北海道の稚内観光モデルコース 初めての北海道車中泊ホンダNVAN
Good morning. It’s the third morning of our Hokkaido car camping trip. We’re currently at Sou-Fureai Park in Hokkaido. It’s cloudy, but the weather is cloudy. The high temperature is 20°, the low 15°. While Tokyo has been experiencing scorching temperatures for days, the weather is quite cool and comfortable. I feel a bit itchy. Good morning. Good morning. I can’t open my eyes. Since we arrived late last night at Sou-Fureai Park, I ‘ll explain the details of the auto campground. Check-in is from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with the last day at 10:00 PM. Check-out is at 11:00 AM the next morning. The entrance gate closes between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM , but you can go out as many times as you like outside of those hours. Only the houses at the auto campground are open, and they have closed for the 2025 fiscal year. I don’t know the current temperature. 17°, the lowest at 1515°. I’ll move this data over there. It was a bit hard to see at night. I bought some Hokkaido-made sakurambo (cherry blossoms) at Furukoko last night. It must be spring. The sakurambo is so fresh and succulent, and delicious. Yes. Sweet and sour, and delicious. Bye-bye. See you later. See you later. After getting ready for the morning, I checked out of the auto campsite. Today, I’m planning to enjoy sightseeing in Wakka City. Secoma, at the northwest end, is probably cool and probably really beautiful. Wakkanaishi refers to the Wakka area, with a population of about 30,000. The Anu language in Wakka means “cold, with cold drinking water within the Yakka area.” The area is blessed with a rich natural environment, surrounded by two seas and the So Strait, and boasts a thriving sectarian music scene . Despite facing the So Strait, the area is influenced by oceanic influences, with ocean breezes blowing year-round. [Music] [Music] [Music] Amazing. Apparently, they went out. Wow, from here . There was a fire. Really. Yes. There was a stone. Maybe it wasn’t here? Oh, it’s a white road. Oh, is this the white road? See, it says starting point. White. Ah, but this is it. Right? Yeah. Feeling like I’m going somewhere? Yeah. Okay. We’ve arrived at the tip of Japan, Muneyamizaki , Muneyamizaki Kitai 45° 31 minutes 22 seconds. Muneyami is the northernmost point of Japan. This triangular water monument , with the letter N inscribed in the center, representing north, and a 1-ryo (single swan) motif, marks the northwestern tip of Japan. The ocean stretching out before us is called the Muneyami Strait, with the Sea of Japan on the left and Odori on the right. The weather was good that day, and we could see the island of Sakhalin just beyond the horizon. Apparently, it’s only 43km away. A foreign bloodline lies so close, it feels like we could reach out and touch it . Mamiya, an Edo period explorer, stands quietly nearby . With his mission of defending Russia’s southern coast and above all, to confirm that Karafuto was an island, not just a part of the continent, Konosuke braved the rough waves to venture here. His great mineralization marked the beginning of this strait being carved into the world map as a network and a strait, rather than simply a strait. At his feet, a gorgeous Almedia flower sprung up. This flower, also known as Hamasashi, has the floral language of “compassion dojo.” In this remote land, witnessing the waves of history and the rigors of borders, its blooming feels like a quiet prayer. It’s a place to reflect on the far northern lands. The name of Chan Shokudo Kitahata, now a joint-stock company, is… Oh, that’s amazing. They’re all from the northern end. Yes. It’s coming in. It’s coming in. Fermentation. [Music] There’s something here. Yeah. They probably don’t have my size. Surely they don’t. Unfortunately, they don’t. There are lots of smaller sizes. But you can see something. Really. Wow, amazing. It looks like this. Bear, bear. There’s a bear. It’s so amazing, isn’t it? [Music] Yeah. It’s crazy. I’d love to get scratched by something like that. We’re here now. Yes. So, we’re going to go all the way around here [Music] . Yeah. It’s probably here. I’m waiting for a bit. Oh, so