방콕 50끼 중간 점검🔥 우리가 또 찾은 최애 맛집들 공개! 그리고 카펠라 방콕 브이로그

We’re wrapping up our Phuket trip and heading to Bangkok. Bangkok is full of things I want to eat. Since Bangkok doesn’t have mountains, you can see the city line. Let’s head to the hotel first. Arrived after sunset! Here’s the hotel. (Ranked 6th in Bangkok Top 50 Eats) Our first meal at Lek Seafood. Feels like it changed… but also stayed the same. Muji bro grabs a beer first, of course. – Why the pouty face? – Huh? Really? It’s super refreshing. That’s right~ Stir-fried basil pork. Morning glory. Gun’s watermelon smoothie. Ah! This is what we came for. The instant Tom Yum ramen. Delicious. With plain white rice, Raju = ramen + rice 🤣 Seriously tasty. This Bangkok trip is totally a foodie trip. We’re revisiting the restaurants we loved. Muji is super hungry. (Rank 22) – So, what we’re eating here is this. – Looks like that. Right. It looks like this, but maybe they don’t have it here. Ah! Found it. It’s this one. We’ll just eat lightly. The delicious smell is making me hungry. One of these, one of those. Where did it go… where is it? Oh, this one’s tasty too. This one’s too filling. – Just as an appetizer. – Sounds good. Thank you. This is Zaru Ramen. Wow! Why does the seaweed smell so good? – Tastes good, right? – Yeah. Haha, eating it without dipping in the sauce! This is my favorite menu: cold ramen topped with garnish. Mmm~! The sauce is delicious, nice and tangy. The visuals look a bit weird though haha. Still delicious. We gotta eat quick and head to the next restaurant. Off to eat tonkatsu and kimchi hot pot. (Rank 24 Maisen) The Maisen sign has changed! (Rank 24) It looks even more Japanese now! There used to be tables set up all the way to the front. Came here for kimchi hot pot~ Lots of tonkatsu options and they’ve added new menu items. Looks delicious~ Unlimited refills of cabbage when ordering a set. Karaage. When you order the set, it comes out like this. Wow~ Ah.. was it always this little? Eat it bubbling hot. Sirloin cutlet appears too. Since we only had Thai food in Phuket, we needed some Korean and Japanese food. As expected, it’s tasty! Even the dessert included in the set is neat and tidy~ 869 baht (keeps getting more expensive 😮‍💨) (Rank 34 Koi Thé) Dessert is Koi Kopi. Tasty honey milk tea. All in the same building, Silom Complex. Next time, I should try this place. Huku Tea, seems like it copied Hey Tea. This one? This is the famous one? When Muji bro came to Bangkok without me, he said it was so good he almost fainted from the bread. This place is also a pop-up store in Silom Complex. – This one – Milk cream. – This is the best one. – Oh? Really? Bet it’s all the same. Buy 4 get 1 free? – How do you buy it? – Back then… – If you bought 4, you got 1 more. – Still the same now, 4 Free 1. Can we finish all 5 of these? Thank you. First time trying it. Full of cream~ Oh~ Delicious. Gone in a flash– Oh! Why is it so soft? Perfect as a snack! Way softer than the cream puffs I used to eat a lot at Japanese convenience stores. So soft you could eat it without teeth, just with gums. – Doesn’t even take a minute, 30 seconds to finish. – Right, right. But when I bought it last time and ate it a day later, the taste changed. Damn, better eat it right away. – And it’s not expensive. – 25 baht, 5 for 100 baht. (After a massage) Perfect to grab one. Massage done, refreshing coconut water, totally healthy. Our next meal. (Rank 5) Our favorite place, Ban Somtum. It’s Michelin, you know. – Do we look like Koreans? – Wow, a Korean menu! How did they know right away? Even with so many Japanese here, the menu looks classy. Here, you gotta eat chicken wings. You gotta eat pork jowl. You must eat som tam. – Eat a lot. – Eat a lot? Because we’re pigs~ It was so good I wanted to order another. Try it first and then decide. You don’t need anything else at this place. Wow~ It’s so good. Excuse me. Please bring us one more. The smoky flavor makes it amazing. This lettuce isn’t just decoration. This is Korean style. Oh? Hahahaha in the hand! Hahaha. Muji bro just shoves it straight in his mouth. This is the must-eat dish here, fried chicken wings. (As soon as it goes in the