What I Eat in A Day | full day of eating, realistic healthy home-made meals & high protein recipes

welcome to one of the most realistic what I eat in the days I think I've ever done this day was such a it was a really difficult day in my life but I'm so glad I nourished myself I made really satisfying meals in this first one I just sauteed some onion and tomato and I made some scrambled pastured eggs topped it with a little bit of Parmesan reggiano and wrapped it up in a siete wrap this was so filling with some avocado of course protein carbon fat kept me nice and full and it was so tasty and absolutely delicious oh I have been loving an ice latte with one shot of espresso over some raw milk and a little bit of honey and cinnamon and of course a scoop of collagen to get the protein in there so good stabilizing blood sugar always have it after breakfast so that you don't get the Jitters and you have the fuel in the car before you push the gas pedal and coffee is the gas pedal then I took my probiotic just Thrive it's my favorite and it's a swore based probiotic so it actually survives your stomach acid and gets to your gut to actually give you the benefits of a probiotic and then for a snack I just kept it really simple I had a high protein lemon yogurt so yummy these honey Mamas are so good if you ever see the mint flavor it's my absolute favorite flavor and I always find them at grocery outlet for so cheap and they're delicious the ingredients are amazing coconut oil actually has lauric acid which is anti bacterial antimicrobial it's really good for your gut then for lunch this was one of the best things I've ever made so you have to make this recipe it's so good I got this recipe from harmless Harvest but I just modified it a little bit I don't like spicy so we admitted the spice but it's so good this is the perfect fall yummy cozy warm filling nourishing meal there's kind of a lot of steps so I'll have it written in the description box for you but it's so easy you just basically get all of your spices and mix it in with a little bit of Greek yogurt a chicken marinate for like 5-10 minutes and then cook it up in some olive oil and then add in some butter remove the chicken from the pan after you've let it sear for just a couple minutes on each side and then you want to add in your chopped up onion and garlic and your butternut squash and then I actually added in bone broth instead of water to make it more protein rich and then a can of coconut milk is my favorite coconut milk I get it from Thrive market so amazing there's no gums which can be really irritating to your digestive tract and then I just basically let it simmer all together with the chicken and then top it with some cilantro this was so good [Music] okay this is truly phenomenal you have to make this it's one of the best things I've ever had oh my gosh I have had one of the hardest days I've had in a long long long long time and this is just this is comforting my soul and just side note if you're just having a rough time in life I just want to give you a hug and solidarity 2023 you are just you are quite something no this is one of the best things I've ever made Half Baked Harvest never lets us down I modified the recipe just a little bit but wow I just it's it's truly unreal now we're going to prep our dessert because it's going to take a little bit in the fridge but you're just gonna get a cup of tart cherry juice and this is perfect for before bed because it has melatonin in it it's just very perfect before you go to sleep so grab a cup of that and then do two scoops of the gelatin over the top of it and then I add three cups of hot tart cherry juice so you kind of want to bring it almost to a boil but not quite just hot enough to dissolve the gelatin so you're gonna let the gelatin Bloom over that cup while you heat up the three cups and then pour it over and let it sit in the fridge until it becomes Jello so now we're gonna make dinner now this is the most like I don't know what to make for dinner dinner I've ever made I literally it was such a hard long day and so I just literally found some frozen shrimp in the fridge I found a box of pasta I literally whipped up the shrimp with some garlic and some lemon juice I added in some butter and this was just the easiest dinner I've ever made lemon shrimp pasta so filling so quick very flavorful added in some fresh chopped parsley always the fresh herbs will just really Elevate the meal that's a little tip I don't know how much of a good tip it is but I always do that if I'm just staring at my fridge and I don't know what to make I will literally type in the ingredients that I have into Google and something will come up and it works every single time and I'm like oh I didn't think about that so that's how I do that and then this is something that I just started making I've never used saffron before but I found this at Trader Joe's and I've been making saffron milk before I go to bed so basically I do it for me and Bo so a cup each per person a little pinch of saffron with some cardamom and honey I am telling you I've got the best sleep of my life and then I realized after looking into it that saffron's really good for insomnia and like sleep issues it becomes this beautiful golden yellow color and it is the perfect before bed drink so delicious and very very nourishing hello I hope you enjoyed that very realistic what I eat today I have a Butternut Squash Butter Chicken Recipe
Half Baked Harvest *I DEFINITELY SAID HARMLESS HARVEST IN THE VIDEO LOL @ my fav coconut water brand hahahaa
Original Recipe https://www.halfbakedharvest.com/butternut-squash-butter-chicken/
* here’s how I slightly modified it!
▢1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts/thighs, cut into bite-size chunks
▢1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
▢2 teaspoons plus 1 tablespoon garam masala
▢1 teaspoon paprika
▢2 teaspoons cumin
▢1 teaspoon turmeric
▢kosher salt and black pepper
▢2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
▢4 tablespoons salted butter
▢1 large yellow onion, chopped
▢2 cups cubed butternut squash
▢5 cloves garlic, chopped
▢1 teaspoon ginger
▢1 tablespoon tomato paste
▢1 (14 ounce) can full-fat coconut milk
▢1 cup bone broth *instead of water
▢1/2 cup fresh cilantro, roughly chopped
directions from her site but WITH my modifications 🙂
In a bowl, toss together the chicken, yogurt, 2 teaspoons garam masala, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, and 1 teaspoon salt. Let sit 5-10 minutes.
2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear on both sides until browned, about 2 minutes. Add 2 tablespoons of butter and toss to coat the chicken. Remove the chicken from the skillet to a plate.
3. To the skillet, add the onion and butternut squash, tossing with the butter in the skillet. Cook 5 minutes, until softened. Add 2 tablespoons butter, the garlic, ginger, 1 tablespoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, & paprika. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until fragrant, about 5 minutes. Add the tomato paste and continue cooking another 3-4 minutes.
4. Reduce the heat to low. Add 1 cup bone broth and the coconut milk. Stir to combine, bring the sauce to a simmer, cook 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens slightly. If the sauce seems too thick, thin with 1/2 to 1 cup additional coconut milk. Add the chicken and any juices in the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly, about 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the cilantro. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Serve the chicken, squash, and sauce over bowls of rice with fresh naan. Enjoy! – I just ate mine as is : )