that’s how we got here. That’s right. And then we came like this. Yeah. So, if we eat here and come back, it’ll be nice and warm, right? It’ll be warm, right? It was warm . Apparently there’s an Instagrammable spot near Cape Munemi, so I’d like to go. They say it’s so . Yeah. Of course. Wow. Yeah. I’d go around Hokkaido in about two weeks. But two weeks might be a little short. The two lines, formed by glacial ice over 10,000 years ago, are gently undulating and registered as Hokkaido Heritage sites. In the vast boulevard, cows and horses graze gracefully, creating a magnificent landscape quintessentially Hokkaido. The rows of windmills, like the homes of the wind gods , create a striking contrast with the clear blue sky. A white road. As I continued driving, a white road came into view . The roughly 3km road is paved with scallop shells, a local specialty . Right before my eyes, I could see the pig herds on the island. The clear blue sky, the perfect ocean, and the green woodland make the endless white shell-covered road sparkle in the sunlight. I was captivated by the white, picturesque scenery. No, can you show me one more time? [Music] I see. So that’s where we ended up. Let’s go back to where we were just now. You’re free, so let’s go for lunch. Yeah. Here. Yeah. See, it’s a little better than the places we’ve been. Oh, isn’t it? There are a lot of cars. Haha. Okay. Let’s go in. When you come to Wakkauchi, you’ll want to enjoy the local Wakkauchi cuisine. The restaurant has a retro feel, and regulars are known for their signature flavors. And here’s what I ordered: Sake chazuke wakanai chime. This is it. This is it. Why is there a Mogu who says this is delicious? Luffy’s here too. Oh, not Luffy. Oh, it’s Naruto. Naruto. [Music] After a while, the food was brought out. There’s a way to eat sake chazuke; you start off eating it like salmon, and then you eat it as sake chazuke halfway through. That’s right. It’s beautifully presented. No, this kind of thing [Music] seems to come one by one. [Music] Wakkanai chow mein. Wakkauchi’s soul food. Chow mein is a unique evolution of champon noodles, a goto gourmet dish. Hoteika shrimp chashu. A large plate of vegetables and tempura piled high. The crispy noodles are topped with piping hot rice, and I mix the noodles with the hot rice. The angels of the restaurant are a lovely couple with lovely smiles and a wonderful personality. Yes. Can I just step in? Yes. [Music] Can I come in? Yes. The oil from the sake that was served with the rice porridge comes out, and when combined with the umami of the rice, the motherly taste that subtly permeates my body is also very delicious. It was delicious. A feast. Thank you. A feast. Thank you. Yes. It was a feast. Everyone is delicious. [Music] I’ve had it at Musashi. The ramen 800 meters ahead to the right is somehow like anchovy fried noodles and is delicious. And the rice was, as expected, fresh and delicious. That being said, the people at the restaurant are really caring . Yes. Right. Kind. Kind, isn’t it ? Yes. It feels like their personalities are calling out to customers. Yes. I definitely felt that. Yes. The husband also seemed a bit beguiled. The atmosphere was woof woof. It was like a soft place. I saw Daiso so I went to buy some things I needed for the night in the car. It’s about 700m ahead, on the right side of Chuo 5-chome. This guy came from Shonan. [Music] This is amazing. Oh, this, this is a roadside station. Oh, there’s one here Our destination. That’s the northernmost point. It seems like a landmark. Wow. Those tracks up there are the northernmost in Japan. Oh. Japan’s northernmost. From JR Ka Station, head toward the station square, and you’ll see a yellow train stop, marking the northernmost railroad track in Japan. This location was originally the station where Wakkanai Minatohikari was located. The temperature display at Ka Station showed a temperature of 21.3°C at 1:28 PM. Perhaps the wind from the foothills keeps the temperature from rising. The weather is dry and cool, even with no stinging air, and with no humidity, it’s perfect weather for a secretarial location. [Music] [Music] And behind us is Ka Station. It’s the northernmost station in Japan. We’re now heading to Wakanai Station, the northwesternmost station in Japan. [Music] Wakanai Station. We’ve arrived at Wakkanai Station, the northwesternmost station in Japan. Wakkanai Station is a JR Hokkaido Main Line station. The current station is where Wakkanai Hikari Station was originally located, and it seems Wakkanai Station was located elsewhere. 