This a delicious Slow Cooker Asian Beef Recipe. This recipe came out much better than we expected, it was really tasty, with a hint of spice. The beef was really well cooked and fell apart.

Few things to note, you can replace the stewing steaks with 600g of diced stewing beef, the brown sugar can either be light brown or dark brown, it doesn’t make a difference.

We used chilli flakes because we prefer them, but you can replace it with a teaspoon of chili powder or cayenne pepper.

If you are in the US, we call cornstarch, corn flour, just use the equivalent amount of cornstarch to the amount we used of cornflour.

    1. Hi, some great easy to follow recipes. I followed the recipe to the letter on this one, all except the main ingredient, i used rump steak instead of braising steak, a much leaner cut. It had a very "earthy" taste to it. I originally thought the stock pot may have been too much, maybe use half a stock pot? Or could the steak be the reason?
