ホクホクかぼちゃで作るデリ風ご馳走サラダ|クリームチーズが香る一皿

Hello everyone. It’s December, and winter is well underway in Germany. The first snow has fallen, Christmas markets are popping up, and people are eagerly awaiting Christmas. Today, I’m using a beautiful orange German pumpkin to create a stylish deli-style pumpkin salad. Of course, it’s also delicious with Japanese pumpkins. I hope you find this recipe helpful. Let’s get started. This is a Hokkaido pumpkin, a popular variety in Germany. As its name suggests, it’s native to Japan. It’s sweet and sticky, and it’s my favorite. Thinly slice the onion. Normally, you soak it in water to remove the spiciness, but this apparently removes the beneficial compounds. Instead, we microwave it for about 30 seconds. This removes the spiciness while maintaining the crispness. Remove the seeds and pulp from the pumpkin and cut it into bite-sized pieces. To safely cut hard pumpkins, I always microwave them for about 5 minutes first . This softens the surface a little, making them easier to slice. I microwaved it in my usual silicone steamer for 5-6 minutes. Four minutes wasn’t enough this time, so I reheated it. Meanwhile, I chopped the walnuts. Drain the steamed pumpkin and put it in a bowl. Mash it with a masher. Of course, you can also use a fork. It smells delicious. The fluffy pumpkin already looks delicious . Once mashed, add the cream cheese. And then the yogurt. The package says milk, but I used homemade Caspian Sea yogurt. I think I added a little too much yogurt. German pumpkins are very moist, so I think I should have used less. I also added salt and pepper… adjust if it’s too moist. These are raisins. They’ll plump up if you soak them in water or rum, but I left them as they were today. They’ll absorb the excess moisture and be just right…I think. They ‘re still a little runny, but I’m sure they’ll be just right while they sit in the fridge. I sprinkled some parsley from the balcony. Look, how stylish! The color is beautiful, and it looks like something you’d get at a delicatessen in a department store basement. It will stay good in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Great for breakfast. And here’s a quick rice cooker pot-au-feu for lunch. See, it’s just the right firmness. It’s also delicious served on crackers like this. It’s perfect for a stylish tea time or as a wine accompaniment. What did you think? I think it would be even more delicious with the fluffy Japanese pumpkin. I encourage you all to try making it. I hope to continue sharing delicious and stylish recipes with you, along with beautiful German scenery.
