サンタナ ロウからスパイシー バター チキンまで: 私のインド料理チャレンジは大成功!

Oh, I’m so sorry. That is not part of yoga. Toxic. Toxic. I got to go. [Music] Namaste. years ago I traveled to India and it happens to be one of my favorite cultures. I grew up in a small town called Yuba City and if you’re a Punjabi you have heard of Yuba City. Why? Because majority of Punjabis in America stay in Yuba City. There is a big culture of Punjabi there and I fell in love with the food. The food is so delicious. So, I’m about to eat some Indian food. And now that I’m reminiscing the past, guess what we’re going to make? We’re going to make Indian food today. Mhm. I can’t wait to get started. [Music] Today we are going to make butter chicken asati rice and garlic naan. I can’t wait. Now let’s go shopping. [Music] I cannot find anything. You know what? This is an American grocery store. Let’s go to an Indian grocery store. All right, you guys. Now, I want you to picture this. Me and my girlfriend are on the plane on our way to India. And right in front of us is food, right? Cuz we’re on the plane. And then when I look down, I see this cute little like baby shot glass of milk. And I thought to myself, I have not had milk since I was like a baby, right? So I just chug that thing like woo like it’s a shot glass. And u my girlfriend next to me looks at me so disgusted. Like I just lick the airplane window. And I’m looking at her like What? What’s going on? She’s like, it’s for your tea. And I’m thinking like, wait, hold up. I’m Asian. We don’t put milk in our tea. Well, apparently, I guess it’s an English thing that I did not know about. That is my story of my air airplane flight and learning how to drink tea with milk. Hey, hey, hey. [Music] Now we’re going to make basmati rice. So, here are the ingredients. Basmati rice, salt, butter. So now we’re going to put the basmati rice right inside here. M and the ratio is 1:2. So one cup of rice equals to two cups of water. We actually have to add some salt to it. We’re going to add some lovely butter. All right. So we are going to put the heat on low for about let’s say 10 minutes. Woo! Look. Ooh, look at Oh, look at that. That looks amazing. Now it’s time for Christiey’s laughs. Now I turn to you where Fluffy gets his opinion on an Indian criminal. Like, when was the last time you heard of Indians robbing a bank? Look at everybody. Oh, I can’t remember, bro. Cuz it doesn’t happen. First of all, Indian people are so nice and they’re so sweet. I can’t see it. You know, you’re going to rob a bank, you need authority. You need to come in there guns blazing. I said, “Get your ass on the ground now.” I can’t imagine. Would you please take the money? Why are you laughing? I am talking to you. Forget this. I am out of here. I don’t need this. He gets in the car. His partner is waiting for him. Did you get the money? They would not give me the money. Did you show them the gun? I showed them the gun. We better leave. They’re going to call the police. They’re still laughing. Where did you get the computer? They thought I was tech support. Cheers. All right. Now we are going to make garlic naan. M I’m just saying that my mouth is salivating. All right, so here are your ingredients. Water, sugar, dry yeast, allpurpose flour, yogurt, olive oil, unsalted butter, garlic, salt, cilantro. All right, so first we’re going to add some room temperature water. You’re going to have some sugar that doesn’t want to come out, but that’s okay. There you go. There it goes. Okay. Dry yeast. Oo, that one. That one wants to come out. All right. Put some Woo. There you go. Okay. Some flour. Yogurt. Ooh, I love yogurt. Some water to this mix. Put some oil. some salt. There you go. Some butter. Now, we’re going to mix it all up. Oh my gosh. Look at this. That’s okay. Don’t use that to mix up your uh dough. Lesson learned. Oh. Oh. Okay. I think I made this way more complicated than I should have, but that’s okay. All right. [Music] Oh, okay. Oo, squishy. I like it into this. And we’re going to let it, let’s say, rise in an hour. So, we shall see you in an hour, my delicious naan. [Music] It’s time to see this deliciousness of naan. Woo! Okay, so we’re going to take it and make a little ball right here like I see it in the video. Just stretch out with your hands. Stretch our All right, we’re going to put some oil to this. Dump you on. Whoop! There you go. Let’s flip it over. Woo! Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. So, I heard that it’s okay if it’s extra crispy on one side because it’s supposed to be. So, I’m like, that’s my type of cooking. Okay, next one. Woo! Oh, that’s extra crispy. Okay. Okay, now we’re going to start making sauce for the garlic naan. Let’s melt this butter. And then we’re going to put the minced garlic. Now, let me add some salt to it. There you go. The cilantro. Ooh. Yes. Right. Let’s put all this in here. [Music] Woo. [Music] [Music] Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and turn on your notifications. [Applause] Home. [Music] Let’s breathe first. Breathe in the fresh air. Okay, we’re reaching toward the heavens and we’re going all the way down back like this. Stretch it out. That stretches out your glutes. We’re coming back up like this. And this next one is called downward dog. Watch me first. You’re going to go down like this on your toes all the way forward and stretch that sphincter muscle all the way out. Prepare to do downward dog. Going forward, leaning. Yes. Ooh, this is my favorite position. Uh. Uh-huh. Oh. Oh, I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry. I just farted. That is not part of yoga. