THE DISTILLERY
The Edradour distillery was founded in 1825, is situatedin the Southern Highland of Scotland and owned by Signatory Vintage (Scotch Whisky Co)

Caledonia also used to be the Roman name for what is now Scotland
Matured in ex-Bourbon and ex-sherry cask

Stewed plums, dried fruit, sherry, marmalade, honey, caramel, caramelized brown sugar
TASTE
Sweet, sherry, vanilla, honeyed nuts, salted caramel, earthy, malty, oak spice, orange zest, pepper
FINISH
Medium long, mouth coating, sweet and spicy, caramel, coffee, savoury, dry

Nose: much softer
Taste: smooth, delicious, dark chocolate

This whisky is delicious. I get similar tasting notes to you. It's very rich and mouth coating. I also get a touch of ginger. My bottle didn't last long unfortunately. I'll have to get another soon. Nice to see you and Elna again. Great review guys.
Great review. I love this one too even though some of the whisky anoraks out there give this one rather low score … but there is never a best whisky for everyone. 🙂 I like your food pairings reviews. I find it quite unique given the contents from other vloggers. Good job! Are you using an app called "snupps" ? This app lets you organize your whisky collection in a digital format. So, was wondering if you keep track of your collection of bottles. I am using it and Rob from "Whisky in the 6" channel, so, we can see who has what bottles / thoughts / comments, etc. Cheers!
Edradour has realy good single malts, the12yo is one of the best standart Highland malts…you absolutely must try the15yo fairy flag, its an incredible Whisky.
The single casks from Signatory are also good!

Another exelent video. Thanks for reminding us northern hemisphere folks you are in winter. Interesting that I'm seeing this is Scotlands smallest distillery producing 12 casks per week so most of us are tasting this vicariously through you two. It looks rich and dark like a well aged Bourbon, seeing it for $85 in the US. Would love to try it.