1,234,567 trains per day . Oh. 12,345 bottles on my day off. Yeah. Yeah. I’ll go into a shop with a souvenir shop and a restaurant . The current Waka Station is integrated with the northern part of the complex, and inside there’s a movie theater, bus terminal, and souvenir shop. I saw a shop selling Wakanai’s famous Wakanai milk and soft serve ice cream, so I’ll buy some. Shall I try this? Yeah. This one. This is a sweets shop in Wakana City, with its main store and a branch just north of here, and it seems to be a beloved local shop. The salted soft serve ice cream, made with local ingredients, is smooth and creamy, using salt from Souya-ya. It’s a rich, deep-flavored ice cream. The subtle saltiness of the salt goes well with the sweet milk soft serve. How’s it? Yeah. It’s delicious . I tried it and it ‘s really tasty. Yeah. It has a moldy flavor, you know. Yeah. It’s jiggly . Yeah. It’s delicious. I wanted to try Wakanai milk and see what it tastes like, so I bought some. The milk was fresh, sweet, and fruity. It was so refreshing and easy to drink that it didn’t even seem like milk. Oh, how can I put it? It even tastes like cheese. Wow. Rich. Yeah. You know that cheese thing, you know? It’s like this cheese candy. [Music] Oh, that’s true. You know, it’s kind of, it’s got a light, sweet feeling. Kind of like vanilla yeah. It has a nice flavor. yeah. And it doesn’t smell. yeah. It doesn’t smell like milk, does it? yeah. This is nice. It’s a campsite. Top left. Huh? Oh, that’s true. There’s things like Karafuto Prefecture child support. Oh, that’s true. Craft Prefecture yeah. Training commemoration funds and stuff. It’s a port town, is n’t it? That’s right. I’ve left Kin and I have a little time before check-in. Oh, that’s right. I could go to Shappumisaki. Yeah. Oh, I also want to fill up with gas. Ah, yeah, gas. Yeah. Wow. The dome-shaped building at Wakkanai-hikari is a half-sized dome. Constructed in 1931, the dome took five years to build. Because strong winds blow 130 days a year at Wakkanai-hikari, it served as a breakwater for Wakkanai-hikari and a transfer passage from Mitsuhashi Station to the station. At the time, there was a road connecting Hokkaido and Karafuto, and it was bustling with Karafuto residents . It’s now registered as a Hokkaido Heritage Site and a popular Instagram feed . [Music] Yes. Shiosoft. Oh, I spotted a deer on the way. What? So amazing. Deer. Eh? Oh, here it is. Sea urchin bowl. Oh, I’ll eat it. Eh, there are lots of mountains too. This place is also maize . But for now, it seems to be Karafuto Shokudo. It’s near that destination. I wonder where everyone parks. Oh, this place has closed. Shappu Shokudo. Shappu. Ah, this is Shappu. I visited Shappu Misaki, the city’s most beautiful Shappu Misaki. Shappu is said to have two meanings in the Anu language: a place where the tip of the fin juts out like a chin, and a place where the waves break. You can see Mount Rishiri and Reibun Island right in front of you. It’s famous for its beautiful sunsets. There’s a dolphin monument, built based on the legend that dolphins once passed through the area. Even in recent years, dolphins such as kuji, orcas, and zaarashi have been spotted here. It’s like this. There was a certain melancholy atmosphere. It felt like I was lost in thought. Yeah. It was a place where I could just daydream. Yeah . Thinking about Russia across the ocean, I realized I’d come a long way. To check in, I headed to Hokkaido Doritsu So and Koai Park and checked into the Hokkaido Doritsu Sect player. This time, I’m staying at a site instead of sleeping in my car. The room is amazing, isn’t it? Yeah. I guess tomorrow’s the best. The wind won’t let me win. Please follow the signs in the card hall. R2 is good. R2 , yeah. Deep. Even deeper. Haha. This way. I see. Sloshing. I see. Sloshing. I