What Our Cozy Nights at Home Look Like 🌙 | Homemade Butter Chicken, Garlic Toast & DIY Fun 🍛 | VLOG

A warm welcome to our shared diary~ Tonight we felt like experimenting, so we’re making a dish we’ve never tried before.
Well… if we can even find all the ingredients 🤣 (Well… if we can even find all the ingredients 🤣) Yep… we’re making our very first Indian dish, butter chicken! ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜ We really want to try it with a garlic buttery toast, so that’s where we start Except for the butter and cheese, add all the ingredients into the mixing bowl Knead the dough until it becomes smooth and lightly elastic Something like this will do hehe Now add butter and cheese Keep kneading and with a bit of patience it should get close to a glove film Something like this will do hehe (Let’s see…👀) Good enough for us 🥹 Shape the dough into a round ball and let it rise until doubled In the meantime let’s prepare our butter chicken~ ٩(^ᗜ^ )و ´- Cut chicken thigh or breast into perfect bite sized cubes.
(We usually go for thighs since they’re more tender) Time for the marinade >⩊< Why did we choose this dish for our first Indian recipe? 💭 Because it’s our forever go to Indian dish and it has never let us down hehe Finely grate some garlic and ginger and add them into the mixture Give it a tiny stir until everything blends happily together By the way, we followed an online recipe, so we’d love any tips to make it even better. Now add the chicken cubes in~ Coat the chicken evenly with the marinade and let it sit for 30 minutes Let’s do a little chopping for later ₍ᵔ.˛.ᵔ₎ Chop a red onion into tiny pieces Do the same for a few tomatoes too They will come in handy very soon (⸝⸝> ᴗ•⸝⸝) Since the dough is almost doubled, let’s make the garlic butter spread for our bread Finely mince a big handful of garlic Partially melt some butter using a quick Bain Marie method, our little cozy trick Once it’s half melted… add 1g dried parsley, 15g honey, and a spoonful of garlic Mix until everything blends together (੭˃ᴗ˂)੭ Poke test time~~ Our first rise is done! ✅ Spread the dough onto a flat surface Use a rolling pin to roll it into a rectangle Spread the garlic butter all the way to the edges, no corner left behind 💛 Sprinkle 130g of mozzarella cheese all over Cut the dough into small rectangles that match the size of our loaf tin Stack them up gently Somehow it feels like stacking little folded clothes haha Place the stack into the loaf tin Let it rise again in the oven at 30 degrees
(we’ll be right back with you~🙌) Back to the butter chicken prep~ Sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant Add all the spices in and stir for a while The smell is already getting there~ so exciting（˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶） Add 3 tbsp of tomato paste and all the chopped tomatoes Stir fry for a moment…
then add enough water to just cover everything and simmer for 15 minutes Jas: Is it done rising? (confused) Jas: I think it’s ready 🥰 Now that it has risen, we just need to brush the top with egg wash This helps create a crisp outside, soft inside, and a more beautiful colour too hehe The kitchen smells incredible!! ✨ Bake the bread at 180 degrees for 30 minutes Remove the cinnamon stick and bay leaves from the sauce Blend the sauce until smooth and creamy and set aside Pan fry the marinated chicken on medium low heat until the surface is lightly charred If there’s a lot, cook it in batches ദ്ദി(ᵔᗜᵔ) Pour the blended curry sauce over the chicken Add 100g of cream and a small knob of butter for that buttery hug Finish up with parsley or coriander if you like
(We added a bit of extra cream too) Oh nooo >.< We almost forgot about it so the top is a tiny bit dark… but let’s check the inside We were busy perfecting the butter chicken and nearly forgot our bread friend… fingers crossed! Waaa the inside looks good! Phew, so relieved~ we thought it was going to be a sad no bread night haha And of course a tear test! (Let us know if you think it passed ^.^) Bread tastes the best straight out of the oven, right? A little snack before dinner never hurts ( ≧ᗜ≦) As a small side dish we’re making prosciutto rockmelon rolls Peel and deseed the rockmelon It’s the second peak season for rockmelons here in Australia, so we’re not sure how sweet it’ll be... Cut a few pieces into small slices Since we bought a big one we also cut some into cubes as our fruit dessert Lay the prosciutto flat and spread on some cream cheese (we using Philadelphia cheese~) A piece of rockmelon and a small handful of rocket and roll it up gently A drizzle of balsamic vinegar A little extra kick on top 🔥 Dinner time, we can’t wait any longer (⸝⸝⸝>﹏<⸝⸝⸝) A glass of iced tea and...🍹 Cheers to us!! 💛 Jas: Chicken cheers too hahaha L&J: Cheers~~~ mhmm delicious! (⸝⸝⸝>﹏<⸝⸝⸝) The butter chicken tasted incredible and pairing it with the bread was such a joy The side dish was amazing too! the rockmelon was surprisingly sweet ✨💕 Feeling grateful for everything tonight 🥰 Reiya-san had a tiny little accident today and… she got it on herself haha 🤭 Even though it all happened so suddenly, we still come prepared! Cozy atmosphere ON! hi. A tiny snack to comfort our princess Reiya has never been too scared of baths, but even so we usually avoid washing her since cats clean themselves Today… we had no choice at all 🥲 We’re cleaning her bathtub nicely so she gets the best spa experience hehe Leo’s gonna test the water with his hand... Lukewarm, close to body temperature, so it’s not too cold or too hot Water temperature check complete! ( ദ്ദി ˙ᗜ˙ ) Jas: Reiya, you know what’s about to happen