  1. hiii 🙂 tell me how you bring sunshine into a gloomy/hard day. I love you! PS I totally said "harmless harvest" instead of Half Baked Harvest and I'm laughing so hard hahaha shows you how committed I am to my fav coconut water brand lol. make that chicken recipe it's UNREAL!

  2. Hi Cambria!
I’m definitely trying the chicken and butternut squash.
I’ll walk outside. Even if it’s gloomy out… getting fresh air helps me a lot.
    Take care!

  3. My favorite thing to do on a hard day is treat myself to a fun drink. Sometimes this is coffee, sometimes it’s matcha, sometimes it’s a smoothie. But driving to get a fun beverage with some good music always makes me feel so much better 🤍☀️

  4. Something that brightens up my day would be drinking a good cup of coffee, hugging my husband, listening to worship music and going outside for some fresh air.

  5. I make myself a cup of milk tea with a sugar substitute, put on all my fairy lights, candles, and listen to some lofi music to really relax and calm my nerves. Thank you for another great video! i always feel like i never know what to cook to stay full and keep my blood sugar from spiking, so its great seeing what others make lol

  6. When I am having a hard day I go home and take 20-30 minutes and snuggle my dog. No matter what he helps me feel better—it’s like he senses my mood and lets me know “we got this momma!”❤

  7. Depends on if it’s hard because I’m in pain or angry or sad! If I’m in pain I always go to sleep, I feel like my body just needs rest and healing time. If I’m angry I go on a walk and call my mom lol! I just can rant and sweat and get everything out. If I’m sad I make some tea and cuddle with my cats ❤️ love the giveaway so excited about this one!!