guess this is good enough. This is, er, too much of a hassle. Yeah. There’s parking space for one car inside the lodge. Open the front door, and the bathroom is on the right, and the toilet on the left. There’s a hair dryer and disposable toothbrushes in the sink, and body soap and rinse-in shampoo in the bathroom. Going further in, you’ll find the kitchen and living room. [Music] If you look this way, you’ll see it. It’s equipped with a refrigerator, rice cooker, electric kettle, microwave, fan, and TV. Up the stairs is the bedroom, where you sleep on a futon. [Music] [Music] The prices are as follows. It’s amazing. At the end, on the left. We’ve arrived at Japan’s northernmost hot spring. Wakkanaido Onsen, a day-trip hot spring facing Wakkanaido Coast. Yes. The ring-shaped hot spring dome is designed to resemble a port town, and the building offers 10 different baths, including a boat-shaped bath, open-air bath, and sauna. I was planning to have dinner, but unfortunately it was the last order, so I missed it . I had dinner at Seiko Mart, but then decided to have dinner at the lodge. Is this it? Yes. A toast to Sekomaru again today. Cheers. Peace. That was tough. We went to a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant, and it’s a Hokkaido thing. They’re closing in three minutes. That was a surprise. What do you mean, three minutes for customers? Oh, I’m so disappointed. First of all, seriously. Oh, this salad is delicious. This Sekomaru salad . Was it crab stick salad? Hmm, it’s different from convenience store salads. It tastes fresh. Shingen’s crab-flavored wonton. Yeah. Wow, it’s true. Wait, does it taste like Shingen’s? It was just like it. Sorauma. Hey, we went to Gen, right? Yeah. We went. [Music] It’s amazing. It’s so creamy. Yeah. [Music] Yeah. This is amazing. Yeah. Ha, Kato. And this is tofu hamburger. Cheese hamburger. Yeah. This is cheese croquette. Yeah. And, this is yakisoba. This is always delicious. Yeah. Here. Oh, katsudon. Yeah. Oh, this is delicious. It’s delicious, isn’t it? Yeah. Yeah. Delicious. You can find it at Koma. My eyes have already been drawn to it. Well, I’d like to eat it slowly. Yeah. Okay. I’m tired today, so I’ll go to bed. [Music] Thank you for another day’s work. Yes. I can stretch my legs out and sleep today. Yes. Relax. Yes. It’s so spacious, I’m so tired. What did I do today? I’ll prepare it. The tent site wasn’t open. Oh, I see. It would have been fine if it was all tent spaces. Right. But it couldn’t be helped since it wasn’t open . So, are you there? Yes. Yes. Well, good night. See you tomorrow. Bye-bye. Good night. Bye. Good morning. It’s the morning of the fourth day of our car camping trip. Good morning. I slept well. It’s currently 6am. Don’t you know what the weather is today? It’s sunny with cloudy skies. Well, I think there will probably be a lot of clouds today. It’s something like that. It’s very cold. The current temperature is 15°. It’s chilly. Well, maybe a little cold. Well, there’s quite a bit of wind, so I went outside. I’m wearing short sleeves and a short coat, but it’s really cold . Well, it’s Hokkaido after all. Today’s high is 18°, so I think it’ll be a pretty comfortable day. I’ll be checking out and heading to the campsite, so please come along. Okay. [Music] Are you here? Yes. It’s currently 8:46 . I’m going to check out of the campsite . Well, if you’re staying at a regular auto site, you don’t have to check out. Oh. If you’re renting this roach, you have to return the key. Oh, I see. I see. So, you’ll have to check out. Oh, they’re doing some kind of expansion here. Yes. They’ll do something again. It’s so popular. Yes. Yes. Yes. It looks like it’ll be ready next year. There’ll be free tent sites too. Just limit the number of visitors, Haraiber. Yes. But, you know, I’m not sure what’s decided there. Oh, is that so? Is it only for people who come by bike? Ah, this is it. The observation deck. Hmm? Yeah. The wind’s changed, so maybe it’s from the ranch. Yeah. That’s right. Yeah. I’m going to check out. See you later. Hey, here. I’m here for the cow. What’s this for the cow? So, so, so, so. Milk, how’s the weather today? It’s sunny today. Ah, that’s