    deep-fried tofu with grilled ginger.

    You know deep-fried tofu right?
    Well, this is that plus grilled ginger.

    fried tofu, and
    then put grilled ginger on top?
    Nope!
    We are making the tofu into the grilled ginger.
    It’s very delicious, and
    it’s good as a snack or even a main course.

    "This snack could even be a main dish!"

    today we can turn fried tofu into grilled ginger
    and is it is snack? Check!

    I want to make something that fits both categories.

    Tsutsumishita’s Diner
    Introducing the ingredients
    Half a serving of fried tofu.
    1 tablespoon soy sauce.
    1 tablespoon mirin.
    Half tablespoon sugar.
    1 teaspoon tube ginger.
    2 teaspoons sesame oil.
    1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds.
    Pinch of green onion.
    Well! Let’s start making this fried tofu grilled ginger dish!
    Here we go!
    First is the fried tofu.
    Usually, the package is bigger.
    [If the tofu package is big, just use half.]
    I fortunately found this smaller one
    so I bought it, but
    if you have the bigger one,
    you can cut it.
    So,
    to get rid of the oil
    You can use something like boiling water,
    Wipe off the oil on the surface of the deep-fried tofu with kitchen paper.
    I want to make the best use of the oil part.
    So just use paper towels to
    suck up a little bit of it.
    Okay.
    Just lightly.
    And suck up the surface oil like so.
    Just lightly with the paper towel.
    And that’ll work nicely.

    it could a child’s
    accompaniment for rice dishes.

    You could do that, or
    add in ichimi or shichimi seasoning
    [I think it would be good with condiments such as Ichinomiya’s shichimi seasoning.]
    I think the spice is
    nice in a side snack.
    And that would make it more Japanese in taste.
    I think an ichimi seasoning is good.
    So try that out if you’d like!
