【下呂温泉】今宵天空に遊ぶしょうげつ 78㎡パノラマビュー客室|日本一のお米×5等級飛騨牛|温泉街はしご酒まで完全レビュー

We found this lodging in the sky in Gero Onsen, with 21 rooms and an elevation of 800m. You can see the whole of Gero townscape from your room . It’s won the Japan ‘s best rice award . How much does this lodging cost? Is it worth the price? We’ll give you our honest review at the end of the video! In the second half of the video, we’ll cover: A restaurant specializing in seasonal sweetfish; bar hopping in Gero Onsen town; and a stroll around Gero’s hot spring town. Please watch until the end. Today, I’m visiting Gero Onsen, a historic hot spring resort in Gifu Prefecture that’s considered one of Japan’s three most famous hot springs. To get to Gero Onsen from Tokyo or Osaka, take the JR Wide View Hida express train via Nagoya to Gero Station. Since the weather was nice, I’m taking it easy by car. We’ll be heading up the hill to our lodging for the night. It’s a lovely road with lots of greenery and it’s on high ground, so I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of view we’ll get. This is the inn where I’ll be staying: “Koyoi Tenku ni Asobu Shougetsu.” Just the exterior alone is enough to fill me with excitement. The path to the front entrance is amazing, and you can enter while enjoying the view. There’s also plenty of greenery here, which adds to the charm. From the entrance, you’ll find tatami mats. I felt the warmth of the wood. The flowers and hanging scrolls displayed in the alcove were refreshing. I wonder what other seasonal decorations they have. The lobby is also wrapped in a calming space. And the breathtaking view unfolds before my eyes. It’s worth coming just to see this view. From inside the hotel, I could see a beautiful garden. Silence is the ultimate luxury. The open lounge allows me to forget about my daily life. I checked in with a welcome drink and some sweets. The beautiful hotel is picturesque no matter where you look . The small Japanese garden, located in a random spot, is soothing. This is a unique exhibit called “Earthen Geta.” At the back of the Japanese garden, there was a yukata corner where you could choose your favorite color yukata. Deciding which one to choose is also fun. There was also a souvenir corner. I couldn’t help but stare at the tasteful items. There were many adorable Mino ware dishes that make great souvenirs . There was also a rabbit at the front desk! So cute! The summery decorations were lovely. There was also a souvenir corner and pillow selection next to the front desk. You could choose a pillow of the height and firmness that suits you. There were also cute mascots! 。 … The room number lights are cute, and the room keys have bells attached, which is really cute! Let’s go in! Once inside… a picturesque view jumps out at me . Now, let’s take a look at the long-awaited, spectacular view… This view is truly breathtaking ! The window of the central room is wider than the rooms on either side, offering a panoramic view. The spacious entrance hall also features a subtle vase, adding a touch of style . This is the 12.5-tatami room, which is very beautiful in the video, but in person it’s truly picturesque. The curtains are electric and can be opened and closed with the push of a button. There were also small flowers on the table. The sweets served with the room were “Shirasagi Monogatari,” a Gero specialty with a simple, gentle taste that has been loved for ages. They even had small boxes for accessories… 。 English : I’m really impressed by this kind of thoughtfulness. A letter set is provided so you can write down your memories of your trip, and even postcards and letter paper are included. This is a service that overseas visitors will appreciate. The cushions are plump and thick, and extremely comfortable to sit on. The alcove is simple and understated, yet has a beautiful harmony. This is a relaxing space with a wide veranda sofa. The TV is positioned low so as not to obstruct the spectacular view. The closet is also spacious enough, so you can rest assured even if you’re staying for a long time. This is a haori (coat). It’s smooth and comfortable to wear, and these are room wear. It’s nice to have something to relax in the room other than a yukata. There are obi and tabi socks for men and women. The colors are cute, so I’m looking forward to matching them with a yukata. There are also bags for storing yukata and other items provided separately for men and women. This is convenient for when you go to the large public bath. This is the 6-tatami bedroom. This comforter is surprisingly light. A nice touch for a great night’s sleep. The pillows are also very fluffy. 。。。 