K Korea Korea Eating
Korea! Korea’s Signature Street Food Today, I bought Korean street foods, those that we could eat
while walking along. As you can see it from here, there are many signature foods. Every season, new foods are released but I bought the classic ones. Let me introduce first. There are a few that I purchased
in a higher price than usual but I’d like to introduce
what street foods are out there. First, this is dakgangjeong (sweet crispy Korean fried chicken) A regular cup size is 5000 won
about 500 yen. And cheese tteok-bokki Cheese tteok-bokki is usually sold in a cup, which is about 2-3000 won. I bought a bigger one, 1.5 serving size, and also had extra cheese in it,
so it was 5,000 won. I also bought kim-mari, fried glass noodles wrapped in seaweed. And this is hotteok, a sweet pancake.
It’s a signature Korean street food. It’s mostly 1,000 or 2,000 won. This one was 2,000 won,
about 1-200 yen. And this one! The twisted donut that often appeared in my video. It’s like a nejire twist (Japanese twisted donut). Korean ones are soft and chewy inside and crispy outside. This Korean twisted donut was 800 won, about 80 yen. And this! The popular tornado potato,
a spiral potato skewer. This was probably 3-4,000 won,
about 3-400 yen! And the last one.
This is unique and maybe never seen. Is it a newly released food? Sweet potato cheese rice cake skewer In Japanese, it’s called
satsumaimo cheese mochi. I think it’s a deep-fried rice cake
filled with sweet potato and cheese. And this is taiyaki,
a mini taiyaki(Japanese fish-shaped cake) and walnut cake. This round walnut cake is
taiyaki, a mini fish-shaped cake. Eh? Hold on, I ordered half-half, but it’s strange. Oh, there it is. This walnut-shaped cake is filled with walnut and
sweet red bean paste. I ordered half-half, a total of 12 inside.
It’s 6,000 won, about 600 yen. Quite expensive. I knew the price now since I was in a hurry. I paid with card
but many stores only accept cash, so those having street foods,
please prepare cash. FYI, street foods in tourist spots like like Myeong-dong are very expensive. Today’s beverage is soda. Nice. Should I start with this tornado potato? Would it be ok to eat after time? A spiral potato slice skewer The guy took out a potato in front of me, did like this and deep-fried right away. Bon appetite. It got a little cold after time but still very delicious! I’d say the crispiness of the potato
is still alive, amazing! Wow, this is very good. We can choose different powders for this. There were butter garlic powder, cheese powder,
bbq powder and chili powder. I chose butter garlic powder. I picked the right one.
Amazingly delicious. Butter garlic!
It never fails. Even the popcorn. I can even shred it like this with my hands to share all together. Nice. This is very tasty. If it’s freshly fried, it’d be very crispy and more delicious,
but even after time, the potato isn’t fully cooked. The half-cooked crispy potato
tastes great. Great texture to eat. When pushed, it turns into
a regular potato lol. What did I say just now? Good. Wow, incredible. Unbelievably delicious. It seems to be very amazing today. It’s an amazing day. Street foods should be eaten
while walking along the street. I strongly suggest them to my friends alongside the expensive prices.
Street foods should be eaten on the street. If we skip something on that day,
0:06:02.360,0:06:04.360
we always get to say,
‘Let’s have street food,’ the next day! Many of my friends do that. Street foods are that much delicious. For the next one…
should I try tteok-bokki? There are cheese and the regular one. I chose cheese but
what happened to the cheese? Almost gone. It’s a tteok-bokki with cheese, fishcake and scallion. It’d be hard to see, but it looks like this. This gochujang sauce isn’t that spicy. There are spicy places
but usually, those sold in tourist spots aren’t that spicy, I guess. Tteok-bokki Nice and chewy This place is quite spicy though… It’s ironic.
From the street foods that I had so far, they weren’t so spicy though. Anyway, it tastes amazing. The sweetness of the gochujang sauce… Spicy but sweet. Tteok-bokki is an essential menu. A must-have for street foods. But we quickly turn full when having this. Aru aru
(Japanese expression of ‘a thing to empathize’) Those who really want to have tteok-bokki, instead of having it as a street food
try something else and go to a tteok-bokki place for lunch
or on a different day. Delicious. When it comes to street food, it’s indeed tteok-bokki. But this tteok-bokki is… kind of small and round. I prefer long tteok-bokki. Long tteok-bokki makes me feel full. I bought this kim-mari in the tteok-bokki place. It’s a deep-fried glass noodle wrapped in seaweed. I have this often with tteok-bokki. Dip it in the sauce like this. Those disturbed by bitten food, please skip this part. Yes, glass noodles are inside like this. This has sesames too. Nice, very delicious. The moist part has sesames inside, which tastes savory. Tteok-bokki tastes completely different based on the restaurant and the chef, so those who can’t eat it, try to have
it in a different place. If you have it in a different place,
you may find it tasty somehow. Please order kim-mari together. It will be a great combination to try. I tried to have dakgangjeong, but where is the skewer? Oh, it’s here. What a surprise! I’ve been looking for it since eating tteokbokki and wondered where it was. They’re gonna give you this skewer. So to speak,
it’s similar to this gochujang sauce but this gochujang isn’t spicy at all. It just tastes like sweet gochujang. And it has some sunflower seeds on. Fried chicken coated with sweet gochujang sauce. Very delicious. It’s just amazing. Showing you in silence (¯ω¯)ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
0:11:42.900,0:11:44.700
There is this much sauce on but the batter still tastes crispy. The gochujang flavor is strong and soaked enough in the fried batter, delicious. This also has a cheese powder version, coated with cheese powder. Regular dakgangjeong or cheese powdered dakgangjeong It’s different based on the stores but I saw a place with cheese powder on it. In the flavor aspect, it can taste like chili sometimes. Rather than tasting like chili sometimes,
it does taste a little chili. Tteokbokki
I saved it for this. Nice. Wow, twinkling. Dakgangjeong

  5. 韓国の屋台は揚げ物が多いのかな。とぎもちさんの好みの問題なのかな。日本の屋台は焼きものが多いですよね。
