【フランス人の1日のルーティン】起きてから寝るまで: フランスでの何気ない一日ってどんな感じ？【とある1日】🇫🇷🥐

Hello. My name is Aurélien, and I am a french guy
who has been living in Japan for over 5 years. I am currently back in France temporarily to visit my family.
And I wanted to take the opportunity to show you a typical day in my country. After getting up, I go to buy croissants for breakfast.
Let’s go ! (Saleswoman) €3.50 please. In cash ?
(Aurélien) In cash please, yes ! Thanks a lot ! (Saleswoman) It’s all good ! Thank you, have a nice day and GoodBye !
(Aurélien) Thank you very much, have a nice day, goodbye ! After buying the croissants and taking a little walk,
we will have breakfast with my parents. We’ll prepare it together, and I’ll show you what a typical French breakfast is.
You should know that my parents are retired now, so they are quite free. I am going to spend this day with them,
to show you a day with my family, at home. We will prepare food, have coffee, have dinner,
and therefore show you this French culture at home. We also go out, visit the neighbourhood, go shopping at the supermarket,
go to the sea which is 5 minutes away. There are many things to do, I hope you’ll enjoy it ! (Aurélien) Butter not in the fridge.
(Father) Oh no ! (Aurélien) Never ?
(Father) Otherwise it cannot be spread.
(Mother) Never There’s some bread we toast to bring back the crunch because it’s a bit dated.
But also fresh bread that my parents like to put in the oven to warm up a bit. Also coffee, lots of juices, etc.
And of course the croissants that I went to get this morning.
Bon appétit ! (Everyone) Bon appétit ! -> Means “enjoy your meal” My mum makes homemade salted butter caramel !
And it’s so good ! These are very convivial moments where we discuss and share. (Aurélien) So Mom, you dip your croissant in the coffee.
(Mother) Yes, yes, Always ! Croissant, bread .. (Aurélien) Is it good ?
(Mother) Yes it is ! *Yum* Very good (Aurélien) In Japan I think there is a growing trend to put butter in coffee.
(Father) Oh, really ? Papa: In the morning my job is to cut the bread for mom
Mama: It’s the ritual hehe Aurelien: One full baguette for mom in the morning?
Mom: No, 3/4! Dad: I have my own aswell
Aurelien: You share it with me now right?
Dad: Exactly Dad: Do you want some?
Aurelien: Yes please! (Aurélien) Thank youuuu ~
(Father) I usually throw the bread, but now I’m restraining myself. (Aurélien) What is the point of dipping the buttered baguette into the coffee?
(Mother) I don’t know, I think the mix is good, and it’s also a habit. (Father) It’s cultural, right? You’ve always been doing that. Your parents too no ?
(Mother) Yes, my parents too Today I don’t work too much, because I want to spend
as much time as possible with my parents. This is my room when I was little. I’ve had this plush since I was a kid,
you can even see it in the pictures. You can tell me how cute I am in the coments. I really like these pictures. We are a large family. I have a younger sister,
an older brother and two older sisters. So five children in all. (Aurélien) So mum, are you going to make us a tiramisu for tonight ?
(Mother) Yes ! You have to do it a little in advance, until it sets well so that it is firm. (Aurélien) I can’t wait! This is one of my favourite desserts you make.
(Mother) Great (Mother) Mascarpone is very delicious, but it doesn’t help with the diet, it’s 80% fat. (Aurélien) I gave the camera to my mum, right mum ?
(Mother) Yes, I have the camera (Aurélien) Because it’s my channel so I have to pretend to cook too. (laugh)
(Mother) Yes of course, naturally (laugh) (Aurélien) It’s time to test the beaten eggs. I’m pretty confident !
(Mother) Let’s take a look ! (Aurélien) Ouuuuh ! Yes !!
(Mother) They are well-made ! (Aurélien) Hmmm ! This is the best! (Aurélien) We’re going to put this in the fridge for at least 4-5 hours so it will be perfect for tonight !
(Mother) Yes ! That’s a minimum For tonight’s dinner, I have to do some shopping like a roast beef and other things. I will take this opportunity to show you supermarkets as well as the shelves
that are rare in Japan, which in France are a little better supplied. Obviously here, the cheese!
Look how good it looks! I guess it makes you want to eat it, because I was. There are many different kinds of pastries made here ! I noticed that there is less choice in the juice section in Japan than in France.
It’s surprising ! Butter makes sense.
Wine, we’re not surprised! There’s a lot of choice and it’s not expensive at all. Chocolate, cereals, snacks, sweets are all things I love ! For example, Kinder is my favourite.
Unfortunately they don’t have them in Japan, I’m so sad ! So I bought a lot of them! I’m really a child, but I’m super happy ! This is rice pudding. It’s a dessert with rice and vanilla cream.
I think this might shock you as a Japanese person, but tell me what you think ! I could show you so much more, but we don’t really have time.

(Father) I’m cooking the “Daddy’s salad” now ! (Aurélien) So it’s a salad with everything you can find in the fridge.
(Father) Yes ! Well, with what we like most (Father) Now we’ll add the cheese ! It is a cheese that must surely
work best with salad. In fact, this is the cheese that you find in sandwiches ! (Aurélien) True !
(Parents) And it is a cheese that can be grated. (Aurélien) In Japan, grated cheese is mozarella !
Which is astounding. (Aurélien) Is that mold I see there ?
(Father) These are mushrooms .. that are called .. Vero ? (mother’s name) Penicillium roqueforti! (Aurélien) Thanks Madam !
(Father) My memory is playing tricks on me. (laugh) (Aurélien) How would you describe the taste of endive ?
(Father) Very bitter, crunchy, and full of water so quite refreshing ! I would like to take this opportunity to show you a few things in the appartment. My parents know a lot about Japan, as they have visited us several times.