English: It was so comfortable I fell asleep right away The mattress was neither too hard nor too soft and was very comfortable to sleep on There was also a humidifier and air purifier The wood grain design made it a perfect addition to the room’s interior There was a tea set just inside the entrance This was the inn’s original coffee It came in cute packaging which was very soothing There was also an electric kettle, a bottle opener and wet towels were provided Snacks were also available to go with the alcohol in the room for an additional fee Water was free and one bottle per person was free There was a wide variety of drinks in the refrigerator which were charged for There are two types of beer, which is a great point for those who like alcohol, and there are also three types of soft drinks. – look, there were chilled glasses A great sense of hospitality is shown here Ice cream was also provided Perfect for after a bath This is the bathroom and bath The spacious sink can be used comfortably by two people side by side Skin care products are available for both men and women This blue one is for men and has a refreshing feel And this is for women It’s nice that they have separate skin care products for men and women! The towels were fluffy and very comfortable. The amenities were in a drawstring bag, so you could take them right to the large public bath. The men’s amenities are separated by gender, which is a great sign of hospitality. Of course, there’s also a hair dryer. It has enough airflow, so it’s perfect for those with long hair. The bath mat is a soft, soft toweling color. The bath towels are also fluffy and thick, so they feel good against the skin. The magnifying mirror is also great for women, and is very convenient for applying makeup. The bathroom is made of cypress. The cypress scent wafts through the air when you open the bathtub door. The bath amenities also have a nice fragrance, and the restroom is spotlessly clean. Since we had time before dinner, we decided to go sightseeing in Gero. We went to the long-established “Kashiwaya Sake Shop,” where you can sample local sake. This shop was recommended by our taxi driver. If you buy a sake cup, you can sample two types of local sake. We sampled the crisp, dry “Tenryo” and the fruity “Nigori” sake. Next up was “GERO GERO BUTTER,” with its catchy appearance that resembles melted butter. STAND] The buttermilk foot bath will leave your skin feeling moisturized. There is also a stylish eat-in space inside the store , which makes a great photo spot for Instagram. Butter soy sauce grilled rice balls and caramel nut butter sandwiches. The homemade butter had a strong flavor and was delicious! There were autographs from famous people lined up ! Next, we went to “Tachinomibito,” a standing bar renovated from an old house. Here’s the menu. The wide variety of drinks was exciting! First, we toasted with Hida local beer. Enjoying a drink on the go is exceptional! We chose Hida Gold and Hida Yuzu craft beers, which were clear and refreshing, and had a flavor that made us want to drink more . Our second drink was a slightly unusual doburoku cocktail, which was refreshing and easy to drink—a new discovery! “Yushimaan,” a Hida beef nigiri shop run by a long-established butcher , had melt-in-the-mouth Hida beef on top of shrimp crackers. This is definitely a must-try! Next, we went to “Gero Pudding,” marked by a cute frog. The interior, modeled after a public bathhouse locker, is lovely. This kind of playfulness is fun, isn’t it? The ducks scattered throughout the store make you want to take lots of photos ! I chose the retro and matcha flavor! Retro is a firm, old-fashioned pudding. The matcha is rich and highly recommended. The vanilla beans are plentiful, creating a rich flavor that spreads throughout your mouth. This is the earliest footbath in Gero Onsen, and a great place to stop for a break from your food tour . A face-in panel to commemorate your trip. 9,679km to New York! A playful sign. A monument to the site of Japan’s Three Great Hot Springs, giving you a sense of history. “Yuami-ya,” where steam rises from the hot springs, has a unique, eye-catching exterior decorated with bathtubs. Anyone can use this footbath 24 hours a day. A pudding heated by hot spring water is something you can only find in a hot spring town! The specialty, “Ontama Soft Serve,” is a sweet made by mixing a hot spring egg with soft serve ice cream. Stir well and enjoy the new texture! It’s a flavor I’ve never tried before. Take a leisurely stroll through the hot spring town while listening to the murmuring of the river. You can also find “Sarubobo,” a specialty