mouth) Oh! Why’s the chicken wing meat so plump? Only those who’ve tried it will know this taste. What’s it taste like? – A taste only those who’ve tried know. – Hahaha. The chicken’s so fresh, steam is rising~ Bring us another one. Why does the pork jowl taste different from Korea? The texture when chewing, the look, everything’s different. There’s more lean meat than fat. In Korea, it’s tasty too but too greasy with fat. – This one’s greasiness is – Less. That’s why you keep eating it. Oh~~ More chicken wings arrived. – Has sesame oil flavor – Wow~ No way it can’t be delicious. Ate until full, 1,056 baht. On the way home, we stopped by! (Rank 45 McDonald’s) McDonald’s. Ice cream cone, 15 baht. Thank you. The shape looks squished, but, Oh~ Tasty. The taste isn’t the same everywhere in the world, right? It was so hot, so McDonald’s ice cream~ It was such a delicious day. (The next day at lunch) Right in front of our accommodation, there was a market street. They sold clothes, food, and toys. Wow, that’s no joke. Looks really tasty. I didn’t know the place in front of our lodging was such a hip spot. What’s this? Vitamins? Oh? Will you buy me a Goyard bag? Ah… (Looks like Muji saw a fake Goyard bag.) Okay~ Let’s go eat. We’re heading to the Korean restaurant ‘YoGiYo’. Sometimes we need to fill our stomachs with Korean food. (New) Here it is, the Korean restaurant ‘YoGiYo’. Wow.. Korean BBQ. Stir-fried sausage and vegetables, stir-fried octopus. As expected, it’s a Korean restaurant. Perfectly cold beer with a cold beer glass. The beer is frozen. As expected, side dishes are served. Ah! Come to think of it, even water is free. The gimbap came out first. Tteokbokki was served too. I think it’s my first time eating tteokbokki in Thailand. Since I haven’t been to Dookki in Thailand. The owner here is Korean, so the taste is authentic. (Talking about how the owner makes noodles by hand..) More and more people come looking for jajangmyeon and jjamppong. We also came because we heard it’s delicious~ This is the famous jjamppong. Wow, the color is spot on. (Slurp) – Oh? – Oh~? – Tastes like in Korea. – Really?? With each bite, it gets even tastier. This is the famous jajangmyeon. (Other YouTubers also came.) It’s been a while since we had authentic Korean recipes. Total: 1,038 baht. (New) Next, we came to a new café. A café inside the market alley, my first time here~ Wow, they sell cold brew in different varieties. (Today Muji’s fashion is stealing the show) (feat. shirt bought at Taemu) Juice cart in front of the café. Small? Medium? Large? Wow, they make it right there. How much is it? 35 baht. Let’s try it. Ohh, sour? – Just the raw ingredient. – Hm.. right? Why is it salty? But for 35 baht (1,000 KRW), it’s great. Juice worth trying. (Got a massage.) Mr. Fit. We crushed our shoulders and feet. My shoulders melted. There’s something here that looks like Seongsu Dior. This one might look prettier.. They’re equally pretty. For dinner, one of our other favorites.. Audrey. Auder, Auder (meaningless words) Tom Yum Kung pizza, Tom Yum Kung pasta, Volcano dessert. (Rank 3) Audrey used to be on the 5th floor of Central Embassy.. Seems like it’s changed to Maisen. – Oh my god. – Audrey was there? Nara and Audrey.. Nara and Maisen.. was it Nara’s spot..? Oh no.. it’s gone.. It turned into a strange unknown Thai restaurant. Sad about our Audrey.. Next, another place we love. (New) Another Hound Café where we refilled wraps many times. Tteok-ssam. Came to eat Baek Ji-young’s Tteok-ssam. – Everything looks delicious, – Yeah, all looks good. Wow, such a luxurious atmosphere. We came here after seeing Baek Ji-young’s YouTube where she ordered Tteok-ssam. Actually, Tteok-ssam isn’t the real name; it’s wide noodles like rice noodles wrapped with meat. It’s not rice cake, but noodles. Still, we call it Tteok-ssam~ Even those who can’t eat cilantro can enjoy this dish. Lettuce + chewy noodles + meat + sauce + cilantro. Cilantro! Please add cilantro. – Is it tasty as expected? – Yeah. Truffle risotto. Delicious. The portion is too small though.. The name of this dish is ก๋วยเตี๋ยวท่อหมูสับ (Kway Teow Tho Moo Sub). You must try it. Even after eating everything, it feels like we won’t be full.. – Please give lots of cilantro. – Lots of meat. Please add lots of cilantro. Next is steak. – Mm.. mmm~ – Oh, really? Is it Crying Tiger? – Yeah. – Wow!! Can’t believe we found Crying Tiger here. This was the dish we’d been hunting for. 