结婚10周年纪念日❤️我把台湾阿里山的秘密武器㊙️带进了温哥华米其林推荐 首创炙烤寿司店🍣Miku两款超火🔥怀石料理大比拼👍|温哥华吃什么😋
Hello everyone, today is our 10th wedding anniversary , so we’re going to eat at Miku, a long-established Japanese restaurant in Vancouver. This restaurant is super famous in Vancouver; if you’re visiting Vancouver and want to eat Japanese food, this is the top choice. Everyone recommends it because it’s located on the Waterfront, so you can see the ocean – it ‘s beautiful and stunning ! It ‘s also near the Five Sails Plaza. You can choose your seating according to your preference: at the bar, on high stools , or at a regular table. Window seats are optional, but not guaranteed. We chose 5:30 pm, so it’s not too busy yet. Hello , welcome! Have you been to Miku before? This is our first time! It’s fantastic, welcome! We just upgraded our kaiseki menu. If you’d like to try our chef’s selection of special kaiseki dishes, that’s a great choice. Kaiseki cuisine offers two set menus, each with detailed information on the dishes. The Waterfront set menu features six dishes , a collection of our most popular items. The Miku set menu is seasonal, changing annually; this particular Miku set menu was updated just a month ago and includes seven dishes, featuring many items not found on our regular menu. This set menu beautifully combines sea urchin, lobster, duck, beef sashimi, and sushi —truly a diverse selection. If you decide to order kaiseki, you must order two sets, but they can be different. Therefore, we recommend the kaiseki set menu. If you desire a more comprehensive experience, this is an excellent choice , allowing you to savor a rich variety of flavors, including all the signature dishes. We suggest the kaiseki set menu, a feast for the eyes, nose, and palate, featuring many different dishes. There are two set menus to choose from : Waterfront and Miku. There’s a six-course meal for CAD 135 and a seven-course meal for CAD 180. He said it’s like ordering kaiseki cuisine, which offers a more comprehensive experience, as everything is a chef’s special selection. So we decided to order two different kaiseki sets to try more varieties. We ordered the Waterfront set for CAD 135 and the Miku set for CAD 180. I really want to take a cruise in Vancouver! Why is this pier ? Well, its cruise ships go to Japan. How many days does it take to get to Japan ? Maybe half a month. It ‘s a one-way trip, meaning once you get there , they don’t care anymore, haha. No, you won’t go for 15 days and then come back. It ‘s a long-haul cruise, a one-way trip to Japan, and then some people take it from Japan to Vancouver. Oh, so we’re ordering sake. Ordering sake in this kind of restaurant is a blind order, because you can’t read Japanese or English. You can only understand the description , but you can’t distinguish the names. Look at all these… I don’t understand any of these English names . Our two set meals are an extra 50 yuan for the 135 yuan Korean meal ( which includes wine), and the 180 yuan kaiseki meal is an extra 60 yuan that also includes wine. But we’re planning to order wine , not sake , so we’re going to order a bottle of sake. Of course, I’ll be drinking most of it. We brought a secret weapon today just in case they don’t have wasabi , which is perfect for our wedding anniversary. If they have fresh wasabi , we’ll have fresh wasabi; if not, I have white wasabi sauce —it’s a gift from my sister Zhenzhen from Alishan! Perfect for a trip! Okay, you deserve it, haha. Zhenzhen gave it to me when it was so thoughtful! It’s not the kind you have to scoop out at home ; you can just squeeze it directly. Hello, we can order now. We’ll have one of each of the two kaiseki set meals. Great! Also, a 720ml bottle of sake. Do you have fresh wasabi? No, we don’t have fresh wasabi , but ours is very good. However, some dishes in kaiseki are already seasoned. I’ll also bring our wasabi so you can try it. He said he didn’t have fresh wasabi, but he said their wasabi was very good. Is it as good as mine? Let me look up the difference between wasabi and horseradish. Wasabi is wasabi, and horseradish is horseradish. Horseradish is the mustard sauce that foreigners eat ; it’s called horseradish, so it’s not a type of wasabi. GPT says most restaurants use fake wasabi instead. What is fake wasabi? It’s something with some chemicals. Wasabi is Japanese wasabi, and horseradish is Western horseradish. Most of the wasabi in sushi is actually horseradish dyed green. Fake wasabi is actually a mixture of horseradish, mustard powder, and green pigment . So the green wasabi you eat in regular Japanese restaurants , even high-end sushi restaurants, is actually a horseradish product. Fresh wasabi— Japanese fresh wasabi— is made from freshly ground wasabi . Yes, so this wasabi