of the Hida region, everywhere. Spending time surrounded by nature is comfortable and relaxing. Staying overnight, “Tonight, Playing in the Sky” “Shogetsu” is located on a hill, so it is called an inn in the sky. It’s time for the long-awaited dinner. The venue is the private dining room “Suikintei” in the sukiya style. It’s a fantastic space. There are 15 private rooms, so you can enjoy your meal in a private space . The shadows of the rooms are reflected on the water surface, creating an extraordinary feeling . The alcove of Suikintei also has a sense of elegance. Now, let’s enter the private room. You can enjoy a relaxing time in a completely private room where privacy is maintained. Here is today’s menu. A beautiful hassun like a jewel box. The bounty of the season is concentrated on this tray. The conch-shaped dish is adorable. Not only can you enjoy the food, but the dish itself is also enjoyable. The aperitif is local sake from Tohoku, which is being used to support the recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake. The dish is also really beautiful and summery. The grated yam contains octopus, making it perfect for battling summer fatigue. It is a cold corn soup. It is cool and perfect for summer. 味気ないです ね。 English: Yes, this dish that gives off the warmth of the earth is lovely The refreshing scent of myoga adds an accent Here is the appetizer It is two-tiered and luxurious The colorful crystal -patterned Japanese lantern container is cute This is pressed eel sushi The aroma when you open the bamboo leaves is also a delicacy The simmered dish is somen noodles When you open the lid, the scent of dashi broth rises up softly It is sashimi that is as fresh as can be The beautiful vermilion dish makes it even more appetizing Grilled salted sweetfish, a summer staple Served with watercress vinegar is also nice The fragrant aroma is irresistible Here is a summer taste, a boiled eggplant and conger eel The sweet fat melts in your mouth and finishes with freshly cooked rice and pickles. The rice itself is sweet and delicious. The rice is from Gifu Inochi no Ichi [Gin no Muki], which has been awarded the number one spot in Japan for several consecutive years. We finish off with red miso soup, of course, with its deep flavor permeating your body. The final dessert is cream anmitsu and melon . A blissful dinner that will satisfy both your stomach and your heart. This is the large public bath, “The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.” In keeping with its name, there is a painting of Princess Kaguya at the back. After your bath, you can spend some relaxing time in the rest area. There is also a massage chair, which will loosen up your body and relieve your fatigue. There are also three types of drinks available, which are great: rose hip tea, black bean tea, and barley tea. The health benefits are also listed, so you can choose one that suits your concerns of the day. Here’s a preview of the next episode! Two weeks from now, on Saturday, November 29th, at 6pm, we’ll be releasing… “Hidatei Hanaougi,” nestled in the quiet countryside of Hida Takayama. Their private hot spring, “Kamiyo no Yu,” springs from 1,200 meters underground and is like a natural beauty serum. Furthermore, this time we filmed all 12 rooms and the large public bath in addition to the room where we’ll be staying. If you’re interested, please subscribe to our channel and rate it highly! With more subscribers, it will be easier to negotiate requests like, “Can we film other rooms too?” or “Can you offer special deals just for our viewers?” We think we’ll be able to give back to everyone even more, so please support us! This is the view at night. It had a different atmosphere from the daytime. It was cloudy, but still beautiful. After getting out of the hot spring, we had a drink in our room. We toasted with local beer purchased from Kashiwaya Sake Shop. ♪ We even got a midnight snack! They also provide pickled plums and seaweed, which is a nice service. It’s a refreshing morning. The view is different from last night and my mind is cleansed. I quietly face the view in the morning lounge and enjoy the ultimate luxury of doing nothing. I also have breakfast here at Suikoten. There is something special about having breakfast in a private room filled with morning light. There is a line-up of heartfelt dishes that gently wake up your sleeping body . This is apparently local cuisine from the Hida region. The fragrant aroma of the magnolia leaf and miso is irresistible. The meat and miso go well together and make me feel happy. Each dish is carefully made. You can feel the warmth of the rice as it seeps