  8. I try to listen to what my body needs and honour physical comfort. I feel like as adults we always forget to do that, maybe you want some warmth from a cozy blanket or a hug from your partner with a warm drink, those little things sometimes make a big difference ✨

  9. When I’m having a hard day, I like to spend time in the garden admiring the bees & flowers and talk to God. During the winter I’ll spend time with God and take a nap if I can 😂

  10. If I need to brighten my day, I have to just slow myself down and put on some good music. Music just has this insane way of bringing me down to earth yet fueling my soul!! Love you Cambria ❤

  11. Something I do to brighten my day is make my morning cup of coffee, grab my book, and go sit out on my back porch in the sun. Getting some sun always makes me feel better.
Have a great week Cam. ❤

  12. Love this video Cambria!! When I’m having a hard day- I try to push myself to go for a walk/get my body moving and read scripture. I love going to walk outside, especially in Texas, because the warm weather helps me feel better and so does seeing God’s creation- which reminds me of his living word and how he is always beside me, even on the toughest days❤

  13. i love finding a nice place out to sit and just think and absorb the sun. it always makes me feel better and reminds me of my old self.

  14. praise music, essential oils and a cup of tea and a hug from hubby is usually my go to when I'm having a rough day! Thanks for sharing more fun recipes 🙂

  15. if I'm feeling up to it, I'll go on a run because I know it always makes me feel happy & gets me out of my head for a bit. otherwise, baking cookies is always a good option 😋

  16. To brighten my day, I try to go walk outside, eat my favorite snack/drink my favorite drink, and put my phone away to be present with people around me!

  17. I always run to my best friend and let her lift me up!! Or a fun coffee or tea always boosts my mood☺️ BUT when I feel realllly anxious, I always come watch one of your videos, even if it’s an older one.. you just have such a good spirit and it’s very grounding/encouraging. Thank you for being you!!

  18. I love to listen to worship music, go on a walk with my little and talk through whatever it is with my husband. He usually calms me down and reminds me what the Bible says. Also might have an extra latte that day. 🙂

  19. Honestly when I’m having a bad day I sit down in living room with a warm cup of chocolate salt LMNT with little bit of vanilla and mint ( by the way So so Good ) and watch your videos you seem to make my day brighter no matter what my mood is 😊

  20. Cambria!! I’ve been loving your videos!! Truthfully I have been having a rough time lately. And honestly the some of the things I have been doing are meditating and praying and truthfully crying….. LOL it sounds crazy but sometimes it’s okay just to let out my feelings rather than keeping them all bottled in. I feel so much better after and I always pray after to let The Lord know that I trust in him and I know I’ll be okay. Praying for everyone going through a tough season you’re not alone, there will be brighter days ahead. Amen!!!! ❤❤❤❤

  21. Hi, new subscriber here! My mom and sister have watched your videos for a while and told me about you and I’m obsessed already! Today was a bit of a hard day and after work I drew a bubble bath, lit a candle, and put on a nourishing face mask. In the midst of crazy days, I like to stop and do a quick devotion or open my Bible app and reflect on the verse of the day!!

  22. When I’m having a rough day I honestly call my mom and vent 😂 yes grown & calling my mom. But if it’s a really bad day I’ll drive around and blast worship.

  23. I like to make a cup of coffee preferably with pumpkin spice and grab a quiet spot in the house with a good book. I’ve been loving the author Tamera Alexander.

  24. To brighten my day I usually listen to worship music and pray it out! Psalm 23 or John 14 and 15 are always a good go to scripture for me!🤎

  25. What a delicious day of meals thanks for sharing😋 whenever I’m having a down day, I always try to listen to worship music / pray. Then I’ll try to do something for myself like getting a coffee from a coffee shop or having a little treat !

  26. I get outside, a run or walk, a quick bike ride. Do something solo outside! Clear my head. That’s one of my favorite things to do!

  27. I spend time with Jesus outside in His beautiful creation (by water if possible). Then, I will call a wise and loved family member or friend whom I know will pray with me, encourage me and point me to Jesus and to His Word.

  28. 🍁 you need to be careful of how much protein you get because my husband was on Atkins and he overdosed on protein and he had to go on dialysis.