sauce is actually fresh wasabi sauce. So, besides white wasabi, are there other colors of wasabi? Because this says white… Wasabi, if it weren’t raining outside today, we should be able to see the sunset. As night falls, we’ll talk about our love. We’ll put a candle on each table and drink sake from this cup. Is this the cup we use to drink sake? What special day are we celebrating today? Our wedding anniversary? Happy wedding anniversary! Thank you! Happy 10th anniversary! Happy 10th anniversary! Hmm, let me show you this bottle. This bottle suits us perfectly today, it suits our wedding anniversary perfectly . Oh, why is it this color? Yes, this is the anniversary. It’s called Kid because it’s light, it’s light. This bottle represents our simple ten years together . Ten years! Ah, 10 years ago, I was such a beautiful girl , such a handsome young man, hahaha! 10 years later, I’m at home chopping chicken, my hands are so clumsy you can tell it’s from chopping chicken and cooking. Who would have thought that ten years ago I would love cooking so much? Chopping chicken and killing fish every day at home … The other day I saw that Yuwei… My college classmate , I remember her hands were so soft and smooth when she was little because we always held hands when we went out to play. Yesterday, I noticed her hands looked a bit more weathered than before. We’re both housewives, and last night she cooked while we chatted. When we were kids , we talked about how to skip class and how to be lazy; now we talk about husband management and cooking tips . The other day, Yuwei wanted to take me to dig for geoduck and collect oysters, but the weather hasn’t been good these past few days, which is a bit of a shame. So today I told Yuwei that next time we’ll find a better time . It’s so convenient to come to Canada in the summer, whether by plane or car, it’s very convenient. So next time we’ll find a special time specifically to go beachcombing, right? Right, just to eat the seafood we dig ourselves, that would be even better. And now it’s cold and the weather isn’t good, so if you dig it during the day, you can grill it at night . Oh, right , we went to a small alley in Japan, or Korea, or somewhere else ? Do you remember? We went there twice , I think it was in a small alley. It’s a bit of a pity that I didn’t film the restaurant back then . Now I think the advantage of filming is that I can record many of the things I’ve eaten . Then, when I want to eat there again, I can look back at the videos . Because I didn’t film the food before, I only took pictures of the scenery. I didn’t even know what I ate . So now I think the advantage of filming is that it’s also a way of recording myself, a bit like a food catalog. This is the first dish at Waterfront, and this is the first dish at Miku. Let me introduce them. The oysters are from Nova Scotia, Canada, and are topped with salmon roe . The scallops are from Hokkaido, Japan, with yuzu soy sauce and caviar on top. Your sea urchin mousse is made with Japanese sea urchin and raw marinated scallops. It’s topped with sake jelly, which has a very refreshing taste and can refresh your mouth for the next dish. Thank you. There are bubbles in here. Is it good? Your oyster is delicious. It’s so delicious. This sea urchin is also delicious. I think we should eat this oyster for breakfast. I’ve never eaten sake-flavored jelly before, so this is a sake to cleanse your mouth. Jelly can’t taste the sake. Maybe it’s because we’re drinking sake. Try this scallop; it has ponzu sauce inside . Delicious ! The next dish is sashimi. Yours and mine are both sashimi. Wow, the next dish is this! The most exciting moment! Do you think this set meal is enough to fill you up? Yes, yes! Drink more alcohol ! Drink more water! I want to ask him how many glasses of wine are included in the 70 and 55 CAD add-ons? Is the food okay? Very good ! I have a question. The Miku set meal is 70 CAD and the Waterfront set meal is 55 CAD. How many glasses of wine are included? So, the 55 and 70 CAD add-ons are for each course, each with a different wine. Yes, each course has a different wine. That’s good ; each course has a different flavor, right? They’re professionally paired wines. I think if you order this kaiseki set meal, you can drink beverages. Adding 55 or 70 to the pairing will allow you to taste more of the liquor. This darker sauce is his own homemade soy sauce, while this is regular soy sauce . This one is a bit sweet, and this one has a particularly strong bonito and kelp flavor. These two have different flavors. I can’t wait! Looks like our second course is about to start ! The soy sauce is here! Scallops, yellowtail, and bluefin tuna are all quite oily sashimi. We recommend using the sweet soy sauce