👍👍 (New) Let’s get a small size. We’re… still not full.. – Okay – Okay One small size, and one bread. We’ll pack it and eat at home. Late-night snack secured! Song Fa Bak Kut Teh, Thai branch. I think the broth is a bit salty—how about you? It’s salty. The pepper flavor is strong. As expected, it’s better to eat this locally—in Singapore, I think. Milk bun from the convenience store. – Feels like it’s two days old – Right. After two days it might not taste good. – Tasty – Tasty? Hahahahaha Kinda similar to the bread we bought yesterday.. Strong milk flavor. Huh? This is worth buying again, actually. We ate a lot at the lodging and now we’re going to sleep~ Next day, lunchtime. (Rank 8) This is “COCA,” a restaurant we really love. – One mango smoothie, one taengmo-ban (watermelon shake) – Gasp! The taengmo-ban here is seriously good. – Pork in Thailand is so tasty, right? – Absolutely~ Mm! (Delicious) Hehe, got surprised. The truffle aroma is intense. Udon—comes as a set like this. It was in the photo. This place is a shabu-shabu spot. The broths are Tom Yum Goong and truffle mushroom. – We need to order a lot – Yeah, this is 100g.. Extra meat. You know that thing? Koreans can’t eat with this one; we use this one. It’s a fried-rice spoon. It was tasty, but now that I look, there was a lot of fatty part.. Ate to the full: 1,652 baht. Tonight we’re off again to have another dinner we love. (Regular spot, but new to us) Yamachan, whose main branch is in Nagoya. There were no seats at Yamachan so we’re waiting in line, – Here you are. – Oh, thank you. We got corner seats at the counter. He said “Here you are,” haha. It’s hard to pour Coke like that, and the Coke isn’t even half full. “Dōzo”—here you are. Yamachan~ Moving to a table! Niiice~ This is it? Kimchi nabe (kimchi hot pot). – Tasting it, they seasoned it with fish sauce. – Really? Is it better than in Japan? They don’t sell this in Japan. – They don’t have this in Japan? – Nope. (They do have it at Nagoya Yamachan.) This is the kimchi nabe we eat in Thailand. This is what we come here for. Yep, this is what we come to eat. They didn’t have rice, so we ordered this as well. Ta-da. Wow, I can hear the crispiness from here. But you know what? Compared to Ban Somtum, there’s less meat on the chicken wings.. Cheaper than Ban Somtum. It’s 139 baht for 5 pieces, right? Not sure how much Ban Somtum charges? Over there.. (Ban Somtum is 130 baht for 5) The chicken itself is really good, – and Yamachan’s signature seasoning is quite salty – but full of umami. – Do they use a lot of MSG? – I heard Thailand uses a lot of MSG.. And they sprinkle a ton of black pepper, So—pepper lovers are gonna love it. Delicious. Now, compare them. – Huh? Why is one side so small? – Yeah, clearly smaller. Boss… Tastes like salmon. It’s a salmon rice ball. – Why do I keep reaching for it? – It’s subtly addictive. Nicely salty. Another day we ate really well. Total: 1,592 baht. (Next day) We’re moving to a new lodging. We were at an Airbnb inside this market alley, and you have to head right to catch a taxi or Grab. The next accommodation— we’re really going to the world’s No.1 hotel. Experiencing extremes. Seriously, even on the way here I noticed—doesn’t the market food look clean? Very neat. It was a (market) that was cooler than expected. Our next hotel is, drumroll~! Capella. We came into the living room to check in. How do you feel about coming straight from an Airbnb to Capella? No need to say anything. Why ask. – Our Deoksoo. – Old photo of Deoksoo. We’re in the room now. Luckily, we got an upgrade. After checking in at Capella, we’re heading nearby to another tasty spot we love. A Michelin-recommended wonton place. I really loved it here. The meat tastes like Bee Cheng Hiang’s. I also came back because I kept craving how good it was. But the reason we ended up here— I originally said, let’s go to this famous