🥓 Shishito Peppers WRAPPED in BACON
A simple yet flavorful dish where juicy bacon is wrapped around mildly spicy shishito peppers and pan-fried until crispy. Perfect as a side dish, appetizer, or for lunch boxes!
🍽 Ingredients (Serves 3)
15 shishito peppers
15 slices of thin-cut bacon
🔪 Preparation
1.Wash the shishito peppers well.
2.Remove the stems.
3.If desired, use a toothpick to gently remove the seeds inside (optional — the seeds can add extra spiciness).
🍳 Instructions
1.Wrap each shishito pepper with one slice of bacon, wrapping diagonally.
2.Place the wrapped peppers seam-side down in a cold frying pan.
3.Heat over medium heat and cook for 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the bacon is evenly browned and crispy.
4.Once cooked through, remove from heat and transfer to a serving plate.
💡Tips
The saltiness from the bacon is enough — no extra seasoning needed!
Start cooking with the seam side down to help the bacon stay wrapped.
Removing the seeds is optional, but recommended if you’re sensitive to spice — some shishito peppers can be unexpectedly hot.