on the left, as it pairs very well with the yellowtail and scallops. This dish is already seasoned, so you don’t need to dip it in soy sauce. There’s sea bream, smoked yellowtail, and kelp-marinated bluefin tuna. Please enjoy! So, your sashimi is already seasoned, while mine isn’t. I can use the sweet soy sauce, but why does it automatically assume you’re eating the 180 yuan set meal while I’m eating the 135 yuan one? The 135 yuan one is yours, and the 180 yuan one is mine! Hahaha , doesn’t he know what happy wife happy is ? The “life” thing… Here comes the main event! The shared plate is quite nice. The advantage of this set meal is that each dish comes with two slices, so we can share. The more expensive kaiseki set meal is more creative and infused with its own soul— the soul of the seasonings—making it richer . The cheaper kaiseki set meal, on the other hand, is just unseasoned sashimi. The raw fish seems so-so. Do you think it doesn’t match my wasabi? Was the wasabi and raw fish left out for a while? The raw fish is so-so. The signature sake in kaiseki is presented very richly and beautifully. What do you think is the difference between yours and mine ? Both are just so-so. It’s a shame we didn’t order the big one. I thought the sashimi platter with fish was just okay . I’m really looking forward to their seared sushi; I heard it’s incredibly fragrant. I think it’s probably because it’s seared— sealing is its specialty . Yes, right ? Yes, both of these kaiseki dishes feature lobster. Thank you . The lobster lemon marinated sushi has lobster, tomato, and salsa on top, with fish roe and yuzu. Please mix it with the lobster meat before eating. The other side also has yuzu broth and lobster bisque, served with black lentils, mushrooms, and pickles. This is Japanese lime—a very refreshing flavor. Thank you. Is this still Japanese? Are Japanese limes this small? Yes,
this is Japanese; it definitely has a Japanese characteristic. This is Japanese lime. Imported from Japan . I can’t mold lime properly; it’s so dry. Very Japanese, very Japanese. You want to eat those shrimp chips, right? Those fried chips on top… give me a piece so I can try them . I’ll take yours, this is fine. Hmm, not bad. Oh, this is… this is… this is … mixed with fish roe and various other ingredients… chopped lobster. Mine is in chunks. Hmm, yours is delicious. This is good, especially delicious . Hmm, it’s a cold dish , and the overall texture is very light and rich. This is a hot dish , the 135 set meal, the kaiseki cuisine is better than this 180 one. Hmm, I think so too, don’t you? Hmm, you know why ? Because neither of us likes big lobster meat, and this lobster meat, because it’s mixed with fish roe and various other ingredients, is a bit like … a bit like salsa. Hmm , right? Yes , mixed in… Together , then add lime juice. It already has lime juice , but of course, this lime juice might not be the Japanese kind, right? But it’s more refreshing and crisp . So, you’re a Mexican sweetheart ,
it’s kind of like a Mexican 180 set meal. There’s also something not on the menu in the middle because the next course is duck, so it’s meant to wash away the seafood taste in your mouth. So they also gave you something, I don’t know what it is, but try it . It has mint in it , which helps to remove the fishy taste from your mouth. Because the next course is duck, a sweet and sour bubble. I came here dressed up for Halloween. Today is Halloween, our wedding anniversary, so there will be lots of Halloween decorations on the streets later. So many Halloween decorations! Applewood-smoked duck with matsutake mushrooms. I’m taking the glass cover away. Please enjoy, thank you. This duck is cooked like this, you have to shake it a few times. When you take it out of the pot, you have to shake it like this. It really is cooked the same way. What kind of matsutake is in here ? There’s just a small piece of matsutake here. One piece of matsutake plus three slices of duck. Let me try this duck . This duck is quite delicious. It has a very strong smoky flavor, so it’s very impactful when you eat it. Chew it a bit , and once you get used to the smoky flavor of this duck, it’s just ordinary. But the taste is still pretty good. Hmm, not bad. Let me try this matsutake mushroom. It’s just matsutake without too much seasoning , just the natural umami flavor of the mushroom. Kyoto Saikyo miso cod is amazing. Saikyo miso marinade. Below is Japanese pumpkin and mushroom puree . The noodles are made with miso sauce, and the beef is from Japan. It’s a sauce made with sea salt, wasabi, and soy sauce. In Japan, we dip our steaks in wasabi. Please try this. There are also some Japanese mushrooms. Thank you. This is a mixture of wasabi and miso next to it. So, Japanese