Fruit-Nut Turkey Stuffing Demo
You CAN go beyond Stovetop- it’s easier than you think!
Hope you are all having a happy Christmas.
Ingredients:
5 slices stale whole grain bread
3 stalks celery
1 med-large onion
1 large garlic clove
1 c fresh of 1/2 c dried cranberries
1 can unsweetened chestnuts
water from chestnut can or a add a little water to moisten mix
1/2 tsp savory
you can also add some chopped scallions
You can substitute any fruit and nuts for the above combo. fresh cranberries taste a little tart in the stuffing. They were good but i do prefer dried ones after all.
Good choices are apple-walnut or apple-pecan, apricot-walnut, date-walnut, pear and almond, or any such combo. You could really use any combo that you think would taste good, even pistachios and raisins. But if you are using a very sweet fruit like dates or raisins, you might want to use less than with cranberries or it might be too sweet.

I know there's war in Isreal so what happened to Mary, I know shes pure and innocent, was she kidnapped and held hostage? Maybe she decided to go fetch a pale of water instead! Your mother looks well as always! Im shocked shes never made a turkey before though!
"Ok, let's taste it… ———-> the Barbarian Way!" 08:59 – Brother, I'm so proud of YOU!! LoL
And by the way, your "nativity scene's tales" almost killed me!
Is that "Celtic Woman" on the stereo from 06:00 on? Wonderful vibe added to your feast 😉
I sincerely wish you and your family all the best for this coming new year. To each and everyone of this "youtube community". Take care, my friends.
You dressed up Joseph like a woman and then his hands fell off?
Turmeric will do the same as the curry on the color. Looks great!
@thetruthergirls – Wow! $20 for a 7lbs turkey? In New Jersey(southern), I got a 14 lbs for $23! Guess maybe it's good to be in the country…. glad tidings to you and yours!
Merry Christmas Everyone and Have a Happy and Safe New Year.
Hopefully the Elite will all be swallowed into the ground by a sink hole with an attitude.
08:59 lol 😀
….'em are you a good cook…very good….!
Love the music – Celtic Woman. And, the ginger in the dressing is a great touch!
Joyeux Noelle to you and your lovely family!
@mikwid Yes, and it seems to me that meat is cheaper in the US. But this was an atibiotic- and hormone-free turkey from a local farm and local independant butcher. Maybe a regular agribusiness one is cheaper.
Very nice, Thank you..I will try next feast.
PS: Put the rest of the stuffing in the other end..quite a lot of room 😉
@thetruthergirls Yeah, they love poultry here and turkeys are very special and they do not appreciate stuffings usually. The battery turkies, poor things, are usually used for fake ham products and such, but for a roasted bird, you need a free range one. The prices can be really high. I like guinea fowl because those birds can never be factory farmed or they die, and the meat is varied and tends to be golden and darker. I love your channel! Yup, a little curry helps a lot! And some oil.
Hey Truther Girl can really cook!!!!
@thetruthergirls – Absolutely!
I think u r cute
@chiflee67 You betcha!