into your body. The miso soup seeps into your body. It’s a moment when you think you’re glad to be born Japanese. This porridge was truly exquisite. The sweetness of the rice was amazing . The fluffy rolled omelet omelette oozed with broth. The playful Choju Jinbutsu Giga (Cartoon Animals Painting) dish was delicious, with a delicate flavor that made it easy to eat with rice. We enjoyed it all the way to the final dessert . Guests staying at Shogetsu can use the large public bath at our sister hotel, Gero Kanko Hotel. The connecting corridor is on the first floor. Please note that there are set opening hours! Next time, I’d like to go to Gero Kanko Hotel too♪ After checking in, I went to “Nodoka’s Ajidokoro Miyachika,” a restaurant specializing in wild sweetfish. It has a Tabelog rating of 3.53 and is visited by many celebrities. There is a large fish tank in front of the restaurant, where you can enjoy the sweetfish that were swimming there just moments ago. There are also plenty of souvenirs available inside the restaurant . The special seats are a great location, allowing you to listen to the murmuring of the river. The terrace seats are also spacious and lovely. Dogs are allowed on these terrace seats! Spread out before us is the majestic Nagara River. We are about to enjoy the bounty of this river. They also have a kaiseki menu, where you can enjoy plenty of sweetfish. I decided to have “Nagara Zen” and “Ayu Sushi.” There was a guide on how to eat sweetfish at my seat, as you would expect from a sweetfish specialty restaurant! This is sweetfish simmered in syrup. It was so tender even down to the bones, it was truly exquisite. This is sweetfish nanbanzuke, which is a refreshing and good palate cleanser. This is sweetfish vinegar dish. The cool glass dish is also lovely. The crunchy texture of the cucumber is a nice accent. And then there is the sweetfish sashimi that was swimming just a moment ago. It has an elegant sweetness. The bamboo dish is also cool and lovely. There is no odor at all, it is truly exquisite. And then there is sweetfish sushi. It looks so beautiful, it’s almost a shame to eat it. The moderate flavor of the vinegared rice brings out the umami of the sweetfish. This is grilled sweetfish with salt. Enjoying grilled sweetfish with the view of the Nagara River couldn’t be more luxurious! This is fried sweetfish. It’s surprisingly light and refreshing, with the bones popping with a crackling sound – a texture I’ve never experienced before! This is fried horse mackerel, with a well-seasoned batter. The batter is crispy and the meat is plump, and it pairs perfectly with the sweet sauce. To finish, we have sweetfish rice packed with the flavor of sweetfish, which we pour broth over and eat like ochazuke. Of course, it’s also delicious just as is. The cold broth is perfect for the hot season. The balance between the sweet rice and the saltiness of the broth is exquisite. For dessert, we had matcha warabi mochi. Both my stomach and my heart were filled and I was very satisfied. Finally, I’d like to share the price of this stay and my honest impressions of my stay at “Gero Onsen Tonight: Playing in the Sky” The greatest feature of “Shogetsu” is the spectacular skyline overlooking Gero Onsen town. Our 78-square-meter Japanese-Western room offered a spectacular panoramic view from the wall-to-wall glass windows. Dinner was served in a private room, featuring a memorable kaiseki banquet featuring fifth-grade Hida beef. Breakfast was a gently seasoned Japanese meal, gazing out at the beautiful scenery of Gero. So, the price for a two-day, one-night, two-meal plan for one room for two adults was… 69,300 yen! Here are my impressions after actually staying there. What I particularly liked was the spectacular view from the guest room, the quiet, high-quality space, and the sense of privacy and attentive hospitality you can only get from a small inn with only 21 rooms. On the other hand, I felt that a few more amenities could be improved. If you’d like to stay at this inn, please check out the link to the reservation website in the description. And if you’d like to support this channel… please subscribe and rate it highly! As the number of subscribers increases, it becomes easier to negotiate, such as “Please let me film other rooms too!” or “Can you offer a special plan just for viewers?” This channel posts videos with the theme of high-quality stay experiences, surrounded by “breathtaking views,” “hot springs,” and “tranquility.” We look forward to your comments so that you don’t regret choosing a lodging for an important day like a wedding anniversary or 60th birthday celebration.