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. No. No. No. Toxic. Toxic. I got to go. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry. Got to go. Let’s make some butter chicken. So, here are your ingredients. Chicken, ginger, garlic paste, red chili powder, salt, tomatoes, onions, garlic paste, cashew, cassori, methy, garam masala, sugar, cashmere chili powder, butter, cream, malt vinegar. All right, let’s cut this up. All right. All right. Now we’re going to add some ginger garlic. Woo! Okay, right there. Red chili powder. Woo! Of course, just a tad bit of There we go. Right there of salt. And then we’re going to mix it all up together. Oo, look at that. M. That smells so good right there. Now, we’re going to let this marinate for about 10 to 15 minutes. [Music] Okay, we just took the marinated chicken. Woo! Out of the fridge. All right, there you go. Oh, I cannot wait to eat you. You smell so good. Oh, okay. Let’s flip it over. Ooh, so good. I can smell the chili pepper. Smells amazing. Okay, now the chicken is done and we’re going to put this in its own separate container. Now we’re going to dump in Woo! Yes! some onions, oil to this pot. Forget about the butter cuz we’re making butter chicken. [Music] Ooh, look at that. Woo! Now the onions are caramelized. M. Put in the tomatoes. [Music] Yes. And the cashews are next. M. Now we’re going to add some water. Garlic paste. M. And we’re going to add some malt vinegar. We are going to add some salt just to taste. Just like that. Chuga. Woo. Spread it all around. There you go. Right there. Woo! Barram masala powder. And last but not least, some chili powder. We’re going to let it simmer for about, let’s say, 15 minutes. All right. Woo! It is about time. Woo! Look at that. Now, what we’re going to do is put it in the blender. Okay, wish me luck. I hope it gets in. Woo! You need some arm strength when you uh cook. Okay. Okay. Okay. There you go. We’re going to put this right inside this delicious blender. A Here we go. [Music] [Laughter] All right. That sounds extra blended. Woo! Okay, help me out. Let’s do this. Oo! Come on, shake. Come out! Come out! Come out! All right, now we’re going to add the chicken. Woo! And little Ooh, look at that. M. All right, so we’re going to have this simmer and we’re going to add some butter right here. And then, of course, the cream. We’re going to mix it all up. M. Now, we’re going to take the cassori nuti. Oo. Okay. Okay. All right. Look at that. Okay. All right. Now, we’re going to let it simmer for about 5 to 7 minutes. Ooh. Woo. Look at that. Doesn’t that look delicious? M. I can smell it, too. Woo. Okay. Yeah. [Music] Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and turn on your Welcome to Tofu Talks. Now, here’s your host, Tofu. Thank you so much. Welcome to my talk show. You heard of Slum Dog Millionaire? Now, I will show you my slum dog billionaire. Now, this is a story all about how my rough life flipped, turned upside down. And I like to take a minute, just sit right there. I’ll tell you how I became the puck with billionaire flare in the outskirts of Bev Hills. Born and raised in the alleys is where I spend most of my days. Chilling out, barking, scrging for scraps, dodging dog catches and occasional cats. Win a couple of fleas who were up to no good. Started making trouble in my neighborhood. I got in one little fight. Mom said, “You’re a star. It flew me first class to a house bizarre.” She named me tofu. Gave me gourmet cuisine. Now I’m snacking on salmon like a fluffy machine. Got a bowl of dog ice cream every other night. And my first day is popping oh so bright. I joined a country club for pups in LA. We’re sees a million trains dogs every day. He said you’re calm collected. You got millionaire flare. I said, “Of course, bro. I’m the slum dog billionaire. Now I live with Christy. She’s my human queen. Two cats, Kiki Swiss, they keep it serene. I’m always being filmed. Got the paparazzi stare. Every time I walk by, they be gasping for air. Sometimes I feel bad for the pups on the street. Cuz not every dog gets to be a slum dog billionaire. So next time you see me with my ice cream cone in my custom fur coat sitting on the throne, just remember my story from the struggle to flare. I’m tofu the slum dog billionaire. [Music] All right, now it’s time for spit or swallow. Now let’s get started and let’s plate this. Putting on the basmati rice. Ooh, look at this. And the butter chicken. [Music] Let’s put the cream right on top. Look at that. Woo. It’s a casori methy. Oo. Last but not least, the garlic naan. Oo, look at that. All right, the first thing I want to try is this butter chicken. OMG, I can’t wait. [Music] M. Oh my god. Amazing. So sweet, spicy, the perfect amount of spice. The chicken is tender. It’s a swallow. Woo! I got to check out my basmati rice. Oh yeah. Now it’s time to try it. Here we go. M. I am so proud of myself. It is so cloudy tasting. Woohoo. Let me tell you that basmati rice is a swallow. Okay, last but not least, garlic nod. Wish me luck. I hope I did this right. I know the first few that I just made. Not too sure, but these are the last two. Let’s see. Okay, bonapet. Here I go. [Music] M. It tastes exactly like the restaurant. Omg. Three smalls today. I am so proud of this dish. I can now cook Indian food. I always thought it was so hard, but this turned out great. All right, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and turn on your notifications. Jesus loves you, and so do I. Bye. [Music]