noodle shop, but it turned out to be really bad.. I think it was the place that ranked 50th in Bangkok Top 50 Eats. So we were like, ugh… let’s just go back and eat something else, and on the way— we saw the Michelin sign at the place right next door and went in! – It was here. – And it was super delicious. This is the one! (Rank 7) It’s open. Wow! It’s awarded through 2025. – We came last year.. – No customers again today—hello. Same seats as back then. They have special menu items, and this one was great. Shrimp wontons? They’re 18 baht each. (For shrimp wontons) Let’s have three each. If you’re around here, make sure to visit at least once! – Tasty? – Yeah. Right~! That’s the taste. So good it’s almost annoyingly good. So good—great food and a great hotel. Glad we didn’t kill time and came early. Six wontons packed with bouncy noodles and plump shrimp. The broth is really clean. – Chili oil? – Let’s experiment with it here. Did I add too much? (It’s just spicy.) – The wontons and shrimp balls were so good we ordered extra, right. – Yeah. Then they brought only shrimp without broth. – Tasty. – Mmm! Don’t you get a sesame oil note? Is it good? I even went “mm~.” Actually, this wasn’t the restaurant we were expecting in this area. But it was so good we ordered another bowl..! Was it as good as expected? Yeah, it was good… but the impact wasn’t quite like the first time. Why’s that? That first bite back then was mind-blowing. Maybe the second time felt familiar since we kind of knew the taste. That pho place over there looks good. NHA BIN—someday I’ll go. And now we’re off to eat the “True Jajang” we originally planned to have here. – Before we get too full. – Let’s pick up the pace. I can tell just from the color now. (Rank 34) True Jajang. Hello. Two people. Jajangmyeon, jjamppong, and simple snack dishes. How to pour without foam? Please show us. You pour it like this. We’re not supposed to drink it an hour later, right? See? No foam at all, right? Yeah, that’s better than yesterday. The jajangmyeon color looks legit, right? The aroma is amazing; the visuals pass too. The portion is really small. A hearty young guy could finish this in four bites? Back in the day I’d have eaten this in one bite. Jjamppong. Jajang’s buddy is jjamppong. I think the broth was the tasty part. (Slurp) Feels more like a spicy kalguksu than jjamppong… Kinda tastes like instant ramen too… So! How is it—your first time back at True Jajang in a while? – Feels like the taste changed a bit… – Oh my god… Still tasty though, right? Hmm… the taste is… It doesn’t taste like jajangmyeon. – Really? – There’s a butter note. What flavor? What do you mean by that?! Butterscotch candy—like butter-scotch candy. I had such high hopes for this place… I’ll try it anyway. Why does it taste like butter? If it had tasted like this from the beginning, it wouldn’t rank so high. The jjamppong doesn’t taste like jjamppong either. This is that cool, peppery soup that’s good for a hangover. – Why does it feel like kalguksu to me? – Kinda has that vibe. This isn’t a Korean recipe. (Looks like the chef changed…) (The taste has changed…) 216 baht. Now we’ll head back to the hotel and enjoy it. And watch this kind of parade too. In Capella’s Living Room, there are many free drink options; we asked if takeout was possible—turns out it is. So we asked for two iced Americanos. Wow… what a service. Thank you. Now we’re going to the pool. (Water, fruit) Awesome, right? Isn’t this so thoughtful? They set the fruit on ice like this. Now we’re going to eat a bunch of good stuff at the hotel. We even tried the pool water while swimming. The water’s a bit salty. How can pool water be salty? Where are we headed now? Uh… “Muddle School.” Muddle class. – They teach mocktails and cocktails… – The class starts at 4. – If you stay at Capella, all of this is free, right? – Two classes a day at Capella. All free, and the morning classes seem to be exercise-related. Afternoons are activities. Looks like the 4 p.m. program is held in the Living Room. They’re setting something up over there~ First they explain the types of spirits and syrups, then you pick the spirit you want. Now we’re