キングスフォードビールの石炭味覚テスト | どんなビールの味ですか?
When I bit into these leg quarters, they were they were good. They were great, don’t get me wrong. But that’s not the question. The question is, did I taste the beer? And how do they compare to Kings for Originals? And I’m going to put it to you like this. These leg quarters were good, but if you had blindfolded me and given me some leg quarters cooked with King Kings for the originals and beer coals, I wouldn’t have been able to tell the difference. So, I could not taste the difference between the two. Now, let’s go back to the cracking and popping we heard in the chimney. The more I think about it, what that cracking and popping is, those are those wood fibers that have been baked into the beer coals burning. And as I think more about it, I’m like, wait a minute. the fibers that they put in the coals to give it flavor. We’re burning off the majority of it when we’re getting our coals ready. And I didn’t even let wait until the coals ashed over, right? I caught them in the flavor zone and I still couldn’t get any flavor out of it. And imagine if you would have waited, we would have waited until the coals were fully ashed over, all those fibers would have been burnt up. So y’all, I think that’s the problem. I think just adding fibers to these coals is not going to do it cuz you burn up most of that and getting your charcoal ready. So I think that’s the problem that I have with these flavored briquettes is that by the time that our coals get ready, a lot of those flavor additives have already burnt off and we see little to no difference in the flavor. That’s my theory. So my recommendation to you is that if you want to level up your grilling game, don’t rely on flavored briquettes. You’re better off working on your process. You’re better off working on your fire management. Get you a quality briquette and work on your skills and being able to manage your fire to impart that flavor onto your food and not rely on some charcoal gimmicks and tricks, right? To think they’re going to help take your food from bad to average to good to great. I don’t think it I don’t think it works like
Kingsford’s Beer Coal is marketed to give food a “beer flavor.” I grilled chicken leg quarters to find out if there’s any real difference in taste. Here’s the honest verdict.

I couldnt tell the difference either
The label is advertising the Bud Lite taste, not the charcoal taste. Remember the old beer guzlers saying, "Lite beer, does not taste like real beer." Thus, Bud Lite has real beer taste; not the charcoal! It's just a misleading advertisement for the beer.
Heat kills off alcohol, no use of buying alcohol infused charcoal. Maybe a mopping of beer/alcohol mixture, will do a better job.
Thanks for testing, great information.
I did say on another video there might be a noticeable difference if using a snake method, for obvious reasons.
Worth testing but it seems like it's just a gimmick
i’ll wait until they make b&b with budweiser or b&b&b
Yeah charcoal is a heat source, buy a bag or two of any wood chunks use one chimney of charcoal brickets any kind start your fire heat your pit then add the wood chunks lay down the protein indirect shut it down walk awa45 minutes later you get color it may add an hour and a half to your cook but I will challenge anyone that clove will be the key and because I have belt this technique as my staple way of cooking anyone can cook over direct wood in the same timeframe as charcoal YES DIY flavored charcoal is just a advertised method of getting people’s attention to buy other stuff, I’m smoking Tri tips using Almond wood and cherry 💜✌🏾🙏🏾
yo
I didn’t notice a flavor or aroma either. Used it on my offset.
Great advice, there is no substitute for time spent over coals. You have to be willing to experiment, test, and go through a great deal of trial and error to level up your GAME. No rub is gonna do that for you, no charcoal is gonna do that for you, no injection, no 1 type of wood are going to do these things for you. YOU are the most important factor in leveling up your bbq GAME. It’s not the pit, it’s you. It’s not the rub, it’s you. Although these things can help enhance your bbq, YOU are more important than everything I just mentioned.