right. It’s full of calcium. So, from here, where is Shappu Misaki ? I think it’s about 15 minutes from here, is it Karafuto Shokudo? [Music] Yeah. They open at 9am, so we’re moving accordingly. Yes. There are a lot of clouds, and it’s hot today. It’s not hot, though. Right. There’s a gap in the sky, and it’s like the sky is visible on the left. It’s the same as the one we went to yesterday. But will we make it? Yes. That’s the problem. Oh, Stork. Yeah. It’s getting crowded already, so I’ll call it a day. We still have 18 minutes. Karafuto Shokudo. I really wanted a fresh sea urchin bowl, so before leaving the ring, I headed to Kaisen Shokudo in the city. Karafuto Shokudo, open only during the Shimo period, is a restaurant where you can enjoy fresh sea urchin. I had heard it would be busy, but we were able to get in right away. Karafuto Shokudo sources its ingredients directly from local fishermen, so apparently you can fill up on incredibly fresh sea urchin . I ordered the oysters, but Iku and my wife ordered the oysters and oysters, respectively. The oysters are available as a choice of two-meal bowl, with a choice of squid, scalloped squid, or flying fish flakes, with an additional 420 yen. That being said, I guess it’s fine. Oh, here you go. The oysters were not only large, but also fresh and beautiful. The rich oysters melted in your mouth, with the flavor of the sea and the sweetness of the sea urchin spreading throughout. The rice is not sushi rice, but freshly cooked unsalted rice. [Music] It would probably cost over 10,000 yen if you ate this in Tokyo . I’m so sorry. [Music] A beautiful ikura don, like a jewel box of a club. I’d like both the jiggly and this one, please. I’d like the cucumber, too. [Music] [Music] I’d like the cucumber, too. [Music] It was delicious. It was a feast. Payment is cash only. The sea was super good. I had some sea urchin, too. I’m not really a big fan of sea urchin, actually. Yeah. I love it. But it was so delicious. The moment I put it in my mouth, how can I put it? It felt like the ocean was spreading out before me. Haha. [Music] It was just amazing. It was sweet. It was sweet. The distinctive feature of this place is that the sea urchin is…yeah. It looks smelly. It doesn’t have any smell, so you don’t even need to add soy sauce. You can eat it. You can eat it. You can eat it. That was really good. Yeah. The sea of wind spread out. It spread out. Honestly, it was really delicious. I want to come again. Um, even if you don’t have a lot of money, if you like it, I think you should definitely get a good, big bowl. Oh, what about men? Men, I’m a little full. Men. Yeah. Well, there are all kinds of bowls, like the regular udon. Yeah. If you think about it normally, well, tch, I feel like a woman could probably fill up on a small one. For men, it was just a regular bowl, and I had a lot. By the end, it was so delicious. That was really top-class sea urchin bowl, ranking pretty high among all the donburi. The ikura bowl and crab were good too. Oh, yeah. The crab and fresh ikura were plump and tender. Yeah. And the miso soup was super tasty. Yeah. It had fatty kelp in it. Yeah. That was it. So it was a feast. Thank you very much. It was incredibly delicious. I couldn’t take photos inside the restaurant. Yes, but I want to go to the next place. Well, I’ll rest for a bit. Let’s go on a five-hour journey. In summary, Wakanai, the farthest reaches of Japan, is surrounded by the two oceans of Otsukai and the Sea of Japan , providing endless bounty from their bountiful bounty. The town’s vast land and inhabited areas offer a sense of relaxation, making the entire town a haven of nature’s bounty. It was an unexpected discovery to discover that a town in northwestern Japan could be so profound and moving . Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to visit this time, but learning about the existence of Toshi Island and Rebun Island, which are the starting point of Wakanai, further strengthened my longing for the farthest islands . I hope to return to Wakanai in the not-too-distant future and see these mysterious islands for myself. The next video will be a tour of Furano in summer. Did you enjoy this video?