getting into the actual making. (Muji poured twice as much alcohol.) (Once it’s in the glass, that’s it.) (Even the decorative flowers go in.) (They clap for you—nice touch.) I made a mocktail. Try this too. Good~! Wow, this one’s even better. But there’s no alcohol. This one has no alcohol. – You’re not going to drink that, right? – No, I will. – You’re going to add champagne?? – Yeah. Ah, okay okay. If I pour champagne into this, I think it’ll pair really well. When you come to Capella, you don’t spend money on drinks, huh? Iced champagne juice. Mmm! I’ll try it. Eek… the taste got weird. After spending a bit of time in the Living Room, – This is the “Chin-Chin” event, right? – Yes, that’s right. They brought salmon (as finger food), right? The Chin-Chin event is basically— Normally, in this Living Room they serve free drinks and free alcohol, but for “Chin-Chin,” only from 5 to 6 for one hour, they offer things that weren’t provided before—some liquors and mocktails—so we came. Wow, it tastes like Thai tea? It’s so good! We enjoyed Chin-Chin, then enjoyed the sauna. We’ll head up to the room and get ready for dinner. What’s on tonight’s dinner menu? Tom Yum Goong and Pad Krapao Moo Sap, – and a Wagyu beef burger – Yep~ Som tam, summer wine, and taengmo-ban (watermelon shake). And if that’s not enough, cup ramen~ It’s room service. Smells amazing. Capella burger, som tam. Tom Yum Goong, Pad Krapao Moo Sap. I found the best burger of my life at Capella. It was insanely good. Highly recommend you try it if you get the chance. Calling it a day. We came for Capella breakfast. – It wasn’t like this before. – Yeah, it used to be a paper menu; a lot has changed. Here, you order from a menu rather than buffet. We ordered mostly Korean and Japanese dishes. We’re eating way too much for breakfast. After breakfast you changed into workout clothes—where are you going? Where to? We’re doing this thing called a TRX program… Not exactly sure what it is, but it’s at 11 a.m.—a light PT-style class free for Capella guests. I’m so stuffed, it’s a problem… I feel like I’ll keep burping during the workout. Ready to enjoy Capella? Ah, why am I so tired~ It’s the first time for both of us. Oh, the workout we always see on Instagram! It’s a full-body workout rotating on straps, using your body weight as resistance for set intervals. The class ran for a total of 40 minutes. For Capella to have a program like this… fantastic. How was it? Wow… soaked in sweat. I’m thinking, “Glad we did it.” Me too, but— – No, it’s just that when I saw the mirror, haha – Whenever I see a mirror I want to flex. Ah, that’s refreshing. Ah~ I feel great. If you skip even a day of exercise, your body feels stiff and heavy~ Workout done. Coconut water—perfect. – Only possible because it’s Capella. – Yeah. We took a short break. Enjoyed a swim. Had some beer, too. And grabbed a sandwich before dinner. A tasty, hefty sandwich. I didn’t know they’d use a vacuum like this. They were cleaning the room. Where to this time? Today we’re going to a wine tasting class. Yeah, they call it an “activity.” At a Michelin-starred restaurant here called Cote, – two Michelin stars – Oh, two stars, 2025. It’s held at Cote. The vibe is fantastic. The wine tasting program is also free, with four teams participating in total. Testing the reflector while we wait. Oh, it works. First is Capella Bangkok champagne. Second is a Thai wine, Cabernet Sauvignon. There was also Thai red wine. How to tell it’s a good glass for champagne— a single line of bubbles rising (meaning the glass has no scratches). I’m a lightweight, so Muji hyung drank it all. Check the programs and definitely try joining one. One more glass of champagne. Thailand is all about massage, right? – And us— – we’ve got our go-to massage therapist. – Time to smash those shoulder knots. – Yep. – I tried it and it was so good. – I see. That place is originally called Mr. Fit—seems to specialize in foot massage. Mr. Fit (same massage shop we came to last time.) Another Japanese spot we love in Bangkok. It’s called Aoi. (Regulars but “new”) This is Aoi in Siam Paragon. Let’s eat well! Us~ Let’s enjoy dinner~ Here… here… why is it so expensive just because it’s this branch? 