They loved it and bought lots of nice things ! Like calligraphy that is handmade by someone in the Kotomi family.
They gave it to my parents, and they love it ! I found an old vinyl of French anime music from when I was a kid, it’s great ! Often around 5 p.m., we have coffee with chocolates,
and it’s a little time to get together, a friendly moment. Look at the light in the flat around 6pm. It’s really beautiful.
And this view too! I love this hour of the day. I thought it was the perfect time to go to the beach with this light !
5 minutes around by walk. Look how beautiful it is !
I didn’t realise it when I was a kid, but having the sea so close is exceptional ! This is something I miss a little bit in Tokyo.
Now we’ll go home and make dinner. My father is a whisky fan, so he also has a Japanese whisky. (Everyone) Cheers! (Father) If someone can translate it for me, please send it to me ! We’re going to prepare the aperitif (apéro). It’s very French.
Before the meal, we will drink alcohol while eating snacks. This is going to be another time for the family to get together. (Aruélien) So we prepare the aperitif. That’s what Daddy likes, isn’t it, Dad?
(Father) Oh yes ! I love it ! I love salami ! (Aurélien) This is something I can only find in “Loft”, it’s spicy !
My dad loves it, so I bring this back every time I go back to France. (Mother) It is a typical aperitif table.
(Aurélien) Here is the french apéro ! (Aurélien) I gave the camera to my father who became the director.
We’ll serve Mom’s glass of “pastis” first. (Aurélien) “Pastis” is a speciality of the south of France.
(Father) Tes, from Marseille ! (Aurélien) It’s aniseed flavoured, and very fragrant !
Kotomi doesn’t like it so much, and not everyone likes it, it’s very special. (Father) Mom loves it ! (Aurélien) Ice cubes first, no ?
(Father) Yes. And Mom likes it a bit strong. Perfect ! (Aurélien) Am I doing well or not ?
(Father) Extraordinary well ! (Aurélien) Schweppes 0 Tonic ! It is very bitter.
As you grow up, we appreciate the bitterness more and more. (Father) You did well, didn’t you?
(Aurélien) I seem to be used to it! (Father) That’s right ! And yet it’s very rare that you have an aperitif !
(Aurélien) It’s true, I only take it when I’m with you. But it’s the same for you, isn’t it ? (Father) Yes yes, we never take it without you of course ! We never drink ! (sarcasm)
(Aurélien) Well thank you director ! You can give me back the camera (Father) No, I keep it because I find it very good. I still have a lot to film about our life here ! (haha)
(Aurélien) -Laugh- (Father) It’s good to be together !
(Everyone) Kanpai ! (Mother) I bought this in Japan, at the 100 yen shop !
(Aurélien) That’s nice ! (Father) And we keep it all the time.
(Aurélien) It’s good, it’s pretty too ! (Aurélien) Japan is really great, isn’t it ?
(Father) Yes, it’s great, but it’s so far away.. (Aurélien) Yes, for sure !
(Father) Because I would like to go there more often .. First, we’ll make the preparations for the chips,to fry them at the last moment,
just before eating. Then we prepare the roast beef. (Father) Butter is fabulous! It’s important, because even if there’s a lot of it, you’re not necessarily going to eat it, it’s going to contribute to the taste of the sauce. (Father) A bit of the famous Guerande salt as always !
(Aurélien) The renowned one! (Aurélien) We have a large stock of butter. 7 packs.
(Father) We still used a lot of it ! (Mother) In the stock there are everyday butter and cooking butter which are different. (Father) We are going to have an extraordinary sauce, with water, garlic, butter and beef blood. While waiting for the beef to cook, we’ll start eating melon as a starter. In France, it is still common to have a meal organised as a starter, main course, cheese and dessert.
We don’t do this every day, of course, but at important meals we do. (Father) Do you want some Rosé Mummy ?
(Mother) Thank you ! It is very French to eat melon with bread and butter. I don’t know if it’s shocking,
but tell me what you think. It’s very, very good ! We have finished eating the melon, the roast is now well cooked. (Aurélien) Ouuuh ! It smells very good, and looks very, very delicious !
We have enough of meat for the whole week ! (Father) Do you think so ? (hehe)
(Aurélien) Seems perfectly cooked ! (Father) Voilà ! First bath ! (Father) The sauce is great, frankly ! It is a sauce that is huge !
(Aurélien) Oooooh ! (Aurélien) Dipping the bread in the sauce is really insane, but it’s not healthy at all ! And now, the fabulous Tiramisu ! It is truly a cult dessert in the family.
It’s a dessert my mother has made since we were little. Every time we go home, we ask for a tiramisu!
So I’m very, very happy to eat it ! Often, after the meal, we watch an episode of a series together,
drinking coffee and eating chocolates. Even though I ate a lot, we are very greedy in the family, so we keep eating !
Now you know why I put on 10 kilos when I came back to France ! (Haha) Well well ! End of the day, it’s quite late !
In our family, we don’t get up really early, but we go to bed quite late. That was nice ! We did a lot of things, so I hope you enjoyed it !
I couldn’t go into detail about many things unfortunately. So let me know if there are things you want to see, for example
I haven’t fully shown you what a French house looks like compared to Japan. Perhaps you would like to take a tour of the city of Nice.
I’d like to do that with you, make it look like we’re walking together. Going to cafes, restaurants or traditional shops,
places that would not necessarily be touristy. Again, I hope you enjoyed it. It was quite touching for me to make this video,
because I’m showing you my personal day-to-day life that I’ve never shown to anyone obviously. So it was quite emotional for me, it’s a routine I have
with my parents from when I was younger. And I was happy to show it to you because now we’ve known each other for a long time,
