Butternut Squash Dessert With Saffron #dessert

    This butternut squash dessert is so aromatic, delicious and healthy. It is a great dessert for winter time and is easy to make.

    Ingredients:
    • half of butternut squash (peeled and sliced)
    • 3 tbsp butter (or vegan butter)
    • 4 tbsp maple syrup
    • 2 tbsp saffron water (ground saffron with hot water)
    • 1 tsp cardamom powder
    • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
    • unsalted pistachios for garnish

    Directions:
    • lightly fry both sides of butternut squash in butter until both sides are soft and cooked.
    • add maple syrup and saffron and cook for 2 more mins on medium high heat until the sauce thickens.
    • add cardamom powder and cinnamon and mix with the sauce.
    • transfer to your serving dish, add the sauce on top and garnish with pistachios.
    Serve warm and enjoy!