4,000, 2,000 baht. We’ll just do udon, ramen, and one futomaki.. – Futomaki is 1,200 baht~ – The price went up. – How much was it? – 1,000 baht. It went up by 200 baht?! We’ll enjoy the meal. Here’s the udon. Wow, the noodles are really thick. Wow, what does it taste like? Like a super tasty beef tteokguk. The noodles are really thick. (So it has a chewy rice-cake-like texture.) This is chirashi-zushi. Wasabi into the soy sauce. Since this isn’t fresh wasabi… (it doesn’t mix well) I’ll pour it over the top. – This is how you’re supposed to eat it. – You’re supposed to mix it up. That’s a ton of rice. Futomaki, enter! It’s this big—the size is huge. Seriously huge. Impossible. Wow… how are you supposed to eat this? Even if it fits in one bite, it’s hard to chew. It’s really big, haha. – Tuna, salmon, tamagoyaki – Just dab some wasabi and eat. You guys, don’t overdo it either. Mmm~ tasty. Thanks for the meal. Day over! Next morning: Capella breakfast. Today we also got a hotel spa massage. After resting well at the hotel, we’re heading out for dinner. Straight to ICONSIAM. There’s a food court in the basement decorated like a floating market. It’s very clean and well done. After a good look around, we head upstairs. (Rank 30) Now, this is a restaurant we like. A seafood place. They basically sell tons of different seafood, and since it’s 9 p.m. at ICONSIAM, they might be closing. Okay, we’re in. It looks quite different from the photos. – (Crab fried rice) Mmm~! – How is it? Oh! That “mmm~” came out right away. – That good? – It’s delicious. Mmm~! Mmm~! (Tom Yum Goong) It’s that good? Tip Samai was closed, so we came here—good call. We enjoy dinner and take the free shuttle boat back to the hotel. Another day of great food and fun. Next day! The final breakfast. We kept ordering new breakfast dishes. We’re checking out, but we’ll enjoy the pool a bit more and hit the sauna before we go. How was it? Three nights and four days at Capella. Truly the best hardware and software—so perfect, with not a single flaw to point out. It was the best. – Not filming for YouTube? – (We are.) The burger was so good we ordered another. Wow, delicious. I just licked the sauce on my hand and it’s still good. – Still tasty? – Yeah. Finished the burger—1,082 baht. (Rank 41) Final dinner: KUB KAO KUB PLA. – Last taengmo-ban – Yep! Let’s have our last watermelon shake. They have lots of som tam varieties here, but I didn’t love this one. Hope it actually tastes great. The taengmo-ban is here. The color is so pretty. On our last day in Bangkok, tasty— – Coca-Cola – lol, the delicious Coca-Cola on our last day in Thailand. How do you eat this? First time seeing it. (Actually, not the first.) First, you need to mix in the peanuts. Feels like it’ll be good. (Pad Thai) Tasty. (Pad Kra Pao Moo Sap) – Mmm~! – Is it good? Oh~~ The egg is super soft, and this is spicy, right? The egg balances it out. I’ll try the Tom Yum Goong too. Wow… the best thing I’ve eaten in Bangkok. – Nailed it at the end, huh? – Phew, thank goodness. The reason we come to this restaurant is for this. (Crab pasta) It’s loaded with crab meat. Mmm~! The crab… The crab at yesterday’s place felt a bit cold, but here it’s really fresh. – The aroma is great. – Really? – Kinda like a really good aglio e olio? – Yeah. Makes you want to cook it at home, right? What seasoning do you think it is? Doesn’t seem like just salt—almost a soy sauce note. – Yeah, kinda soy sauce-y. – And not Thai spices either, quite spicy, but pleasantly so. – Chicken stock, maybe? – Mmm~ Thanks for the meal. We’re heading back to Korea now. Of all the food on this Thailand trip, the best one— the most memorable one—shall we say it together on three? One, two, three! – Ban Somtum! – Ban Somtum! Ban Somtum really exceeded expectations… The chicken wings were amazing, Pork jowl! Ah… that was so good… But what we ate today… what was it? KUB KAO KUB PLA. – That was good too. – That’s second place. We’re heading in now. As long as you eat, if you just eat well, if you just eat well, a trip if you just eat well, a trip is a success. Thanks for watching. See you in the next video.
