This time I would like to share with you my stay at “Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach” where I stayed for the second night of my trip to Hawaii. Alohilani Resort is conveniently located along Kalakaua Avenue and a short walk to the beach.

The hotel is getting a lot of attention as it was reborn in 2018 after the renovation of the Pacific Beach Hotel. The hotel has a total of 839 rooms in two buildings, the Beachside Tower and the Seascape Tower. It is the largest hotel in Waikiki.

The hotel was almost fully booked during the consecutive holidays in July, and I felt a lot of demand from within the U.S. When you enter the entrance, the front desk is right in front of you. The lobby floor is open with high ceiling…

You can also choose to call and get Japanese service, but it is hard to get through, so I feel it would be smoother to call in English if possible. Personally, when I think of Alohilani, I think ocean view! Actually, I completely screwed up my reservation this time (cries).

I will also give you more details about the type of rooms. First, I will start with a handsome room tour of the “Diamond Head Ocean View” where I stayed this time. The size of the room is 330 sq/ft (about 31sq/m). You can choose from one king bed or two queen beds.

Diamond Head Ocean View” is just as the name implies. The view of both Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach is breathtaking. The lanai is furnished with two chairs and a table. Rooms are decorated in beige and white tones, creating a simple, modern, and relaxing atmosphere.

Considering the contrast with the ocean seen from the window, it is understandable that the interior is simple. Not many months have passed since the renovation in 2018, so the water system is clean and ◎ It seems that even within the same category, some rooms have a bathtub and some do not.

I was told that the amenities were Marie Organics, but they have changed to a natural skin care brand called “LATHER”. The shower is a rain shower type. Refrigerator and drawers under TV. The miniature refrigerator is empty. There is more storage space, so even a mid-term stay will be comfortable. Here’s the espresso machine!

There were also two bottles of water. Check the closet! Safety box and baggage rack There’s an iron and ironing board, and plenty of room for hangers. I mentioned at the beginning of this article that you “failed to choose the right room. I was originally going to reserve the “Premier Ocean Front” room.

I had reserved “Ocean View” by mistake, but I changed it when I checked in. Ocean front rooms are already fully booked, so I stay at “Diamond Head Ocean View” this time! I feel happy to see the room with a view of not only the ocean, but also Diamond Head side.

Next on the room tour is the gym and pool area. We’ll start with the fitness center on the third floor! It is free of charge for guests and open 24 hours a day.

The spacious gym is lined with a wide variety of machines. I ended up using the treadmill as usual, but it felt like a waste… lol By the way, there is even a tennis court on the 9th floor. It is indeed a large hotel. Next, let’s go to the pool!

The infinity pool on the 5th floor of the hotel was named by the American fashion magazine In Style in 2018. It was chosen as one of the 10 most Instagrammable pools. Open from 9:00 to 22:00, it is open surprisingly late.

First thing in the morning it was quiet and there were few people. By noon, the crowd gradually grew! Swell Bar opens at 10:00 am. They also have a happy hour menu from 4:00-6:00 pm on Monday~Thursday. Pool cabanas can be rented for a fee, available only for guests (10:00~17:00).

Weekday…$200 + $100+ food/drink + gratuity / Holiday…$300 + $150+ food/drink + gratuity Both available for up to 5 people! Not many people were in the pool that day due to strong winds. Around noon, there were a few people here and there relaxing and grilling in this sofa area.

From the infinity pool, you can see Waikiki Beach and palm trees, certainly photogenic! If only the weather were nicer! (lol) It’s also a little cloudy on this day, but if you’re looking for sunshine, sofa seating or the beach might be better than the pool.

On the contrary, I don’t want to get baked by the sun! I think this pool is a good place for those who don’t want to get baked by the sun. I went for a walk in the morning to buy some medicine. The first floor of Seascape Tower contains stores and restaurants.

It is still early in the morning, so many stores are closed. Some stores are temporarily closed, so it is recommended to check before actually going there. There is an ABC Store on the first floor of the hotel. For your information, this store is open from 7:00 to 23:00.

They also sell wine, beer, and other alcoholic beverages, so you don’t have to worry if you are short of something during your stay… I found the Neosporin I was looking for! By the way, this is a medicine to apply when you are injured or something.

I can’t stop looking at the cosmetics section of ABC store, can I? Now that I have purchased what I need, it’s time for my morning coffee. O Bar” on the first floor of the hotel is open in the morning as “Kai Coffee” from 5:30 to 11:30.

Speaking of Alohilani! The huge aquarium. Tropical fish were swimming in this handsome tank. Kai Coffee in the hotel is also located along Kalakaua Avenue. The other store is open from 6:00 to 17:00. The menu looks like this.

By the way, Kai Latte (Small) is $6 now, but it was $5 in 2017. I could see this time that prices have gone up in Hawaii too… Light snacks such as croissants, cookies, pound cake, fruit, etc. Coffee beans and original cups are also available.

I started acai bowl. I found Japanese and I’m kind of happy lol Kai Coffee’s signature latte “Kai Latte” with macadamia nuts is ordered. It was easy to drink with the flavor of macadamia nuts and a hint of sweetness, perfect for the morning ♥

The hotel has over 800 guest rooms, so check-in and check-out is often crowded. It would be smooth if you could stagger your check-in and check-out time by using late check-out service. How was your stay at Alohilani Resort? Look forward to seeing you again in the next video!

2泊目に宿泊したのが、ワイキキビーチにも程近い『アロヒラニリゾートワイキキビーチ / Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach』。

実は今回のハワイ、最初の二泊のホテルはギリギリに予約をため、どこも満室だったりものすごく高い部屋しか空きがなく驚きました(笑)アメックスのサイト経由でオーシャンビューかつ、お得に泊まれそうだったのがこちらのアロヒラニリゾート。

リゾート地でのホテル選び。オーシャンビュー、オーシャンフロント、パーシャルオーシャンビューなど、結局どれがいいの？って思ったことありませんか？(笑)

実は今回、お部屋のカテゴリ選択を失敗するなんて若干のトラブルもあり。その辺りも詳しくご紹介していきます。

ギリギリで急いでいたとはいえ、ちゃんと確認すればよかったーと反省しています(笑)そんな失敗談も交えてご紹介できればと思います！