people dip their steaks in wasabi; they have a habit of dipping them in wasabi. She said , “So, that girl was Japanese, right ? Come and try it. Both of them are Japanese. Oh, right, the first girl was Japanese. Try our Wagyu beef. The wasabi and miso dipping the Wagyu is pretty good . This is delicious. Ah, the Wagyu is pretty good, very fragrant. Its grilled aroma is particularly strong . And then, with this miso and wasabi seasoning… um, this wasabi…” Hmm, this wasabi shouldn’t be the chemical wasabi. This should be real wasabi. It’s very fragrant when mixed with miso, super fragrant . The Wagyu beef is pretty good. Hmm, try a bite of it alone. The sauce is especially delicious. This is mushroom. Hmm, this is wasabi. I think your Wagyu beef is very delicious. Let me try my fish. I think it’s not as good as your Wagyu beef. Let me try this fish. It’s not bad, not bad, but compared to your Wagyu beef, this mushroom, and this wasabi sauce, it ‘s very delicious . It’s just ordinary fish, just regular fish. The meat isn’t top-grade Wagyu, but it’s cooked very well. Yes, because it has a little bit of tendon in it, which is delicious and satisfying . Next is what I’m most looking forward to today , but I would never normally order sushi because their seared sushi is their specialty. Last course, last one. After the last course, there’s still dessert. How much have you eaten? I think you’re pretty full . Maybe another sushi and dessert ? That should be enough. Yes , I was worried I wouldn’t be full, considering our appetites . I think all the dishes we’ve had so far are at least 7.5 out of 10 ; they’re all pretty good. Nothing was particularly bad or special. It’s just that I personally don’t think it’s that delicious . For example, if you treat it like a Japanese restaurant , and you eat Japanese food like you would, it’s not as good. You can’t compare it to Japan. But this dim sum here feels similar to Hong Kong, yes , local. But I think it might be because this restaurant is more creative. Happiness is given to me, hehe . My happiness is your happiness. Happy! Wife, happy life ! Wow, you have so many wishes! Wishing you happiness for the next ten years! We celebrate our wedding anniversaries in different places every year because we don’t have kids , so there’s no pressure of taking children trick-or-treating. So for Halloween, we either leave a box of candy outside for the kids to take , or we stay home and turn off the lights, pretending no one’s home. Last time, we bought a whole box of candy and put it by the door, but before we even started , around 8 pm, the box was gone! Then, the following year, I wrote a note on the outside of my box of candy saying I could only take 10 at most . Since I had prepared a huge box of candy, I figured I could only take 10, so I limited it . Now, there’s still half a box left. Back in Los Angeles, for a few years we ‘d decorate our front yard for Halloween and for Christmas we’d put up snowmen—you know, fake snowmen, inflatable decorations. But we found it too much work, and then we’d have to install those lights ourselves. Hiring someone to install those lights costs three or four hundred dollars, three or four hundred dollars! And since we had nothing else to do, we’d just sit there watching them slowly. The string lights were so difficult, so incredibly difficult! We thought we could manage , but everyone else was stringing them straight, perfectly aligned with the eaves. Ours kept falling down, sometimes forming an irregular wave shape. That was okay , but sometimes when it rained, they’d get stuck , and then I’d have to fix the safety harness, and then the next day I’d wrap them with tape, and then I’d wrap them more and more, because of the rain. So , in the end, I figured it was still a waste of money. It’s better to hire someone to make it for two or three hundred yuan. The Miku set meal has marinated bluefin tuna and Japanese mackerel with ginger and scallions (I didn’t understand). The bluefin tuna is topped with sea urchin and caviar. This plate is our specialty, seared sushi (a bunch of fish in a jumble, the subtitle team is getting impatient). Not bad. The richness of salmon must be shared with me, so I cut it in half. Hmm, I think it’s very fragrant. Hmm, I think this seared salmon sushi is better than plain salmon sushi, right? It’s especially fragrant . This is a pleasant surprise. We don’t usually like eating salmon sashimi , but this way of grilling it, we don’t know… Is it because of its seasoning or something that it ‘s so special and fragrant ? That’s why the salmon sushi and seared sushi are their most popular. This is another seared sushi, which is also quite delicious. The sushi is okay. So their sushi is a specialty. Was your lobster sushi good? Yes, it was delicious ! This one is wrapped with a piece of some kind of fish on top, I don’t know what kind of fish it is, and then the outside is fish roe. Their sushi is pretty good . Yes, their seared sushi is really delicious. Yes, because the two of us don’t usually like to eat sushi, we usually eat sashimi. Because American sushi rolls, like in California… Rainbow rolls and other rolls are all just big, clunky rolls that I don’t like. But this restaurant’s sushi is outstanding and very unique . 