right? Leo: It’s okay it’s okay, relax relax, nothing’s scary~ Jas: Awww Reiya it’s alright sweetie Jas: You just got a little messy on yourself Jas: Time for a bath now, you’re a bit stinky, stinky~ 💛 Bath time~ 🛀 Leo: Careful Reiya, little water coming your way~ (We also cleaned her eye boogies while we were at it) she’s truly an angel, such a gentle girl 🥹💕 Leo: Reiya is the sweetest cat in the whole world, isn’t that right? Reiya is truly one of a kind and we’re so grateful for her The most surprising part is that her breeder once told us no one wanted her because of the little mark near her eye... But to us this tiny mark is her special charm, something completely hers, and part of what makes her Reiya Leo: Big day for you huh, little one Jas: There will be sooo many yummy snacks later! Leo: Alright, let’s go Drying her fur is super important too We never want her to get cold, so we keep her cozy on a warm towel and dry her slowly and gently It’s a long process, but we’ll do anything to keep her healthy... Because nothing matters more than that. Somebody is clearly in a full snack mood now 😂 Jas: Okay okay you’ll get it now, let me break it into little pieces Jas: Ohhh I know I know, I know how much you want it We always give her snacks after moments like this, so she ends with a better memory 💕 Since I’m not very into weight lifting, Leo’s been coming back from the gym early so we can do cardio together 🥰 It’s mostly just a 30–45 minute uphill walk and some videos to pass the time haha Not that high intensity, but it does the job and keeps our body and mind healthier Done!! ✅ after a warm shower... We’re now making a simple drink to pair with our creative night! It's gonna be a buttery latte ( • ̀ω•́ )✧ Add 16g of cream and 24g of brown sugar Then add in about 7g of butter And eyeball a tiny pinch of salt Heat it up until it gets bubbly 🫧 Accident incoming in 3, 2, 1… Oopss.. Challenges come and go, but our vacuum friend saves the day like a true hero Looks like we need to grind more coffee now since it all spilled haha Adversities are meant to be there. They’re little challenges that help us level up. Just a little reminder that everything will be okay, so let’s keep our heads up Powder gone, powder returned! We’re making a coffee-style milk foam… doesn’t it sound delicious? And trust me, IT REALLY IS! 🤩 We’ll need about 20ml of coffee concentrate per cup Drip drip drip Add about 50ml of cream and mix in the coffee Now whisk it just like a normal milk foam Use the butter syrup to swirl the cup... a chance to be creative with your own buttery masterpiece 🥳 Pour the rest into the bottom... Fill the cup with milk until it’s about 70 to 80 percent full We wanted to give it a blurred look so… (feel free to leave it as it is) Pour the coffee foam on top Finish with a little brown sugar beauty ✨ Drink ready! Fun timeee! 🎉 Jas: This is a little doggy house Leo: Ohh this is his little villa Jas: Exactly haha Yep, we’re making another DIY miniature house from Rolife 🙌 (unboxing...) This one is going to be easier than our previous ones It’s a basic level, so something chill but still fun~ Unwrapping each component always feels like opening presents And every little item inside surprises us like a real gift Jas: This is a little bear 🧸 Jas: and here’s a tiny keyboard and its screen Since we’ve already made two, we’re getting faster at everything now This one uses a snap-on system, super simple and perfect for beginners The stickers are always super cute and detailed! (I just can’t 🥹) Each one is so thoughtful and beautifully drawn This “pawn” sticker is actually the cabinet handle hehe Jas: Wow this is their couple photo, they’re a couple too, so cute L&J: Okayyy (us being silly as always haha) Cheers~~Sip time! 💕 This tiny chair is way too realistic and he even has to sit on it hahaha Now I’m making a custom blanket for him ME in full concentration mode~ 😤 A comfy bed is a must for a proper house right? Sticking and folding here and there… let’s see if it fits~ It seems to fit perfectly~~ happy with it! It even has a dog-face eye mask haha And of course his little bear buddy Now we’re talking… There's a coffee machine too! Gotta make that coffee every morning ^.^ Now taking out the main parts of the house... The walls are always so colourful and full of happy vibes Doesn’t it even sound like a real house when it cracks a little haha We set up the lights already, let’s see if we did it right Leo: Wow it’s so bright! Building these miniature houses might seem childish to some... But It’s not really about the activity itself... The most precious part is spending time and laughing with the people you love These tiny boxes are so realistic and cute, like we’re doing real packing work haha And these mini corked bottles are adorable How cute is this tiny lamp? Every little item makes my heart so soft (ㅅ´ ˘ `) And this mini computer with his own picture as the background….💛 It even opens and closes We’re basically done now! Just need to assemble all the parts together (૭ ｡•̀ ᵕ •́｡ )૭ Seeing everything come out right, just like the cover picture, is such a heart-warming moment We talked about bringing them back to China for our new home as decoration Each miniature house holds a little moment of our life, and we’ll never leave them behind This little stone walkway is so cute, and his food bowl goes right here (˶˃⤙˂˶) Imagine actually swinging here, so dreamy Every house needs a welcome sign and some flowers, right? 🌻 We had so much fun~~ and as the final step, we always look inside and imagine living in there haha Thank you for watching, we hope you enjoyed this vlog See you soon! 🥰💕
