What’s up guys, gays and girls? Welcome back to my channel. Today’s video we’re going to cook lubyanga. And these are your ingredients. And we start with sautéing your chopped onions. Next to this is your chopped garlics. I put a little bit more of garlic cuz I like garlic in my [Music] cooking. The next is your chicken, your sliced chicken. Saute it until it’s cooked. [Music] I think the chicken is ready now. Then we can add the veggies. Let’s start with your carrots. Mix, mix, mix. And then your sliced sweet potatoes. [Music] Next, we’re going to add chicken br cubes. Okay, this gives more flavor to the chicken and the vegetable as a whole of the fresh lubia. And also fish sauce. We call that patricis. I’m sure you know what fish sauce [Music] is. Batis plays a big role in Filipino dishes. It adds unique flavor to our food. Now you can get that here in local shop like Emmanuel Asian store or Taj Mahal in town at excuse me. Also I don’t have sponsors here. Okay. So let’s carry on with our cooking. Next vegetable is a sliced turnips. It’s our sinamas version here in UK. And uh sinkas. Speaking of sinkas, I like sink. I miss it. You can get sinkas in the Philippines every summer. It’s really nice. I miss it. And then carry on. Cover and cook it for a minute. Next is your sliced green beans. Yes, we have that. And it’s everywhere in the world you can get green beans. [Music] Yes, it’s tasting time. Delicious. This time I’ll show you how I make my sauce or fresh lubia. I’ll start with water. Two cups of water. Yes. And then brown sugar. Put it in. That’s it. It’s so easy to make this. Then soy sauce. Okay. And the secret ingredients later on I I’ll tell you. Let’s put the chopped garlic first. It adds a flavor to the garlic, you know. And the secret is oyster sauce. I don’t know. It’s It’s different taste. It’s It’s really nice. Yes. Next is our tapioca starch, our thickening agent. Add water. Mix it with water. Mix it. Mix. Mix. [Music] Mix. Okay. Medium heat. Pour the mixture. You can see. Then add [Music] salt. Yes. [Music] Add the thickening mixture which is your tapioca starch. Okay. Do it slowly and gently. You can always add more if you want your sauce to be thicker. Yes. [Music] I think it’s all ready now. Right thickness, the texture and the sweetness and the smell and the taste of the garlic. It’s all good. Well done. Good job. Next, we are going to make the wrapper. The lubia wrapper. Okay, these are your ingredients. Okay, let’s start with two eggs in a mixing bowl. Biscuit. Biscuit. Yes, that’s [Music] it. Then let’s add a cup of water. That’s [Music] it. Continue [Music] mixing. And then my corn starch. Where is it? There. That’s the corn starch I believe. So yeah, continue mixing [Music] recipe. Then a pinch of salt. Mix again. And I’m going to be needing a bigger mixing bowl. because I haven’t really put the flour yet. So, we can have the freedom to mix it properly. Now, adding the flour. [Music] And after the flour, we’re going to use the vegetable [Music] oil. Medium heated non-stick pan. Little bit of oil. Just a little bit. Brush it off. That’s [Music] it. All right. The tricky part. I use the measuring cup. Pour the mixture gently into pan. Well, it took me some time to master this actually to be honest. And yeah, this is how I do [Music] it. Once the edges are cooked, gently flip it up. Um, there are different ways how they do it, how we do it. For me, this is how I do it or how I’ve done it. [Music] M. Oops. Oops. I think less than a minute this is all cooked. I think it’s ready now, actually. Yeah. Yeah, it’s ready. Thank you. All done. Right. Lay your wrapper flat and add the filling. Honestly, I’m not the master of doing this, okay? Have to bear with me. And again, pardon my mistakes. This is just how I do [Music] it. Hey [Music] there. [Music] Masar. Enjoy. Peace. [Music]

Lumpiang Sariwa literally translates to fresh spring roll. It is a Filipino version of spring rolls.
The filling is composed of vegetables such as carrots, turnips, green beans, and sweet potato. Firm tofu or chicken may also be added. The filling is wrapped in a crepe-like wrapper that will not be fried that is why its called fresh spring rolls. It also has a special sauce that is sweet and savory and then topped with chopped peanuts.    Lumpiang Sariwa can be served as appetizers but it is also popularly eaten as an afternoon snack or for those who want to have a light meal (or lose weight), it will also be perfect for dinner.
