Wow. Oh my gosh. It’s so good. Look at this. You see how
light and flaky that is? Oh my gosh, guys. This is so good. Oh my gosh. It’s croissant. So buttery.
And that chocolate inside is really, really good. Oh, look at all the layers in there. That is
amazing, guys. I’m so glad I did not pass this up. This is such a great chocolate croissant.
It’s been ages since I had a croissant. So,   this is really, really good treat. But, all right,
we’re going to finish up the rest of this food and then move on to our final round, which is
the dessert round. So, stay tuned. By the way, if you find yourself traveling internationally
and thinking about getting data for your travels,   check out the link in my description box for my
preferred eim with a discount code. All right, guys. We’re moving on to the dessert round.
And looks like they have some like melons as   well as some marshmallows for dipping into this uh
chocolate dip. Also, we have some mashed pumpkin with coconut. Also, we have coconut jelly. Look at
that. We have some chocolate with some nuts on it. Yeah. Another nuts and dried fruit on there. That
looks really good. Green tea calamani cake. Look at that little thing. It’s cute. Also, we have
black forest cake. Yes, we’ll try one of those. Yeah, these like little cakes. You just give a
little couple bites. We have green tea raspberry   cake. Also, we have this chocolate layer
cake. Wow. Also, we have a apple crumble part. I don’t know what that’s back there behind it.
What is this?  Floating island.
Floating island. Is that marshmallow? Um, it’s wine. Oh.
Huh?  Egg white.
Egg white. Yeah. Floaty. Can I try that one? Yeah. Floating island. Okay. Thank you. Look
at that, guys. It’s called a floating island. It has egg white. Like a
What’s that thing though?   Merang. Yeah, this is like a meringue.
So, we have a raspberry chocolate mousse. Also, we have green tea chocolate Swiss roll. We have
a chocolate wacky cake. And then we have a yogurt panakota. That looks really good, too. And then
over here, guys, they have some fresh fruit. We have some uh watermelon, dragon fruit, as well
as some papaya. Over here, they have a waffles. Look at that, guys. And they also have looks like
crepe. Is this crepe? A crepe along with some You got some toppings here. Nutella, peanut butter,
chocolate, strawberry jam, chocolate sauce, and   honey. I think I’m going to try crepe. Wow. There
you go. Wonderful. Great. Thank you. What’s that? Matcha ice cream.
Matcha ice cream. Wow. Looks great. Just   a little bit of strawberry jam and some chocolate.
Vanilla ice cream. [Music] I’m going kind of backwards, guys. I should put the ice cream on
there first. Thank you. All right, guys. The final   round is the dessert round. And look what I got.
We got assortment of little mini cakes along with some chocolates and apple crumble. And over here
we have a crepe with some vanilla ice cream. All right, guys. I think we should try some of this
uh crepe with the vanilla ice cream first cuz   it’s looking like the ice cream is melting quite a
bit. I also put some strawberry jam on here along with this chocolate crepe. Oh. Whoa. It’s really
slippery. All right, let me go ahead and see if I can get some of this crepe off here. A little
bit of vanilla ice cream on there. All right, here it is. like crepe with the chocolate
syrup, strawberry, and some vanilla ice cream. Oh, it’s so good. One thing I like
about this crepe, it reminds me kind   of kind of a Japanese style crepe. So, it’s
really soft and tender. Also kind of like chewy. Little bit of vanilla ice cream
on there. This is the perfect dessert. Mhm. But before this ice cream melts, also I
have apple crumble. So I’m put some apple crumble and vanilla ice cream together. There you go,
guys. Apple crumble with the vanilla ice cream. This is the way to do it. I don’t know about you, but whenever you
have apple crumble, vanilla ice cream,   you have to have it on there. It just makes
it such a good blend of flavors. How’s those apple comb? This is really good. You go. This is
just apple comb by itself. Look at that. Yeah, this is yummy. Look at those
cute little chocolates they   had with the nuts and dried fruit on
there. It’s a good one bite dessert. This buffet, guys, I don’t know if I told you,
but the buffet itself is $48 per person. But if you check their website, there actually is a
special pricing with Sunday buffet and that’s two for one deal. So if you buy two, you get one for
free, right? So it’s half off basically. Wonderful deal. Also, the manager stopped by and we talked

have to do is check their website to see if   the promotion is going on. So, if you decide

be getting the two for one deal. All right,   guys. She called this the floating cloud. And um
when I asked what it was, she said it’s a egg. So, it’s like a meringue on top here. It’s floating on
top of the sauce. So, let’s try this out. Look at that. This is a cream sauce. Got strawberry there.
All right, let’s try this uh floating cloud. adds the very delicate
almost a very slight sweetness. Yeah, a very delicate sweet cloud. It’s like
not too strong at the same time. I mean,   it’s still good. It tastes yummy, but at the same
time, it’s a very delicate sweetness. All right, then we have the black forest cake. Look at
that, guys. Here we go. Black forest cake. I like it when they have the like these
little cakes where you can just try, you know,   one bite or two bites. That’s all you need.
Now you can try a variety of different cakes, you know, versus have, you know, one
big cake, right? And then finally, guys,   the buffet here has no time limit, too. So,

  1. This buffet normally goes for $48 USD per person, but I got this buffet on special for BOGO free deal. That is $24 USD for each person. Watch the video till the end or check out the description box to see how we got this deal. $24 USD for this 5 Star hotel buffet, do you think it's worth it?

  2. Another spectacular beautiful lovely piece of work street food travel blog posts and eye-catching beautiful colorful settings presentation camera work as always and beautiful settings presentation yummy tempting delicious mouthwatering culture recipes and thanks from Canada ! ..

  3. Looks disappointing compared to the Filipino buffets you visited! NuStar in Cebu that you reviewed blows this away. Food looks overcooked (that roast beef was "dead" )and too much dairy in the soup and sauces. I love your reviews, but this seemed too nice. Mark from DC

  4. If they label river prawns as lobster, I wonder what the roast beef is actually? Will give it a miss

  5. Surprise to papaya salad or anything pickles/brined so far away from the satay meat. We typically have them with grilled or skewered meat/ fish with pickled or brined vegetables.

  6. Wow Cambodia?! Thats awesome. Cambodia have gone a long way. Proud of Khmer. Its a surprise to me they have a buffet. Thank you for sharing. Everything looks amazing!