7.8/ 7.8. What do you think of the sushi? The best dish so far was the most popular seared sushi. The mixed dish was a special sushi. Thank you . So, everything we just ate was from the menu special. The most popular dish on the menu is today’s special set meal , which isn’t on the menu. Of course, there are some more special ones, like this one. Do you know why it doesn’t taste as good as this one? Well , it’s because of the fish. It’s still raw fish. Yes , the fish on top… When we ate the raw fish sashimi course earlier, we all felt that the sashimi wasn’t particularly good. We all agreed that the menu special is the cheaper set meal at Waterfront. The 135 set meal was better than the kaiseki sushi. We thought the 135 set meal was better , and the lobster course was also better. Actually, the 180 set meal had very good Wagyu beef, but it had a piece of tendon in it . It wasn’t the highest grade Wagyu beef, but it was grilled very well. However, I think you don’t necessarily have to eat Wagyu beef here . Without this set meal price, you can’t get very good Wagyu beef. So, I think the 135 set meal is just right to get all their specialties. If you really want to eat uni , you can order sea urchin separately. Or you can order some sea urchin sashimi. Are you looking forward to dessert? I am ! I’m looking forward to it. I’d give it an 8.0 rating. I’m already very full. Should we put away our wasabi sauce? Do n’t forget to put away our important ingredient for today. Don’t forget it. Next time we eat Japanese food, we ‘ll need it again. We can find a small izakaya or something and try the Green Tea from the Waterfront set meal. Opera is our signature dessert, a seven-layer cake that takes three days to make. It features matcha buttercream, dark chocolate whipped cream, red bean cream, lupin wafers, and matcha ice cream. This is our seasonal pumpkin mille-feuille cake with caramelized butter, salted caramel, Monterey orange, and fennel yogurt ice cream. Their signature dessert is this matcha cake, which has seven layers and takes three days to make. It’s a happy anniversary cake that’s sweet but not too sweet, haha. But the sauce on the side is quite delicious. Do you know what its advantage is? The advantage of its desserts is that they are not so monotonous. There are many flavors. It not only has cake , but also fruit , the dipping sauce, chocolate , ice cream , and sesame crisps. So it gives you a little bit of everything. It’s not the kind of big chunk that makes you feel burdened . Each flavor is sweet and sour , and there are also crispy and thin pieces. Is it 8 points? 8 points, 8 points, haha . It’s rare for us to give a dessert an 8 point because we don’t usually eat desserts. Today, I successfully checked out Miku, a long-established and popular Japanese restaurant in Vancouver. I think I give it 8 points because it has… Three points because of our wedding anniversary! And it’s because of me! If it weren’t for me, this restaurant would only be 8-5 , 8-3, how much is 5 ? We still have many more 10 years to go ! Happy wedding anniversary! Happy anniversary to us! Happy anniversary to us ! Happy anniversary to us! How do you say “Happy anniversary to you”? Hahaha, same, same, same, all the same! Our anniversary dinner cost 570 Canadian dollars. It was two set menus, plus tax, totaling 475. Yes , two set menus, one 180 and one 135, plus two green teas for 6 dollars and a drink for 120 , totaling 441. Then, with all the taxes, the total was 475. We gave a 20% tip, so the total cost was 570 Canadian dollars. The tipping options were 18%, 20, and 22%. We chose the 20% discount option , but the waiter’s service was truly excellent, maximizing our emotional experience. He even told us at the end that we had many, many more decades to come . Today was our wedding anniversary, and our Vancouver wedding was a resounding success at Miku, a Japanese restaurant specializing in grilled sushi! Overall rating: 8/ 8.2 . Oh, 8.2? Hey, you paid for your own tea and then ordered more? We bought our own tea; if he had given it to us, it would have been a 9! Haha. This place is so grand! The decorations are so elaborate, the whole street is decorated so grandly ! Hey, this isn’t scary at all, it’s cute!
